For a number of reasons, I have had to put off doing my next FET. So I have been researching some of the suggestions of how to increase the chances of conceiving naturally. Therefore I have been doing the ovulation tests, and eating pineapple core and drinking more water etc. Soooo, now I am in the 2WW, but I don't really fit into the category of the IVFers. Just wondering if anyone else is waiting to find out if the old fashioned way (you know, SEX) has worked?

Still hoping it may happen, bec my cause is the infamous "unexplained". So I guess there is always that slight possibility.

Good luck Nitzerette. I am also in the old fashioned 2WW. Just taking some time to consult with new doctors before we try IVF again so, thought it couldn't hurt to try on our own. I hold little faith that it will actually work but ???? Our diagnosis is unexplained also so who knows !!

Hi Gals -
Yep, I'm in the old fashioned tww as well! We were supposed to be cycling this month, but didn't make it off our clinic waiting list. We've been promised that the next cycle is IT. DH and I had fun (despite the disappointment) with a last ditch effort to conceive naturally.
Unfortunately, I didn't turn my fertility monitor (which I swear by) on this month, so we looked for other clues as to my "peak" time. I had a HUGE temp dip this morning (from 36.8 degrees celsius yesterday to 36.2 this morning), but I have long ago dismissed the validity of the implantation dip claims.
Good luck to you - and keep us informed!

Hi. Good luck Eco and Spring. We can only hope that we beat the odds.
Eco, I agree with the person in the other thread that said you should go with your gut instinct, and if you think that other health issues need to be looked at then definately find someone who will.
Spring, what is a 'fertility monitor'??? Never heard of that. I have been using these test strips that work sort of like a pregnancy test.
I have been trying to get lots of sleep and stay relaxed this time round, but I was upset again yesterday (so-called friends - sheesh!)- I don't think that helps. I wonder if I should try to get an earlier accupuncture appointment, which seems to help me 'chill' - mine is on Thur. We are going on a BIG trip at the end of the week (back to Canada for starters) so I won't be having accup for quite awhile.
So I am only about 5 days past ovulation. Fingers crossed.
Let me know how you are going.

Hi there, Nizerette -

The fertility monitor that I am referrring to is basically a higher-tech version of the ovulation predictor sticks that you have been peeing on; it gives you a larger window of your fertility and is said to be the most accurate system of predicting ovulation. Here is the link, if you are interested -

Fertility Monitor

You can buy them brand new off EBay for cheaper than the stores. I swear by mine because (even though I haven't fallen pregnant yet) it has been super accurate about my ovulation!

Well, temps went back up this morning to 36.5, so we will have to see, won't we?

Enjoy your day! :flowers:

For some reason that link just sent me to an IVF.ca board message "error returned" page?

The last couple of days I have had little twinges in my stomach, like the onset of period pain, but it is way too early for that. I want to do a HPT test already which would show nothing. I am being really silly to hold out hope for this cycle, but it is just that I have been trying all these new things, like the accupuncture and the essences. This TTC business makes you crazy!!!

I can't remember all the temp stuff, cuz I did that for months way back when, but never really found it all that useful. Doesn't it take a small dip then when it shoots up is when you are ovulating?
