Hi all! I thought I'd start a thread for those of us due in December.

A bit about me. I'm married with a 2 year old IVF baby, and I'm due December 6th. We have a genetic condition, so we did IVF with PGD. We've done 2 full cycles of IVF, and sent 13 embryos for testing. Overall, we got 6 normal embryos from our 2 cycles. Our first transfer resulted in our daughter, and we had a chemical pregnancy in September. This pregnancy was as a result of our third transfer, and we couldn't be more thrilled! We had our 7 week ultrasound today, and baby is measuring right on track.

Looking forward to sharing the journey with you all!

Congratulations to you! Must be a huge relief! I have my ultrasound next week and I am super worried as I dont have too many symptons. Few days ago I had breast tenderness and mild cramping..That went away and so I am worried about not having symptoms. Fingers crossed for next week.

Hello!

Outofnowhere- Congrats again!

Rayna2018-  Congrats to you too!

AFM-  I am in the same boat as Rayna2018  other than sore breasts I don't feel much of anything.  I am currently 6w and 1 day and my first ultrasound is scheduled for 4/27. I would like reassurance that something is happening in there :)

When is everyone's due date?  My due date is 12/12/18preggo.gif

Hello everyone! This was my 2nd IVF cycle and 2nd FET that I finally got my BFP!

This is my 1st pregnancy so I have no idea what to expect. Hopefully some of you have some experience or can be clueless together with me! Lol

First question is, when did everyone have(will have) their 1st u/s? What do they do exactly? Internal/external u/s? At clinic or hospital?

My 1st u/s is scheduled May 3rd, which will be when I'm 7wks. My DD is Dec.21st.

I would love to be the one to keep a list of due dates...and maybe u/s dates? I love lists! 😊

Mamasita204 - my first ultrasound is Monday, and it cant come quick enough! They do both an internal and external ultrasound, and its done at a regular ultrasound clinic.

AFM: the nausea has finally kicked in :(. I had morning sickness my whole pregnancy with DS, and this is right at the same point in pregnancy it happened last time. Yuck!

How many weeks will you be then?
My first u/s is at the u/s & imaging dept. at a hospital in my city. My IVF clinic is in another province, so I'm not getting u/s through my IVF clinic.

I only had 2 beta tests. Do they usually do a beta blood test on the same day of the first u/s?

Sorry about the nausea Keiki.😕 Hopefully it wont be bad.

Keiki try sea bands! I have had really bad nausea since 5days post 5 day transfer.

Was so bad I even lost 4 pounds. The sea bands really help take the edge off.

Does anyone know about the pre-screening tests - SIPS and NIPT? I got letter from my RE to let me know about them and get info. from my GP about it. Have any of you done them before? Or the amniocentesis?

Mamasita204 - I have never done any of the tests, are you thinking about it?

Nicky947 - OMG! Twins! Congrats! How many embryos did you transfer?

AFM: I am feeling sooooo much less stressed! I had my ultrasound today, and the little bean was right on track at 7w1d, and the heartbeat was 141. The tech was able to confirm the subchorionic hematoma, so they will monitor that. Hopefully it heals soon, I'm sick of the spotting.

Keiki- So glad to hear your u/s went well! I don't know if I'll do the prescreening tests. I guess after my first scan, I'll ask my RE or GP what they think.

Nicky947- I guess now we know why you started getting nausea so early on...TWINS! Congrats! You'll probably be due in November now.

rayna2018- good luck with your u/s appt. Tomorrow!

Has anyone told others about the pregnancy yet? (Parents, siblings, friends) or are you waiting to a certain part before sharing. I'm planning on telling my parents soon, but waiting to tell most others until 12 weeks.

Hi everyone! Congratulations to us all for making it this far:) Exciting!

This is my second round of IVF. In the past I have done 1 fresh transfer of 2 embryos which was negative, and this is my 4th FET. It is our last embryo so if it doesn't work out we will be trying a 3rd round of IVF.

I have my first U/S May 1st which will be about 6 weeks and 2 or 3 days. I am so so nervous for it. The only time in my life I have ever had a positive pregnancy test was with our 2nd FET around this time last year and at the 6 week ultrasound there was a small fetal pole and no heartbeat so I was advised to stop taking my medication and had a miscarriage at that time. So I am praying that there is a heartbeat at this ultrasound, I will be so thrilled if so! I ended up taking the last 3 weeks off work to help reduce stress as my job is completely not understanding about taking any time off for IVF appointments and I feel stressed every day that I am in there (manager of a pharmacy) so maybe this has helped with the positive result? Who knows but I definitely don't regret taking the time for myself to feel more happy, balanced and take care of myself to have a more positive environment for this little bean to hopefully grow!

My due date is Dec 20th if this all works out!

Symptoms: I don't really have any except for tender/bigger boobs but that always happens with the progesterone and estrogen I am on for every cycle I have done. The only thing that has been different this time is bloating at night and terrible feelings of gas and rumbling almost every night! No nausea yet though (although I have a pretty strong stomach normally so I wouldn't be surprised if I don't get it - but I would take it if it means I am pregnant of course!)

@ Keiki - Congrats on your ultrasound results! I will definitely be getting all the genetic testing done as we didn't do any CCS testing on our embryos cause we only got 2 eggs last round and 3 good ones this round so we didn't feel like it was worth it. For my miscarriage last time the baby ended up having 2 fatal trisomies. I am so grateful to be pregnant again but really nervous.

@ Mamasita204 - I told my mom and dad (I didn't tell them we were doing IVF until this past October before we did our second round) and my in-laws, sister and BFF. I won't be telling anyone else until after 12 weeks and all the tests.

@Nicky947 - TWINS! I am so excited for you. Thats what I wanted so badly and we did our last 2 transfers (1 fresh, 1 FET) and put 2 in each time with BFN each time. This was our last embryo to try and I was really sad that we probably won't have twins but will still be ecstatic if this works this one time and we just have the one. But I am so happy for you:) What a blessing!

Mamasita204 - Well let me know what you decide! I did look into the Harmony test, but it's pricey in Alberta. I've heard it's covered in some provinces. The only people that know about my pregnancy is my DH and my best friend. She only knows because she was my witness for all my release forms. So I've kept her in the loop. I will likely tell my family around 14/15 weeks, then tell friends, and I don't plan to tell anyone at my work for as long as I can hold off, for personal reasons.

eastvangirl - welcome and congrats!

AFM: I have a doctors appointment tomorrow with my family doctor to officially be referred to a maternity clinic. About time! I'm hoping to ask for Diclectin, as my nausea still comes and goes.

We have just told parents and siblings. Won't tell anyone else till 12/13 weeks pregnant. We told them because is anything happens they will know anyway. My sister kept asking me to baby sit get 2 .. No way im doing that esp as I'm very high risk (don't clot properly so on aspirin and injecting fragmin)

Hi ladies, happy to join and see you all in here! I hope everything remains healthy for all of us!

Received my beta today of 2706. I've never had a beta number before but now I realize that seems a bit high for 14dp5dt. I hope it's a good thing! My first US is May 10th, and my due date is Dec 27th. Worst. Birthday. Ever. lol sorry kid.

Funny story, this would put all of my kids at the end of the winter months...dec, jan and feb.

Hi EMIVF...welcome to this group!

You know what..Dec 27th is not the worst birthday...Jan 3rd (which is my birthday is the worst):)))

Folks are done partying and back to to their lives and eating healthy after jan 1st so no one is in a mood to party/celebrate...

So I would still take dec over jan :)))
