Hello - I had a 5d blast transfer on Feb 25th. As amazing as it has been to finally get a positive hcg result, it has been pretty stressful watching the beta numbers. I know everything says that you cant read too much into the numbers as long as theyre doubling but I just feel so worried that things arent going the way they are supposed to. I have read every chart and done every hcg calculator possible. I was on ectopic watch at one point, now Im just not sure what is going on.

Technically I am 6 weeks pregnant today. Here are my beta results:

8dp5dt - 28
10dp5dt - 68
12dp5dt - 125
16dp5dt - 154
18dp5dt - 423
21dp5dt - 1548
23dp5dt - 2334

I went for an US on 22dp5dt (or 5w6d) - they saw a very small gestational sac in the uterus (3.1) but couldnt see a fetal pole or yolk and my numbers still seem so low. When they flagged me as likely ectopic (between the 125 and 154 betas) I resigned myself to this likely not being viable. Now I just dont know what to think. Any insights?
TTC 19 years, Unexplained but now I知 getting old, hex - 4 IUIs, 5 IVFs, 14 FETs, 1 miscarriage, cycled in Canada, Mexico, and Europe. Still holding out hope but much more jaded.

Hmmm, yourr betas more than doubled between 16dp and 18dp.  Perhaps the embryo implanted late?  Are you getting any symptoms?

Matched with Surrogate: April 2017, all adoption put on hold (never matched with a child)

Surrogate's First Transfer: July 2017 (one FET) - BFP, but m/c or chemical (unsure, since second beta rose more than 60%, but third beta dropped)

Surrogate's  Second Transfer: October 2017 (one FET) - BFN

Surrogate's Third Transfer: December 2017 (double transfer) - BFN

Moving on to donor eggs...

New donor embryos available!!! Trying with them

Surrogate's Fourth Transfer:  February 2018 - was to be a double transfer, but one did not survive thawing, so single transfer; First beta - 685!!!!!; Beta #2 - 1594!!!  eusa_dance.gif yahoo.gif

First ultrasound (at 7 weeks, 2 days): Heart rate of 154 bpm, measuring slightly behind (just under 7 weeks)

Second ultrasound (9 weeks, 1 day):  Heart rate of 170 bpm, measuring small (again) at a little under 9 weeks.  Basically, it is growing at a good pace, just small - UPDATE:  heart rate is 175 bpm according to an email from the clinic!

Harmony tests show that we are low risk and we're Team babyboy.gif

Most symptoms can be explained as side effects of the progesterone. I head for more bloodwork tomorrow and a repeat US next Tuesday.

Its so stressful, isnt it?! Im technically 7w from LMP - hcg has been rising but super slowly - was 3100 and 4 days later (29dp5dt) it was 6014. I went for an US today - gestational sac grew 4.5 mm to 7.5 in a week (which is slow growth as they like to see 1 mm per day) and they saw a yolk sac but no heartbeat or fetal pole. She measured me at 5w4d and I technically am 7w LMP. Back in another week or 2 for a follow up. Not sure whats happening - progress yes but so very slow. From what I read it may or may not be a viable pregnancy. More limbo land. Sheesh. At least Im still somewhat moving but it would be so nice to know.

Just an update - technically I am 8w from LMP - had an US and theres a heartbeat! Im measuring 6w4d so well see what happens. Betas up to 14000! I have my fingers crossed that it was just really late implantation... DH and I did BD around the time of ER (maybe even after?) so perhaps we even have a natural conception? Who knows - but were still moving in the right direction! Follow up US on 2 weeks.

Hi Jennykash,

Just wanted to see how everything is going with your pregnancy. I have slightly slower rising Hcg levels (went up only 68%) in 2 days and Im worried about this pregnancy. Hope everything is going well for you!

I'm in the same boat. At 14dp5dt I was at 418 then 16dpt I was 664 which is only about 60%. They want me to come in again at 18dpt to monitor it. Worst part is I started spotting at 14dpt and it hasn't gotten any better so I'm not feeling overly optimistic.

Unfortunately my situation did not end well and I miscarried at 9 weeks. It wasnt easy and I hope your outcome will be different. I am currently gearing up for ET on Tuesday so praying for some good news.
