Hi everyone,

Congrats on all the bfps!  Gosh, I thought the 2ww would be the hardest part but holy moly, trying not to analyze every little twinge, cramp, and pull is killing me!  I've been having some sharp pulls/pains in my lower right pelvic area for 4 days or so now.  They seem to be a bit better today but definitely not gone.  I had such bad cramps yesterday that I thought for sure I would be bleeding, but so far nothing (thank goodness!).  I don't remember being this worried when I was pregnant with my son.  My husband says that I had all sorts of pains and worries then too, but I don't believe him!  lol  Good for you Mamas for trying not to lift your littles - I didn't even realize that I shouldn't be lifting my little guy.  Whoops!

MamaCohn, my first u/s is also January 4.  Seems so far away!

JJ - how'd you make out today?

FMLA is a protection for persons who are needing time off regularly or for in spurts. It is protection you won't lose your job/position because of all of the time off. It's perfect for people going through any regular type of treatments or doctor appointments. It's also perfect for persons who need to care for a loved one going through similar. I took FMLA with my IVF so I wouldn't have issues taking a few weeks off.

Congrats to all! Mind if I join you ladies?

We had a FET on Nov. 20th with the only egg that managed to make it to freeze from our August cycle and I got my BFP on Nov. 24th. I'm 6w5d with a due date of Aug. 8th and was just released from my RE today after seeing our little "blob" and hearing his/her heartbeat (120 bpm). This was my second cycle; my first cycle was a fresh transfer that resulted in my 6 yo DS.

Hope everyone is feeling ok so far. I've been battling with MS since about 4 weeks now but it comes and goes. My next appointment with my OB is next week on 12/28 at 8w1d.

Hello Ladies:

Just joined the group. I am 12dp5dt. Had my first Beta yesterday it was 272. Having my second Beta tomorrow. Don't really know what to expect, just hoping there is a significant increase. Feeling nervous about it. Hubby and I had been trying to conceive for 2 years. Had four failed IUIs. This is first FET, and feel lucky that it has stuck so far. However, having random sharp pains in uterine/pelvic area today that are making me nervous. I am super irritable and have a stressful job, and I wonder sometimes if I am going to do myself harm in these early stages. The pains i was experiencing today is the reason I went on a search for a forum. Anyway, I feel a bit better at the moment just having written about my present nerves, I just wish I could not worry about every pinch and pull and tug i feel.

Hello KrysEve,

Tugging and pulling = uterus expanding and making room. If very sharp, probably slow down, sit down where you are for a bit and they will go away most likely. Of course, any concerns, call your nursing line. I just had to sit down myself which is why I am online! My tugging and pulling left me a bit breathless so am now sitting on the couch. Pre holiday dinner party here tomorrow night and was trying to get ready. It is what it is!

Your BETA is strong. I believe my first BETA for my now 2 year old was 74. I think anything over 25 means you are pregnant.

Go to bed early. Rest when you get home from work for a bit. Always try to lie on your left side (it is hard to do all night long but it is very beneficial according to my OBGYN). Grab a pillow and wedge yourself on the left. Deep restorative sleep I hope!

My first BETA for this pregnancy is dec 23.

I know how stressful it all is. And heartbreaking and disappointing.  I am 46. It took 7 years to have my first child successfully after 12 iui's, 6 ivf sessions, 2 donor egg sessions. Every kind of drug was used. Wouldn't change a thing. This time we are lucky so far, FET failed, but preg with first donor egg session this time. Which is great because it was all or nothing this time. By the time this one is born I will have been pregnant or trying to get pregnant for 10 years!

Best of luck with your next BETA. Enjoy the ride. You are doing everything you can.

Any ladies prescribed progesterone injectable to use through first trimester? I realized I had enough for 2 more days, went to refill, apparently there is a national shortage. I had to order from a compound pharmacy which did not take insurance! Hoping I can get reimbursed once I get the receipt.

P.S. the injections sites itch slightly, think that's normal?

Hi Marissa,

Yes I’m in progesterone injection and had the same problem as you. Me too Got it In the local pharmacy where insurance is not covered, but I’m not sure if we can get it reimbursed.

And yes it is itching and is completely normal.Have hot or cold water compression for 10 mins before you inject which is really helpful.

I got a light brown or pinkish discharge today early morning when I urinated and feeling really disturbed. But I did not feel like periods as it was not reddish. I’m very confused.Let me know if this is normal.

Today is my 16dp 5dt and my first Beta hcg after 12 dp 5dt was 384 and 14 dp 5 dt was 1587.

Pathtojoy - I have this super light pink brownish mucus spotting on and off since the implantation bleeding on 6dp5dt. Isnt it so annoying? Im having my 3rd beta done because of it just to make sure. I am sure its nothing serious but if you are concern, try calling your nurse to get another beta done just like me ;-)

MarissaF - when I had PIO done, it was really itchey and bruise too. Thanks goodness I dont have to do it again anymore. Try maybe cold compressed to get rid of the itcheyness?? Hot will make the swelling goes down though.

JJ1204 – like the others, I’m at a loss for words but just wanted to send good thoughts and well wishes your way.

Canadamommy2 – Thank you, we are incredibly blessed. My DH and I have been together for 18 years (we met very young) and had a long and heartbreaking TTC journey before going through IVF. But yes, it also helps that my RE is awesome and so meticulous with his work. I know that January 2nd must seem so far away but it’s just around the corner, so hang in there! I know that you’ll feel better once you hear that strong heartbeat! ;)

KrysEve – congrats and good luck with your second beta today. Like the others have said, pinching and pulling is usually a great sign of implantation. I didn’t experience it with my first pregnancy but I did with this one and it made me nervous too. The pinching and pulling went away for me after week 5, but there’s always something else to worry about with pregnancy. Hang in there!

MarissaF – I’m using the progesterone suppositories instead.

Khady that is an excellent number!

Glad I am not alone with the itchy injection sites. I will try icing to relieve it.

Pathjoy are you having period like cramping along with the light spotting? You have really good previous beta numbers, a follow up beta may help you feel reassured.

Hi ladies:

Thank you all for the words of encouragement and advice. Went for my second Beta today and anxiously awaiting the results.

AKO- I have my fingers crossed for your Beta on the 23rd- lots of baby dust to you. Also thanks for the tip about sleeping on left side, i had not heard of that and googled it, and now understand that it is to help blood flow to the placenta and baby.

Marissa and Pathjoy- I am on the progesterone injections. Have been doing them for over weeks now. Just learned today about the shortage of the Progesterone in sesame oil when i called for a refill. Is that what you are using that makes you itchy? I haven't had any side effects with the progesterone in sesame oi, but now have to switch to progesterone in olive oil due to shortage. It is apparently a thicker, wondering what effect that will have. Anyone use progesterone in olive oil?

Yeah it’s a good one Khady.Take care and stay safe.

Marissa,I too wish to have a beta hcg today but my nurse told me it’s completely normal unless it accompanies with bright red spotting and cramps.I don’t have cramps but backache started recently. If it still the same throughout today I might ask for a beta hcg tomorrow.
