Hello,

I have had three miscarriages in total. I am 30 years old and husband is 35. Which clinic/ doctor could you recommend for my situation?

Didi - welcome. Have your miscarriages been through natural pregnancies? Where are you located? Have you had any testing done?

Hello, yes all miscarriages were natural: 7.5 weeks, 4.5weeks, 6 weeks. I am located in Toronto and my ob gyn did blood testing which is all clear. I suppose a fertility specialist will do more extensive testing. I was hoping someone would give me recommendations for my situation based on their experience. My FSH is 5.7 and from my understand that is a good result. All miscarriages happened in less than a year.

Yes, all were natural pregnancies.

Didi2018 - first, I'm so sorry for your losses and I completely understand your pain. Your story sounds almost exactly like mine. I'm 30 and my DH is 35 now, although we started trying when I was 27 and DH was 32. I had 4 natural pregnancies/miscarriages within a year. I ended up going to the Markham Fertility Centre (highly recommend this clinic) and have been with them since my last miscarriage in 2016. You can see my bio for our story... They discovered I had a low ovarian reserve for my age, which often means poor egg quality and causes early miscarriages (due to chromosomal abnormalities). After more testing there, we learned I also have a thinner lining (although I always believed it can get thick enough to hold a pregnancy) and then immune issues (natural killer cells, low LADs, and some other things), which were all resolved with immune treatments at the clinic.

Very long, exhausting story short, I'm pregnant naturally for the fifth time right now after a failed transfer in October. We've never made it this far before in a pregnancy and, although it's still early, things are progressing perfectly and uneventfully so far. I say all this to tell you not to lose hope and ensure that you're taken care of in the best hands. I did a lot of research before deciding which clinic to go to (I'm also from Toronto) and I chose MFC because I knew a few girls with fertility issues who went there and all ended up with children, and they are one of the only clinics in the country that test/treat immune issues.

I wish you the best of luck!!! Please ask me any questions you may have as, unfortunately, I know too much about recurrent miscarriages.

Sorry, I should also mention that, at MFC, I'm with Dr. Meivys Garcia who is incredible. Her team is also amazing and have treated us so well since we started with them. Dr. Michael Virro is another reproductive endocrinologist who is also fantastic from everything I've heard/been told. He's been in the field since 1982.
