Hi everyone,
I'm wondering from the time you go for your mock transfer until start of cycle what is the timeline? Does anyone have a timeline of a regular ivf cycle at conceptia or know how long it usually is?
Thanks

We will have all sperm analyst, blood work, and 3 months of vits done. We have done ivf before and know we have to do icsi. Do you think we will cycle and be done our 2ww if we have a mock in august?

It depends on when you start your AF but generally, it's about 2 months - start to finish.

For my first cycle, I had my mock transfer mid February. BCP started shortly after. IVF cycle started the end of March and PUPO by mid April. Beta was near the end of April.

Hope this helps give you an idea of the timeline.

I have my mock the end of this month and was told that when AF starts beginning of July I'm good to start BCP. BCP 3-4 wks and then approx. 10 days of Stims. This is our first cycle so just going by the info the nurses gave me :) good luck!

Heathermac, you're bang on but missing a few things. 3-4wks of BCP. Baseline visit about 5 days after your last BCP. 10 days of Stims. Retrieval is generally 2 days after last stim/trigger shot. Transfer on Day 3 or Day 5 post retrieval and about 12 days for beta. Best of luck to you for your first cycle! The nurses are great there 😊

Thank you! How long did you wait for your mock? Like consult-to-blood work-to-mock?
Thanks guys I'm going crazy with the unknowns and I've even been through this before. It's such SN emotionally charged journey.

Hi Courtney, after consult my req for bloodwork was sent right away and I went for it the next day (but they failed to tell me I needed to fast so had most done except 2 tests), went the next week for the other 2 (unforunately these tests take around 2 weeks to run so had to wait for these). I called the clinic to make sure they got the results and for follow up (have found if I don't that they take a week or more to get back). And had my mock scheduled for the yesterday it was 3 weeks later (but I've heard they are booking end of aug now for them). Now just waiting on AF to start so I can start BCP.

Heathermac, how did you make out? I know that we have to do ivf and icsi as we have done this before but at the AART in Halifax they didn't do a mock. Hope we can get in for the mock in august.

Mock went well the apt was fairly quick not the most comfortable of course with the full bladder lol
Hope you can get in quickly. Do you mind me asking why you switched clinics with a positive at AART?

Hi there, we were living in Nova Scotia when we did our first cycle in 2012. They were exceptional. We now live in Moncton and with the rebate through the government, the convience and everything we are going g to conceptia. We started a cycle at conceptia in 2016 but I decided I wasn't ready to try again as we had some complications with our first cycle OHSS and incompetent cervix at 20 weeks, almost lost our daughter and had emergency cerclage. So I was nervous to try it again, but think I'm ready. It's hard not to compare the two cycles and clinics but I'm trying hard.

Hi everyone,

Hope it's ok that I jump in on this thread... Booked for Mock tomorrow... and I'm super nervous. Can anyone tell me what to expect???

Also, I've started spotting a little today. Can I still go for the Mock? I called the clinic and am waiting for a call back.

Thanks in advance for your help!!

Hi Angela you can totally go for mock even while on your period. As for what to expect you go in for apt and they place the speculum in you with external ultrasound and then put a drop of water inside can be a tiny bit uncomfortable from opening cervix, and a lot uncomfortable (feel like you'll pee on dr. R lol) from the full bladder and pushing from top and bottom on it lol.
Good luck!
