Hello Doctor - I have severe adenomyosis (it can be seen by ultrasound) and most probably endometriosis as well, though never diagnosed.  I'm scheduled for a natural FET next month. My doctor says that he hasn’t seen any strong evidence that 2-3 months of Lupron before a transfer is beneficial in my case but from what I’ve read it seems that is could be. I have had a lot of setbacks in this process and I want to give myself the very best chance for pregnancy. At this stage I would like a second opinion on this. Would you recommend a Lupron-type of drug before a natural FET for adnomyosis? Thanks.

Great question

While there are some studies suggesting benefit in giving lupron prior to embryo transfer, there are not many studies and they are fairly small. There are no large high quality studies that I am aware of that show a benefit.

If it is of a concern to you I would revisit this with your doctor.

Good luck!
