Hello everybody!

I'm just wondering how long it took to get your first appointment.  I was referred by my family Dr in March 2017 and have not heard anything from Heartland.  Is that normal?  Should I have received a letter by now?

Thanks for your input!!

Hi Chick-a-dee!

I was referred to Heartland way back in 2015 so I'm not sure what the wait times are like now but 9 months does seem like a long time!  Our wait ended up being 4 months.

I would suggest you contact Heartland just to make sure that they received your referral letter.  My family doctor had to fax over the referral request twice because Heartland didn't receive it the first time.  I received my letter with an appointment date about 2 weeks after the 2nd submission.

Good luck!  I hope you don't have to wait too much longer!

Looks like it took my doctor 3 months to get the letter to them and then they said from that date it's a 9 month wait..boo.
