Hi everyone, hey Rebecca did you have your reveal, is it a boy as you thought? @BASG I wonder what gender you are having, if you are finding out? 21 weeks now, it's real hot here, but I'm feeling much better, the awful sense of smell I used to have is back under control so nothing I smell makes me nauseous now, and only feel nausea the very odd time nothing bad at all... Nothing much to report just thought I'd catch up with any news and keep in touch... I think the genders are even at the moment within our group from my quick count. Bye for now

Hi PaulaandPortia - Yes we had our reveal and we are indeed having a little boy - honestly it was one of the best days of my life.  It was so much fun finding out with family and friends.

I have also been feeling better for the most part!  Though I threw up 3 times in the parking  lot at work yesterday morning :-(

Hello!

Hope all the May babies are doing well.  I just talked to my daughter.  She is 21 weeks now.  The nausea has gone and she has a small baby bump.  She can now feel the baby (girl) when she kicks and moves.  She and her husband listen to the heartbeat with one of those monitor things.  Several baby showers have been planned.  Last Saturday they started putting things in the nursery.  This is their first baby so every thing is new and exciting.  Let me know how everyone is doing.

24 weeks today I have a hard last few weeks my anomaly scan shown two possible markers that could suggest a chromosome problem. obviously I was super anxious and out of my mind with worry, I am sure I was depressed also. But today I got more or less the all clear with a specialist doctor, and was told they do not think there is a chromosome problem. There might be a problem with intestine that might require surgery soon after birth, but its too early to say yet as problem is still only slight on the scan. They will rescan again in 7 weeks and keep an eye on it. The doctor was very reassuring today and told me he thinks worst case scenario is my baby will need surgery soon after birth, but if she does it is fairly common type of surgery and has a good recovery rate. He is also hopeful the problem might resolve and not be an issue when she is born.

Hello to All,

My daughter had her 3D ultra sound On Friday.  I so wish I could  post pictures here.  Her sweet Tinsley Catherine is so cute.  My daughter's first reaction was "OMG, she looks just like my sister"  The brain, spine, heart, and the other organs and parts of of her were perfect, so we are so thankful all looks well.  She is now 23 weeks.  Her doctor said babies can be viable at 23 weeks, so she feels better. She is over her nausea and headaches.  She and her hubby are busy "setting up the nursery. "

Let me hear from ALL of you.  The bond of the folks on this thread is a miracle and gift.

Debbie

Hello Mama's! It's been a long time... I've been so wrapped up in work, which I never thought I would be able to focus on again since this pregnancy. But things Do seem to be moving so much faster now. I can't believe i'm almost 23 weeks!! It's still so strange to be on this side of the journey. I have a handful of friends really struggling, also, and I want to be a support to them, but it's hard not to feel almost guilty around them. I have to remind myself we deserve this just as much as anyone. It took us 4+ years to get here, right?!

We just found out a couple weeks ago we are having a boy! I was a little surprised, but am so excited :) We had a bit of a snafu with a nurse at my regular OB/GYN right before Christmas re: the sex. We asked her to dig up the chroma testing results so we could find out the sex of the baby on Christmas day. In a hurry over the phone before she left for break, she slipped that it might be confusing for us to read because "they were all the same". Meaning, if we looked at the results of our multiple embryos, they would be hard to differentiate because they are all the same sex. NOT information I was asking for.... It took me a few days to really wrap my head around that piece of information. Many reasons: when we find out the sex of this child, that will be the only sex we will ever have; we'll never have the chance to have a surprise with any of the remaining embryos; IVF is already pretty medical and does take some of the wonder and nature out of the experience, so knowing this information felt not right to me; also, the focus went to the whole package, not just this little guy inside me right now. It didn't feel fair. Honestly, I don't know what our plan was for the remaining embryos. I do want more children after this one, but putting a sex to them adds some level of attachment I wasn't ready for. Anyway, lots of feelings in many directions that I can't quite explain. Ultimately, with some time, we've been able to focus on the bright sides of having this information. I did always picture myself with a girl at some point in my life. I miss that female connection I had with my late mother and I don't have any sisters. BUT, I am so excited about a house full (a relative term!) of boys now :) And damn, just so happy to be reproducing....

Whew... sorry, giant brain dump. I guess I'm curious if anyone else has had interesting information snafus with their pregnancies. It's nothing I had thought about during all those years of trying to make it happen.

BASM, I am thinking about you and hope everything turns out perfectly! Keep us posted ;)

Hugs, Bay Area, I am happy that you got some reassuring news.

AFM - 26w5d, cant believe I am so close to the third trimester. I had my GD test yesterday and found out today that I had passed. At my OB appointment yesterday, the OB mentioned that she would like to do one more ultrasound around week 34 just because this is an IVF baby. My shower is also in just over 2 weeks! Time is flying. The nursery furniture was set up but then I decided that I wanted to paint the walls so we had to move out all of the things and cover the furniture up so H could paint. Hoping to have that done this weekend so I can move everything back over the week so it's ready before my shower.

Baby is so active and I have started to feel and see him not only just kick but move and roll around. Such a weird feeling!

I have a question.  Have any of your doctors recommended you take the TDAP vaccine.  My daughter's doctor recommended she take it as well as grandparents.  Your thoughts??

Hi everyone - just catching up on all the news - I've had a hard time signing in lately -

- Bay Area  SM - so sorry that you received such scary news I hope that it all fixes itself before she is born (little girl - congrats)

- Nana Deb we were only told to get whooping cough - (family too)

- Sarah Someday - I would be annoyed too - we are robbed of so much with infertility - that exciting moment of not knowing and dreaming about the possible little girl or boy has been snatched from you!  I also know what you mean about people who are still in there infertility journey - the guilt.

Josh and I painted a herringbone pattern as a focal wall in the baby's nursery and I found myself sobbing while doing it - when Josh came back from grabbing a snack I was sitting on the floor letting it all out because there were so many years when I never thought that I would be lucky enough to plan a nursery and I know so many people whose heart is aching for the opportunity.

All I do is try to listen - also helping coordinate a fund raising event and we are considering donating Josh's sperm - I know we are lucky and I know we need to help others in some way.

Samuel had the hiccups the other morning and feeling that was amazing - he's in there and I can't wait to see him!

On another note I've been watching tons of youtube VLOGS on baby "must haves" and "don't waste your money"

This winter is harsh - eagerly awaiting Spring!

NanaDeb -  T-DAP was recommended for my GS, myself, and anyone else that would be in close contact with baby. People usually only need a booster of T-DAP every 10 years, but my OB said its recommended in every pregnancy for the pregnant women.T-DAP is a combination vaccine and last letter stands for pertussis which is whooping cough. So I guess my feeling is take it, you probably have already made that decision, sorry about my slow reply.

AFM - thanks for all the supportive messages I was nice to read I have support on here, we are all getting so close its getting scary! My specialist OB ordered the Harmony blood test and it took a little over 10 days for the results. They were very reassuring and it does not look like there is any chromosome problems with my pregnancy, and the result also shown its still a girl lol. I will be 29 weeks tomorrow Friday. Is everyone ready, or is a slight panic setting in with others too? I am so excited but I am having episodes where I think am I going to be okay and able to do this, I do here from friends that have children that these feelings are 100% normal when expecting your first child.

Bay Area - so happy to hear that you received reassuring harmony results! What a relief.

How is everyone doing?

AFM - 30 weeks tomorrow, been in ultra nesting mode. My shower was this past weekend and it was so overwhelming! All our big ticket items were purchased and most of the registry was cleared out. H and I spent the weekend purging things and emptying out the closet in the nursery that's full of our stuff. The nursery is mostly done, just waiting for H to hang up the bookshelves and put in shelving in the closet. I also want to change out the closet doors and light fixture. Hopefully he can get that done soon.

Hello May due dates!!!

It is getting close.  Now that the baby bumps are there it is even more real.  An exciting time in your lives.  I've just returned from visiting my daughter.  She weighed 105 pre and is now 120.  She is tall and has a small baby bump.  I can see the baby kicking or punching or moving around.  We went to visit a daycare type school.  They do not have any openings until next January.  I was wondering what you all are going to do about day care.  Since I am retired, I will be there for my daughter as she needs me.  Praying for all of you to have uneventful deliveries.

That is great news Bay Area!!

NanaDeb, I am a stay at home mom so won't be using daycare.  It's so neat to see baby moving around now isn't it!

Pandora, great job on the nursery progress!

At 22 weeks my OB thought she heard my baby's heart was skipping beats on the doppler. I was sent for a high tech u/s and thankfully baby's heart and everything else is well!! I am 28 weeks today, hello 3rd trimester smile.png . I have been feeling great, just some insomnia at night.

Odessa are you in the May due date FB forum?

Bay Area - so happy that you have good news - I too have anxiety about how our life is going to change and am I going to bond with him, will I love him so much that I live in fear...but I also have times of pure bliss and just feeling thankful!

I also am working on the nursery - it feels so real now!  Bought a Rock n Play after hearing great reviews - we set that up - driving my mom crazy by buying the baby (Samuel) lots of black! :-)

I look at Josh almost every day and say - did you ever imagine we would make it so far?

I am helping coordinate a plant and sip night with the funds going to infertility and we have been talking about donating Josh's sperm - we just feel so lucky and feel like we NEED to help others.

Rebecca, Odessa is due 5/17.

Hi everyone! Im excluding myself from this group and sorry I havent been in touch. I had an ectopic pregnancy and couldnt write a post because I was so upset about it. Luckily, we just did a cycle this January and I am now pregnant with a baby due in October :)
Sorry for being MIA and congrats to you all!
