We had to stay in hospital an extra night day daughter caught jaundice . Hopefully we get to leave tomorrow. My ribs are still sore but I feel so much relief now that she out .
Yes that would be so cute if we could meet up. Well let me try to sleep when she is lastnight she kept us up lol

I have a labour induction plan. I saw my primary midwife today. My cervix is still unfavourable. She will try to place a foley catheter Sunday. Said there is a 50/50 chance that will work. If it doesn't work, I have a BPP at the hospital Monday morning, then I will try a second crack at the foley at the tender hands of the residents. If that one fails too we're gonna give baby another week.

She said baby is off centre and there is a chance I will have another prolonged push (I pushed 2.5 hours with my son) so that is making me not want to try a home birth, because I would want to transfer to the hospital if its taking too long. She said that's risky with 2nd time moms because that could turn into a car baby.

I will have the doula and my husband will stay home with our son, which will be easier on him especially because he can't visit in the hospital.

I had no idea BH can be that bad. Can you take tylenol and gravol to try to sleep?

Husband and I adulted today. Did some errands we've been putting off. Trying to get a deep cleaning done so we can bring baby home to a sparkling clean house. Haven't told anybody about the induction to avoid being pestered for updates. lol

I was supposed to get a foley catheter this morning but my midwife warned me to wait for a confirmation call from her before coming in because someone else was getting ready to pop. Sure enough, no call from her so she's catching another baby or sleeping.

Update: I saw her this afternoon and my cervix changed enough that she decided I don't need the foley. She did a stretch and sweep and I'm going in tomorrow at 9am.

Hi ladies. My 39 week induction turned into a cesarean after vaginal birth (!!!!!). After multiple membrane stretch and sweeps, artificial rupture, no epidural, all the standing and ball squatting in the world and running up the pitocin twice and being on the max dose (20) for hours I never got contractions strong enough to dilate the cervix more than 5cm. With my son I was ripping the handrails off the bed at 8. I guess baby really wanted to be 41 weeks and change like older brother. Every time my midwife upped the dose it would pick up for a while and my body would habituate and the contractions would spread out and weaken. So long story short I got a cesarean section early yesterday morning. On the bright side the joke labour didn't bother baby at all and she came out pink and screaming. Baby girl is a pound lighter and a few cm shorter than older brother so the issue is not size at all. My midwife was very reluctant and turned out to be right. Baby is great. Latched right away and make plenty of diapers. Her bili is a bit high so I've got to feed her. Thankfully one of the plusses of being a midwife patient is that I got to leave after one day. I was only the OB GYN's patient for the actual surgery.

Hi London, somehow I think I did post something yesterday but I end up didnt 😂 guess its happen when someone on full strength pain killer😂😂 my meds are crazy, im taking tylenol Around the clock (every 4 hrs) Naproxen every 12 hours, Oxycodone (every 6hrs), domperidone 4times a day, iron pills, vitC,VitD, and stool softerner. I had so much stuff while in the hospital but this will do;-)

Anyway c section went really well, we got to the hospital at 9:30 they rolled me into the or at 12:00 and the baby is born around 2 (the surgery didnt take that long just the prep and stuff taking forever) it was my first time having a spinal injection done (with Lidocaine) Ive gotta tell you its feel pretty weird and amazing at thr same time. I kept telling my ob that I still feel it, he said wait 5 mins and you wont even be able to think about moving your feet. And yes he was totally right 😂😂 i didntt feel pain this time except pressure when he pulled the baby out. I asked my husband to film the vdo for me it was the best thing ever. Everyone thinks im crazy I wanna see the surgery vdo (i guess im a psycho lol)

Its been 4 days since he was born and 2nd day at home all by ourself. Babya nursing and latching really well except hes been sleeping pretty much all day and all night. The oxycodone leaks through breast milk, so my plan is to just pump and throw away. Feel so bad throwing the Colostrum away Though. Oh and im now officially a hippo ;-( postpartum swollen is so real ;-( and this Carpel Tunnel is still here ;-( i wish I could just pop thr skin and drain all the liquid out LOL SORRY TMI i know.

Hi all,

Congratulations on all the babies! So glad to read all your stories, and sorry to be late to share mine.

My little man was born on the 18th after a bit of a harrowing experience of about 50 hours of waiting, labour and finally a C-section. We went from me laughing excitedly at my water breaking on Tue at noon to what hubby describes as a murder scene by Thu afternoon. In the end, we got the full birthing experience, including everything we could have possibly experienced (less the final traditional exit), ha!

Spent an extended time in the hospital too due to bilirubin, had to give him formula to meet food quotas and then struggled to get back to breastfeeding... was delirious with C-section pain, lack of sleep + worry, and just generally being a complete emotional basket case. Nothing and everything I expected.

It took me about 48 hours to get there, but I didn't know love had such dimensions, it's beyond any boundary I could picture. Feeling so incredibly lucky ...and yet, weirdly I don't identify being a mom, but rather I'm taking care of this little person I love.

Wishing you all amazing beginnings with your babes + thank you for sharing your journey.
