Hi everyone! Been so busy here. Elliott James was born on May 7th at 4:39 PM weighing 8lbs 8oz and a full head of hair. I was 40w3d when my water broke in the middle of the night. I was actually set to be induced on the 8th of May because on my last check I had made absolutely no progress. Arrived at the hospital at 3cm and they kept me because I was GBS+.

Labour was pretty standard, I took the epidural, had a nasty tear, baby and I were both discharged the next day. Recovery has been going pretty well, some discomfort down there still.

Pandora89,  So glad you baby is HERE!!  I know you are just over the moon happy.  You have been blessed with a baby.  Can't wait to hear all about him. My daughter Jill is due  in 4 days (Sunday)  She had not made any progress at her last visit on Tuesday.  Hopefully things will start to move real soon.  My bag is packed.  Let us hear all about your baby.

I had my twin babies on 1 June. They are perfect. Both are in NICU for respiratory assistance. They both get better everyday.
Umi Nicolette weighed 5 lbs 9 oz
Charles Scott weighed 6 lbs 1 oz
It wasnt planned on this day, but it was the best birthday for them!

Congrats everyone on your little bundles of joy!!! How exciting! :)

AFM - I had a baby girl in early May via c-section.  The surgery went well but it was a couple of hours after that all hell broke lose! - I felt some huge flows of warm gushes and suddenly in enormous pain so I rang for my nurse - I'm very lucky she was on the ball.  She checked me out and suddenly started yelling out the door that she had an emergency and needed help immediately - within a couple of minutes there were about 7-8 nurses in the room, the doctor, and the OB who was pulled out of an appointment with someone else.  It felt like an emergency scene from a tv show - I lost a lot of blood and suddenly started shaking and the medical staff were massaging my uterus and packing it to stop the bloodflow.  One of the nurses gave me a gas mask but it felt like it did nothing for the enormous pain I felt.  Anyways it took them about an hour to stop the bleeding and I was told I was very lucky to even be alive - yikes!!!  Not something I ever want to experience again.  I had to have a blood transfusion and have had 3 iron infusions since then.  I am on the road to recovery now and thoroughly enjoying this little girl. biggrin.png

Congrats to all the May babies.
Sami99-That is a big scare. Im so glad that you had an awesome team and you are recovering. Birthing babies isnt easy and put the birthing mother in a fragile state.
May we all enjoy mother(and father)hood. Best (job) ever.

sami99 - congratulations on the birth of your daughter. The hemorrhage you experienced post delivery sounds very scary, I am glad the nurses and other medical staff were on top of things and that you made a full recovery

Hi all,

I have spent the last week with my precious, Tinsley.  She is now 16 weeks old.  She is smiling and kicking at looking at everything.  She hold her head up by herself.  Joy just fills my heart.

I'd like to hear how everyone is doing with their "miracle baby"  Any illinesses, or special tips for the rest of us.  We just bought a "walker" and she loves it.  Loves the activity mat and of course the swing.  Her mama and daddy have never missed a night with the owlet.  She still gets up once at night for a feeding and back to bed.

I'd love to hear from ALL of you.

Debbie

I just wanted to share with all of you that my daughter  and her husband are enjoying their "Tinsley"  She is now almost 15 months old.  They are now ready to "implant" one of their 2 remaining embryos.  According to the doctor the implant will take place September 20.  Please keep them in your hearts and prayers.

Would love to hear from ALL of you.

Debbie
