I'm wondering the difference between Lupron and Suprefact, from what I've been told they are both GnRH agonists and do the same thing, it's just a difference in branding and the molecular structure of the compound. However I have two doctors saying different things. The surgeon who I consulted with (who is also a fertility specialist) about removing the endo says that with Endometriosis, I must go on Lupron for at least 3 months prior to an FET and it HAS to be lupron and not any other GnRH agonist and it HAS to be for 3 months. My fertility specialist disagreed and said that suprefact (I use the injectable kind) is the same thing as Lupron and has the same benefits and that 3 months is not necessary. Which is true? Which should I use? I've had one successful pregnancy being down regulated prior to FET right off the bat, now trying for #2. Both times I've had chemicals was from a natural cycle that was following a cancelled medicated cycle due to poor lining after down regulation. I don't know if I should do a natural cycle without any down regulation, or try again with the down regulation and if so what GnRH and for how long? My RE doesn't suggest down regulating and then going into a natural cycle as it would be too difficult to predict when I would start ovulating again.
Thanks so much for your input!
