Mamasita - I didnt have a minute of nausea when I was pregnant with my daughter, so its possible! I was shocked that I felt so great (once the ohss went away)! Every pregnancy is different though so Im not sure Ill get that lucky this time around.

All of you seem to have ultrasounds at 7 weeks. Is my clinic the only one who waits until 8 weeks? I know its only the difference of a week, but it feels like so much longer! Im driving myself crazy having no symptoms and wondering what could happen in the weeks between my beta and ultrasound.

So Im joining the bleeding club now too.. just went to the bathroom and had some bright red blood, not a whole lot at this point but its definitely scary to see. I didnt have this in my last pregnancy so I dont know what to think. I left a message with my clinic so waiting to hear back. Its really early for me so I dont even think an ultrasound would show much but Im feeling pretty defeated.

Eatpraylove- sorry that you have to deal with a bleed as well. It's pretty scary I know. As long as it doesn't continue, I think you'll be fine.

Eatpray we've all bled. If it's stopped by morning don't even worry about it. Sounds like you're not getting much. I almost filled a pad. I didn't bleed with my last either but I did with my first. So common. Try to not worry.

Im 5 weeks 4 days today. My clinic called back and said what I expected them to say. Theres nothing I can do but wait and hope it stops, and they didnt offer to move up my ultrasound date so I guess Im waiting until 8 weeks to see if everything is okay. The bleeding has slowed but it hasnt stopped yet, so just praying. I know tons of women have been through this and that it isnt always bad, but its really hard to go through. Hoping all of you are doing well and having a great weekend!

You can always ask for an hcg beta from your doctor for piece of mind. That's what my clinic told me to do.

If u do get a hcg blood test off ur doctor remember to get two. I then take within 3 days apart so u know it's increasing. If it really worried I would get a privAte scan from 6 weeks. We did and best thing we did

eatpraylove - hope you're doing ok and the bleeding has stopped! Has your clinic offered another beta test?

EmIVF - Yeah I get the high risk label :(. I have a chronic health condition, and take a number of medications for that. Because of the meds, I have to be monitored carefully as to how my body is responding to pregnancy hormones.

How's everyone else doing??

AFM: I was able to get my first trimester blood work and ultrasound booked, towards the end of May. Glad to have it all finalized though!

Hi all! I feel like I've been a bit absent! Welcome to all the new and familiar faces! I'm sorry to hear that so many of us are dealing with the bleeding issue. I had spotting and cramping for about a week, and things seem to have settled down now. Hopefully that's the case for everyone else too! I honestly sometimes forget that I'm pregnant because I'm not having very many symptoms at all. I do feel tired (although I feel better than I did a couple weeks ago), my boobs seem a bit bigger, and I the occasional wave of nausea if I let myself get too hungry, but most of the time, I feel pretty normal. I can't wait until my next ultrasound to confirm that things are progressing as they should!!

Keiki - on that note, did you need your requisition to make the appointment for the first trimester screening? I'm not seeing my midwife until the 17th to get the requisition and I'll already be 11 weeks then. I would love to book my appointment for the ultrasound and bloodwork now so I don't have to wait to long for the appointment.

outofnowhere - can you call your midwife or family doctor for a referral? My family doctor gave me mine, and it took a few tries on dates to get something that worked with their schedule and my schedule. I'm booked for May 25, so I'll be 11.5 weeks ish. The lady I talked to said they've been busy, as there's only 3 clinics in the city that do the maternity ultrasounds. Good luck!

Well I'm kind of jealous. I've been feeling sick since my bleed at 5 weeks. It's totally manageable but it's leaving me feeling icky all day now but progessively worse as the day goes on. I just constantly feel hungry with a headache and nothing sounds good. If I smell or even think of something gross, it makes my stomach turn. I didn't feel anything until 6 weeks with both of my pregnancies but it's interesting, My hpt was already pos at 5dp5dt and my first beta was high, so I think I this baby just had an early start or something! Still can't wait for that US next week.

I'm also bloated and gassy and I blame the drugs. I've gained like 4 pounds since April :(  It's been really hard making it to the gym now too that I feel sick and tired.

outofnowhere - you should be fine to book once you get your reqs from your midwives, but you should be able to contact your clinic and pick up the req's from them earlier if you'd like. I actually work at a midwifery clinic, I don't think I've mentioned that on here before haha.

Nicky947 - Unfortunately I don't live in an area where I can get private bloodwork or private scans. I'd probably take advantage of that if it were an option. Maybe in larger provinces they do that, I'm not sure.

Keiki - Glad you were able to book your ultrasound and bloodwork!

outofnowhere - Glad to see you on here again, and happy things are going well for you! I haven't been having any real symptoms until this weekend when the bleeding and cramping started. I keep waiting for nausea and my boobs to get bigger, but nothing yet.

EmIVF - Sorry you're feeling gross, but yay those are good signs! Hopefully you don't have to deal with the nausea for too long. I'm jealous you have a scan next week!

AFM - Bleeding has slowed but I'm still crampy and today my lower back has been hurting quite bad. I called my clinic again and they just said it was normal etc and keep taking my meds and wait for my 8 week scan. I had to ask for another beta because they didn't offer it, but they sent me a requisition and I'm going tomorrow morning to get that done. I also see my family doctor Wednesday for the first time since we started the FET process. I have to say, I'm very nervous for this beta after what's been happening the past couple days.

hi all.

i am new here!

i had my retrieval in nov. my first FET in late Feb, which was unsuccessful.  second FET in early April and now BFP! ultrasound is may 4th.

i cant quite explain how nervous i am!

i have had minimal symptoms.  i am approx 6w 3 days.   i had some left side cramping (dull.. and not persistent) a few days ago and yesterday. today i feel fine - maybe more hungry and peeing more often.

does everyone always feel this anxious. i try not to google.. cause of course, all i see is 'ectopic' and 'SCH'. ugh!!!
friday can not come soon enough.

p.s. congrats to you all. im so glad to have found this string!

Welcome hopefulmama and congrats on your BFP!! I also havent had too many symptoms, and am right there with you on the anxiety front. Every step of this process is difficult and feels like a waiting game to get to the next blood draw or scan! This is a great place to talk to others who are in the same boat as you!

AFM - I had my second beta this morning and the clinic just called with the results... 8096! It was 1595 on April 25th so Im thrilled about the increase and hoping that means the bleeding and cramping arent affecting anything negatively! It feels like a long 2 weeks until my first ultrasound, so this definitely helps get me through :)

hopefulmama555 - Welcome! Congrats on your BFP :). I can completely understand the anxiety of this whole process. I'm right there with you! I also haven't had much for symptoms, so my next ultrasound can't come soon enough.

Hi everyone - I have been trying not to be too stressed and I went for a little run with a friend before my 10am ultrasound this morning and was feeling pretty good. After the run she asked me if I was nervous and it hit me like a ton of bricks and I felt sick to my stomach, I started thinking too much and felt like the ultrasound was going to be bad news, I was having dread entering the clinic. Then my husband asked if I was ok while we were in the waiting room and tears just started leaking out, I had to go have a bit of a cry in the bathroom. Then we finally had the ultrasound and there was a heartbeat, I just lost it and started crying and gasping for breath - dr was so confused, he was like happy tears...? I leaked tears for at least 2 hours after and dont even remember what the heartbeat sounded like now but I am so happy and of course still anxious and nervous waiting for next ultrasound and genetic testing - but this is an amazing start, we havent made it this far yet so I am so grateful.

IVF - anxiety and waiting ugh.

Symptoms- my gas and terrible bloating at night have mostly gone away. No morning sickness though at times I wonder if I am feeling a bit nauseous from the car or heat or empty stomach or if its actually from pregnancy. Emotions.....hahah. See above. Some crampy feelings on left side sometimes, thats weird other people here are having that too! Definitely peeing more but also drinking more water soooo...And of course sore bigger boobs but that would be from all the estrogen and progesterone I am taking anyway. The only other symptom is maybe a bit more tired at times and maybe a little sore back. Hard to say if thats coincidence or pregnancy. Overall feeling good. So so glad the first ultrasound is over and it was good news after the bad news we had last year with our only other positive pregnancy result. Its a big milestone for us.
