Misskika do you know how much the lovenox injections are? My RE prescribed fragmin and when I asked the pharmacy they said a box is like $1000! I have pretty good drug coverage but still thats so expensive

Missikaka007 - the estrogen causes fatigue and weird dreams too. I've started planning on taking the pills when it is less inconvenient for me to feel bad. I hope the progesterone will even me out. Men feel great on testosterone, it's so unfair estrogen makes us feel like crap. :o

Nbee for some reason they can get away with charging extremely high prices for injectable drugs. People who go abroad pay like 1/3. If it makes you feel any better the US is even worse

Nbee- I'm not sure because our insurance (SunLife) covered it in full so I didn't bother looking at the receipt, perhaps give Shoppers a call? Hopefully your insurance takes care of most of it!

Cotton- I hope the prog helps too- it's really helping me, feel like normal again though the weird dreams on prog are even more messed up than the ones on estrogen!

Piano - It depends on the clinic. My clinic does a number rating. From what I've read very good looking embryos have a 50-50 chance of resulting in a baby while the uglier ones are more like 25% chance.

Hi everyone, I had my second lining check this morning and everything looks good for transfer so it was booked for next Monday the 7th. This has felt like a very long cycle so I can hardly believe it is here. I have a few things booked this week including pre and post acupuncture, a massage, and also a float session.  I will be saving season 4 of Outlander for the 2WW (well,12 days I guess) plus I am heading out of town for Thanksgiving which will help. Also thinking work might be busy which is good (distraction) and bad (I'm around babies a lot). Anyway, sending sticky vibes to all of you!

Thread hoping looking for some perspectives as I slowly go insane during my 2WW following a day 3 fresh transfer. Currently 7dp3dt. Naturally I am going against all reason and doing some serious symptom spotting and Im just wondering if anyone had horrible insomnia and (TMI) crazy watery like gushing water discharge from just the progesterone and it ended up being nothing? I remember having insomnia last time I was on progesterone but I also ended up being pregnant so hard to say if it was the progesterone or pregnancy. I dont remember ever having this crazy watery discharge except way later in my pregnancy last time. I would love some insight!

Welcome, SingleMama! Wishing you tons of success with your transfer!

Oakville- I am having insomnia and gushing discharge (maybe from the suppositories) and have not yet transferred, so it could be chalked up to progesterone. These symptoms noticeably started once I started the prog too! But prog and preg symptoms are pretty much the same. Sending over tons of patience!! :)

Hi there, I havent been here in a while, and was in the 2019 FET group previously. Ive been on estrace for what seems like forever (and I agree, it causes awful fatigue and nausea) - taking 6 mg/day; and started progesterone suppositories/pio on Friday after what I was told was a perfect lining check. These shots are something else! I get so sore the following day! I am finding that my nausea has gone down since the progesterone though! Now Im just moody! 😜. Hoping its worth it as we are finally transferring today!

It doesnt feel real anymore. Following 2 years of failed iui/ivf, it was a full year ago that my cousin offered to donate her eggs, and since then there have been endless delays including surgery to remove an ovary and tube. To top things off, my husband had a bad accident just after my original transfer date in July (which got cancelled since I ovulated), and we werent even sure wed be able to proceed after his injuries and inability to work. But we decided to take the risk and go with it, Im so hopeful this can be our long-awaited good news for the year! We havent told any family what were doing (aside from my donor obviously) and a year-long secret has been awful to keep!

Good luck to everyone here! I look forward to hearing your stories and sharing experiences as we all move forward. Bring on this dreaded 2ww!

CanadaMommy2 - Wow, that is an amazing lining for day 3! My lining usually isnt over 4mm at that time, I was super surprised to see it at 8mm this month.

Argh, already having FET related dreams. I dreamt that I had started testing at home and was getting positives but the line was getting lighter. Not looking forward to the TWW.

Wow, there's alot of activity going on here!

Had my second lining check. I forgot what cycle date I'm on and everyone kept asking. lol My doctor said my lining is really good, gave me a range of 5 possible transfer dates. I picked the earliest Monday the 7th because I want to get this over with and my periods have been alternating between short and long, so I'm worried I'll ovulate prematurely (I don't even know if that's an issue with a medicated cycle). My clinic is heavy on the meds, they have me on 12mg of estrogen daily, baby aspirin and topping me off with a steroid and they want me on progesterone until 12 weeks. I think in the future we will try natural cycle FETs, even if that means missing months due to ovulation. They said we'll end up paying $1500 for meds if we get a BFP

Singlemamatobe - we're transferring on the same day

Crc7 - we had a year of delays too, so I can empathize

Thread hoping again! Ive never done a FET and Im wondering whether anyone knows if its better to wait a few months after IVF before doing one or if its fine to just jump right into a FET? If our fresh transfer didnt take we have one frosty left and I want to give myself the best possible chance of success. Thanks!

Pandora89 - thanks hun. I was surprised too. Its usually around 4ish at cd3 most of the time. I guess things are heading into the right direction ;-)

Cotton - I believe with Medicated FET you wont be ovulating at all. I think the meds is somewhat slow or stop the follicle on growing so you wont ovulate. And the af shouldnt come until you stop the progesterone ;-)

OakvilleMama - I think there is no study showing that we should wait or shouldnt wait between cycle before another transfer ;-) so it is totally up to your call. If you do the full IVF though, I would wait at least 1 full cycle so the body can kinda relax and go back to its calm state ;-) I remember my cycle was kinda wonky a cycle of 2 after the retrieval. We couldnt do fresh because I developed OHSS ;-(

AFM - started Letrozole today and here come the headache as expected ;-(

Canadamommy2 is right Cotton, you shouldnt ovulate on a medicated cycle. The estrace SHOULD be enough to suppress ovulation. However, for my last cycle I ovulated still so my transfer was cancelled. To fix that I was given lupron on cd21, then started estrace on my next day 1. Oakvillemama - For myself, if todays transfer is uncuccessful (which isnt an option in my mind 😀), Im able to start again the following month, but because of the lupron, it ends up being a 2 month process.

Sounds like some everyones getting some great lining results! Fingers crossed for everyone! Picking up more meds for myself now before going home for some post-transfer rest!

Crc7 - how did they know you ovulated early?

Oakvillemama - I think that wait is beneficial if your estrogen was high when your eggs were retrieved. I have heard some clinics wait two AFs. On the other hand, once you've passed the age 35 mark your risk of complications in the pregnancy go up

Cotton, I had bloodwork done for my first lining check which showed I ovulated. When I started the next cycle with lupron AND estrace, I didnt have bloodwork.

Im finding the pio shots worse the following day. Some tips Ive been given:
- rotate injection site
- Ice the area prior to, and use heat and massage after
- make sure the muscle you are injecting into is as relaxed as possible.

I know, 11 weeks is a long time. Im super sore after 1 week of shots, Im hoping we build immunity to the soreness!

I had my transfer yesterday just before noon. By 4pm I was utterly exhausted. I dont remember being so tired my last transfer. Im hoping this is a good thing :)

Cric7 - that makes me feel better. I've cleared two lining checks and the doctor made it sound like the progesterone forces your lining to be where they want it to be, so I should be out of the woods for premature ovulation

The PIO shot I gave myself doesn't hurt at all so hopefully the nurse just gave it in a bad spot.

Good luck with the embryo. When are you gonna test?

Hi everyone!  I'm new here and wanted to join in.  I just found out today that my 2 fresh transfer didn't work :( So I'm waiting for my day 1 and will do another transfer in October.  2 frozen this time.  It's our 2nd cycle.  The first one we had one failed fresh transfer and the second was a chemical.  I would love to offer and receive support for  the month...I'm feeling pretty alone and down but am picking myself back up :)

Hi ladies with PIO shot issues! I've gotten into the habit of taking a nice warm shower after my morning injection and it seems to be doing the trick, but man are the bruises ugly. Hope you are all doing well- remember it's all for a much greater good! :)

Welcome Bohgirl! So sorry to hear you are disheartened. Here is to hoping your body likes FET :)

I transferred today! The clinic used assisted hatching on the little one and said it looked good. I had acupuncture before/after and slept the whole afternoon. I was surprised how much it didn't feel like anything (but perhaps was too distracted by the need to pee!) Here is to hoping this little one wants to stay.

Welcome Bohgirl, sorry your last transfer didnt work but FX this is the one for you.

AFM, nothing much, just chugging along. Transfer is this Sunday, I booked acupuncture for before and after. Probably overkill but I booked Monday off as well. I have a lot of days still to use and I am trying to replicate our success cycle as much as possible (Friday transfer with the weekend off where I lounged and did absolutely nothing).
