Hi All - Started stims today for my second IVF cycle. I'm taking Menopur and Puregon (same as last time) but my dosages are different.

My dose of Puregon is supposed to be 187.5 units and I'm wondering how I'm supposed to measure this on the pen? If my math is correct, each click on the pen is 8.333 units which makes it impossible to measure 187.5.

Has anyone else had this same dose? What did you do?

Thanks!
Adriana

Does your clinic have an after hours number you can call? My dosages have always been round numbers. I assume they would just want you to round either up or down, but seems odd that they would have such a specific number in that case.

Good luck

Welcome Adriana. That's a strange dosage amount they gave you. You're correct that you can't select that dosage amount on the pen. I wonder if it was an error on your clinic's part? I was told to take different Puregon dose amounts throughout my cycle but the amounts were always multiples of 25, as I'm guessing the doses on your last cycle were too.

I'm guessing it's too late today for you to call one of your nurses at the clinic (but you could try). I would just take one click below the 200 mark for today, then call them tomorrow to confirm what they want you to do going forward. Technically it would be 191.67 units but 4 units won't make a difference so don't worry about it ;)

Good luck on this cycle.
