Congrats on the boy and the good nuchal scan Writegal!! Enjoy announcing to your friends!! So exciting!

Thanks! Did your doctor say that they'll call you once the tests are in? You can also find out if the doctor has them by calling Dynacare (assuming that's where you had it done).

Morning!
Hope everyone had a great weekend!
writegal - happy to hear that everything has come back looking good so far. Have fun sharing the news!
C_J - Thinking of you as you wait for results!
Vennela - Glad your appointment went well!
AFM - My appointment went well! My doctor has a little handheld ultrasound machine so I got to see that baby flailing around again. So cute! Heartrate was around 160bpm. We have decided not to proceed with the harmony blood work or nuchal ultrasound. At the end of the day it won't change anything for us . I have a 16 week appointment booked for June 11.

Have people started thinking of names? We had a few picked out a long time ago (when we were considering adoption), but we will make a final decision much closer to the due date. I *WILL* need help from my family for a heritage-specific name as I cannot read/write Chinese (goodness, this little guy may have more names than the British Royal Family!).

Writegal416 - My husband and I have had our girl name picked for a very long time, long before we were even thinking about starting a family. I read it in a book and fell in love! In the last couple of years we have settled on a boy name that reflects both sides of our family. Is there certain rules you have to follow for a traditional Chinese name?
Victoria0214 - Welcome to the board and congratulations on your twins! Was this your first FET? We won't be finding out the gender of our baby, we want the surprise!!
Vennela - Sorry to hear that your SCH is still present. Did they say how big it is?? Are you still experiencing bleeding/spotting?

Writegal - after baby`s birth we do naming cermony of da baby, a holy fire is lit up, A 'homam` z performed to please all da gods & then a letter from sanskrit alphabets z selected based on baby's rashi or moon sign. The baby's name should begin with this sacred letter, so that his/ her life can be auspicious..
Victoria - welcome board.. congratulations on twins!!!!

I have no idea about Chinese naming traditions! All I know is that in most families, siblings all share part of a name. For example, if one child is Ming Yuet (I'm just making up names here. My grasp of how to properly name someone without it sounding like he or she has super-trendy hipster parents just trying to be "cool" is pretty much non-existent. This name would mean "Brilliant Moon," I believe), then another would be Ming something else. Double names like my REAL Chinese name is rare - usually a double name (e.g. Ting Ting) is a nickname. That's why I'll need my parents' help. Also, my DH and I are interfaith (he's Jewish, I was baptized Catholic), so our plan is to take one name from the Hebrew Scriptures and another would be a saint's name. So yes, Hebrescripturesname Saintname Chinesename Lastname...pretty long!!!

Her going off makes me a little nervous, but I seriously have to stay away from Dr. Google.....13 weeks, 4 days is probably longer than many people. I *HAVE* heard of women staying on until week 16, though.
