Hi all,

 

on last Friday (3 days ago) , 8 eggs were collected. Today (3 days later ), the doctor told me that 4 embryos have developed and I’m scheduled for the transfer in 2 days hoping to have at least 2 embryos with good quality, even I was waiting to freeze 2 more embryos, although at this point I don’t know if they will be enough.

 

my concern is if having 4 embryos from 8 eggs is normal ? At this point will I have any possibility to freeze any embryo. Thanks a lot.

I would expect no more than 2 day 5 blasts from 4 fertilized eggs, unfortunately. That's just averages though, some people do better. The younger you are the better your chances.

Hello im new to all this forum chat. Im on my 1st cycle of ivf, had icsi and will be 5 days tomorrow and going to get blastocyst implanted. I had 5 eggs 3 didnt make it, 2 fertilised. Im wondering if anyone has been advised on grading of embryo and had a baby via icsi with fragmentation of embryo....hope this makes sense. Thanks in advance
