NanaDeb - Welcome to the group, this will be a great forum to hear what others in similar situations are experiencing and you will be able to compare and contrast with your daughter, how exciting.
Guida - I also have not told any family yet and do not intend doing so until I am into 2nd trimester. For many reasons they will be shocked so I do not want all the drama to have started and then something to go wrong with the pregnancy. I have told two close friends so far and they have been my support before and during the IVF so far

PaulandPortia - great to see you again. I am loving your third beta of 15000 wow is all I can think to say. I think its great that you are doing this at 47 and hoping to have a sibling for your other child. I am 42 (I think I said 40 in another forum!!) but I am 42 and will be still 42 hopefully when my baby arrives in May. One of my concerns starting the whole IVF journey was becoming a parent at my age, but if I am honest it is also the reason I am doing it as I realize its now or never.

RebeccaG - don't be hesitant to join as this group would not be the same without you, it is so good to see you again. Glad you are on top of scheduled blood draws it sounds like someone needs to be!
Kke - like everyone else is saying here as long as the beta numbers are increasing at an appropriate percent that is all that matters. It looks like your beta numbers are doing just fine

Kke1988 - the line on a HPT is influenced from time of day to concentration of urine, therefore for a day to day comparison is of little use. Of course if someone at 4 months took the test and someone at 4 weeks took the test there is a higher likelihood that the woman at 4 months gestation would get a darker second line and faster but then the hCG levels will have an enormous difference in numbers. Main purpose of HPT is to give a positive or negative result

I hope you don't mind if "grandma" joins this site. My daughter has gone through IVF and her due date is May 27. I am trying to help her stay "up to date " on any and everything related to this being a successful pregnancy. Good luck to all of you and I pray all of you have healthy babies. Thanks for any info.

Welcome Nana! Thank you for your kind words.
Me and my husband this time we didn't tell anyone we've been in IVF.. since the first failed we didn't want family to be worried again. Now that we had a positive we want to tell like NOW... but it's always a risk... what did you do concerning announcing?
I hope I am replying in the right place. My daughter has not "announced" to anyone except her immediate family that she has tested positive. First 351 and 2nd 1368. As you all know. It's very early to start "spreading the news" .... I'm praying for all these "MAY babies.

Had my 3rd ultrasound yesterday, I am 7 weeks 6 days but baby measuring 8 weeks 2 days with heartbeat of 170 bpm. so I think that would be moving my due date from May 5th to May 2nd? One more ultrasound next Friday and if all goes well I graduate from the clinic. First ob appointment is the 23rd at Mount Sinai

Welcome to the new people.
Pandora - that's a nice strong heart beat. Things seem to be moving along nicely. Lucky you (graduating to your OB), I cant wait to graduate to my OB. I don't even go for my first u/s for another two weeks.
LBC - Wow... those were high numbers. Congrats on your transfer taking the first time. Don't feel bad. I had high numbers with my first transfer and felt the same way when we went for our u/s and it was only one baby. We were hoping for two.
AFM - I am starting to feel nauseous in the afternoon/evenings. I know its supposed to be morning sickness but I the last two days I have had to try hard to hold down my lunch and dinner. Not to mention there is no such thing as enough sleep right now. I hoping this will all change once I get off of the progesterone. I feel like its to early to have pregnancy symptoms but who am I kidding.... I have no clue whats really going on with my body right now...lol.. just 4 days ago i swore I wasn't pregnant (hahahhahah)
On a fun note... What is everyone hoping for? Boy/Girl? Are your going to find out or let it be a surprise?

LBC - I think its only natural that you would have some disappointment that one of the transfers failed to implant, to me that's 100% natural. Of course you are still delighted that one seems to be doing very well and has implanted. Looking forward to this journey with you also welcome to the group.

Welcome all new members, and congratulations on your pregnancies!
B3 Hopeful: I'm also with a lot of nausea, especially in at the end of the day and when I do sudden movements. I'm secretly hoping for a boy
About announcing: I was talking about close family of course! I agree it's indeed early.
Funny thing: Yesterday my family was gathered around the 40st birthday of my brother. He suddently announced his wife is 8 weeks pregnant of their 3rd child! A surprise to all! Me and my DH thought "this is it!" and also told my parents, brothers, sister and their spouses. It was a huge surprise to all, although we are all very cautious since it's really early to both pregnancies.
(Again guys sorry in advance if my english is not the most correct one, for those who don't know I'm writing from Portugal )

Some coworkers knew that I was going for our last transfer - so when I received the good news it spread like wild fire at work ( I'm pretty much an open book) but found myself saying all day- we've been to this stage before so please keep your fingers crossed!
What was bothersome was that a coworker wrote on Facebook tagging both me and josh saying congratulations on your pregnancy.... like Josh's family didn't even know we were doing this... it wasn't her news to share and at 4 weeks it is definitely not the time!
Please keep your fingers crossed for me on Tuesday - relieved to hear a high initial beta lead to a singleton!!

Hi hi! Probably a little too early for me to join such a board, too.... but such a milestone just to get a positive test! Also, I don't think my due date will be until June 3 -- but I shall start that board as a few more June buddies find out My husband and I finally feel like we can at least talk about next steps. We've waited almost 4 years to get to this point.
Fingers crossed for all of us waiting for the next big milestones xoxo.
