I was thinking of doing Panorama. But I really haven't looked into the two tests to know the difference. I really only want to do the test to find out the gender early on.
KC - Harmony and Panorama are (someone correct me if I am wrong) blood tests that test for the likelihood of conditions or abnormalities such as Trisomy 21 and a few others and they can tell you the gender. I believe you can do Panorama at 9 weeks and Harmony at 10 weeks.
I want to look into both to see if there is much difference.

My doctor never mentioned the Panorama test. Maybe it's not an option in our province. I am going to look into it. I know with the harmony test its not covered so we are going to have to pay around $550. My husband said what's another $500 on this million dollar baby lol.
My doctor mentioned that because us IVF ladies have a ton more hormones going on because of our meds that a lot of the other test out there come back with false positives. But harmony does not.
I am excited you can find out the sex of the baby so early with it though finally a break for us! I feel like this whole process is all about waiting and this is the one thing I wont have to wait so long for haha.

well this is where I leave you. Had my first scan today and instead of a gestational sac they just saw blood clots and my beta went from 8200 down to 1039. Wishing everyone all the best for healthy happy pregnancies.

I am so sorry DQC!! My stomach hearts to read your post. It is somehow so final. One thought I want to give you - I read of a study that 3 years after finishing the IVF journey couples without children are equally happy as couples with children. It will be tough but if you read, talk and process the sadness you now have, you will get over it and you will find meaning and colors in life again. All the best for you.
Thanks, Zumzum! I hope we end up equally happy as those couples in the study. My DH for sure will, he is already content with our only son. Fortunately, we are not childless...
BTW, the Misoprostol I was prescribed at the hospital didn't work. I took the first dosis last Thursday and the second on Friday, nothing happened! I'm living my life with a dead foetus inside me, what about that? Not sure of what to expect now. Will go to the hospital on Wednesday and we'll see. I guess they'll make me try again or directly to D&C... This limbo is killing me!

Pleasebaby - I'm right there with you, I didn't even know how far behind I was for almost a whole day as the doctor that did my scan didn't give me any information at all!! I was having panic attacks all day until I finally remembered the online portal and was able to log in and see the measurements.
He hadn't even told me the heart rate. I'm still mad at him, I'm glad he's not my regular doctor. But during my panic stricken online searches I found that it's within reason for them to measure +/- up to 5 days at this stage, so being 4 days behind doesn't mean the end of the world, we just have to keep on thinking positive and staying busy to distract from the worrying I think.

We had our first ultrasound yesterday and all went well. At my clinic I don't get to see anything on the screen while they are doing they ultrasound and I was very anxious, I cried through the whole thing. When it was over the technician told me to go and get DH and bring him in. Then she played a video she took for us so we can see the heartbeat. I melted and cried some more but this time for happier reasons.
Everything looks good which is a huge relief. I am measuring one day behind at 7w1d and the heart rate they said was 157 to 159 which I think is good as well.
My second ultrasound is now scheduled for June 25th. I can't wait for that one and glad we don't have to wait as long.

Balance - Congrats! That's awesome my ultra sound was pretty much the same, measuring a day behind and same heart beat! Your lucky you only have to wait 2 weeks mine is 3 weeks (june 27)and its killing me counting down the days lol.
Firsttimeivfer - congrats! Hope your next ultra sound goes great! don't be afraid to ask lots of questions. they should tell you the measurements and what's going on.
Baby-M - I am sooooo bloated all the time too! I don't know what it is but its almost uncomfortable at times.

My RE doesn't offer a lot of info and isn't very transparent...when I asked him how I was measuring, he just said "fine."
I took a picture of my chart when he wasn't in the room though, and it says CRL/CPD (mm) 5.5 and yolk sac (mm) is 2.7. I was 6d2w at the time.
