Hello everyone,

RebeccaG, my doctor is also going to let me go into labor naturally. Due date of my baby boy is May 26th. 33 weeks now.

Burton, I also did ICSI.

Sorry I've been a away all this time. Actually it has been a REALLY difficult months for me. Everything is good with my baby boy, but unfortunately two months ago my mother was diagnosed with a really bad brain tumor that was growing really fast. I stood next to her every day in the hospital, gradually she lost her speech although she was conscious and aware. Sadly she died last week during her sleep. After all the things we have lived to get to this point of parenthood, this was the last thing I expected to happen. It has been really difficult as you can imagine.

She was 64 years old and still volunteer as a teacher in a alternative school for special kids, a very powerful woman. Hope she is somewhere looking after this grandson, and hope I have her strength.

All the best to all of you.

Guida

So good to hear all the news about the "May" babies.  We, too, are excited and are ready for May 27.  Our family/friends shower was a huge success and baby girl "Tinsley" got lots of nice things.  My daughter has had 3 of those 3D ultrasounds and they baby did not cooperate , to their liking.  She had her had over her face and then sucked her thumb, so they didn't get the pictures they wanted.  They did see lots of hair, all the fingers and toes, pretty eyes, nose, and lips, etc.

I hope all of you will check in and tell us all the news when your baby arrives.  I want to know everything!! How much they weighed, what they look like, (why doesn't this forum allow pictures), etc.

It's getting very close now!  Prayers for all of you.

Debbie

Guida - I am so sorry for your loss, If there is an afterlife which I think there most likely is, your Mum will be looking after you and your baby boy when the time comes

NanaDeb - A strange must have baby item that three people told me I should have is a "Bobby Luxe feeding and infant support pillow". I have been told it has many uses and not just for feeding

AFM - having baby shower this on April 14, it should be fun and entertaining.  35W & 5D today, the time is going so fast, I don't think I will ever be ready, I have the essentials, but I am told its normal for first time parents to feel they will never be ready as well as anxious. Super excited and find I just in such a good mood most of the time, of course I am not carrying the bump! I hope all is going well for all in this group and I look forward to hearing good news stories real soon!

Guida - I am so sorry for your loss, sending lots of virtual hugs,

Burton - We did ICSI

RebeccaG -  I met with my OB yesterday and he said he doesn't like any of his pregnancies going very far past their due date and since I am an IVF pregnancy, if baby isn't here by my due date, I am being induced the week off.

36w6d here so should have baby within the next 3.5 weeks. Getting a cervical check next week to see if anything is happening and we will go from there! Nursery is mostly done, car seat is installed and hospital bag is mostly packed! Things are getting real.

Rebecca- I am being induced at 37 weeks but because I am over 40 with hypertension and a large baby. My OB wants to avoid preeclampsia as I had in my last pregnancy.

Guida- So sorry for your loss. What an incredibly hard time to go through that during your pregnancy. Hugs.

Bay area- Enjoy your baby shower, so fun!

Nanadeb- Yay on the successful shower! I am pretty sure pics are allowed on this forum, the file just has to be under a certain size to post.

Pandora- You are getting so close, exciting!

wavey.gif Hello to all my other due date buddies. I hope you all are doing well.

I started BP meds as my BP was up to 150/100. Bloodwork is still good, no sign of preeclampsia yet. I can't believe baby will be here in 13 days yahoo.gif . Induction is scheduled at 8 a.m. on the 25th, we are so ready for her Emoticons09710.gif

Hi All,

Looks like the due date count downs are about to beginyahoo.gif . I am so excited for us all. Sorry I haven't been very vocal but this pregnancy has been a roller-caster. I found out at 20 weeks that I had a short cervix and at 22 weeks I was hospitalized because of it. Long story short.... I have been on hospital bed-rest for the past 10 weeks. I was recently released last week to the comforts of my own home. I'm still on strict bed-rest but feeling great. Today marks the 34 week mark so I have no complaints. The baby weighed in at 4 pounds at 32 weeks. With that being said the doctors wont induce me; I'm on a week by week case as far as delivery goes. When the cervix goes she will come.

Please let me know if anyone starts a FB page for our group or if enough are interested I can set one up so we can start to share pics, mile stones, etc. The page would be restricted to just the 15 of us that have one due date list.

It is starting to be exciting times.  Those May babies are ready.  Hope all of us are ready, also.

Guida-  So sorry to hear about your mom.  No matter how sick or how old, no one is ever ready to give up their mom.  Treasure the memories.

Rebecca, I love the name Samuel.  I know you can't wait.

Pandora89  So glad you have your hospital bag ready.   I have my bag ready, too.

I am having such a hard day! I am a nurse and I thought I could work full time up until I deliver but I am so tired and I hurt so bad! I dont want to be a complainer and I am needed at work, but I feel like I am getting no time to rest or eat at work because we are so busy. The hours get away from me and its stressful. The other day I almost passed out at a patients house because I didnt get a chance to eat till 4. I am 34 weeks. Are you all working up till delivery? If not, when are you leaving work?

Also, Ive been having constant Braxton Hicks contractions at work. Mostly when I am busy or stressed my abdomen is extremely hard and uncomfortable, which leads to back pain.

Burton- Sorry to hear work is so tough right now, I couldn't imagine having to be on my feet for very long right now especially with all the swelling. I think its amazing you have worked this long with your job!

According to my last u/s baby's size went from the 95th percentile to 50th, I did have a student this time who was making lots of mistakes so I am not sure if that's why there is such a difference. My OB checked my cervix yesterday and I am 1 cm dialated and baby's head is really low causing alot of pressure. I was having alot of contractions on the NST. Hoping this will help for a smooth induction on Wednesday wub.png

Burton - I can't imagine being that busy this far in my pregnancy - I work in an office and I am not doing well!  You NEED to take care of your self and take some time for yourself before baby comes!  Could you get put off work - I know that nobody likes to do that...but its important that you are well.

I too had anticipated working right up until my due date - now I want to take two weeks prior to induction.

I am getting very little done these days!

Odessa, best of luck for Weds - how exciting!

Baby Madison is almost 2 weeks old already! She is so amazing heart.gif  She is such a calm baby and nursing is going amazing. When my other daughter was born she never did get a proper latch and I ended up exclusively pumping and bottle feeding so this is really extra special. The feeds have gone from every 1 1/2 hours to every 2.5-3 hours the last couple days so getting a little more sleep in between. We are still in awe that she is here and is ours wub.png . Our 5 year old is so in love with her little sister, it melts my heart seeing them together!!

Finally after a 14 year infertility journey our family is complete Emoticons0096.gif

B3-I sent you my facebook info to join the group biggrin.png

How is everyone doing? Any more babies born?? So excited to hear!
