Somewhat Dubious Things & Outright Lies I Have Told My Husband

Well - my ovaries have now completed their heroic efforts – they released their egg(s) and ideally they have been pierced by my husband’s somewhat lackadaisical sperm – (much enhanced by washing). We just made it over the threshold of 52 % motility which one would think is pretty darn ok – but is apparently only slightly ok (read borderline) – I continue to allow my husband to believe that his sperm are super star sperm – cause this makes him feel useful and part of the process and well...he's a guy and they don't typically mind so much when you stretch the truth about their nether regions.

And it makes me consider all the other things about this process that I have either kept cloaked in shadows or have outright lied about. Here’s my admission.

Somewhat Dubious Things & Outright Lies I Have Told My Husband

• This won’t impact our sex life in the least – I promise
• Our savings are pretty much where they were last year – it’s this darn economy
• The hormones won’t be so bad – most women do pretty well on them
• This won’t consume every waking hour of my being – I’m much more well adjusted than that
• If need be we’ll consider adoption
• Oh yeah – sometimes, some men, probably not you, - will need to give two samples on IUI day – it’s rare but it happens

In any case it’s all up to my uterus now to help my little eggs (at least one of them) hunker down in for the long haul. I personally imagine my embryo as nestling in and sipping some nice warm cocoa.

Letozole: $ 11.30 (dispensing fee)
IUI + Sperm wash: 350.00
Puregon (300) : $ 320.00
Puregon (50)+Ovridril: 136.00
Progesterone: 30.00

I think I have told my husband all those lies.....he called me on the one about two samples on IUI day!
Another lie.....I've gained all this weight due to the hormones, the tub of Hagen Daz a day had NOTHING to do with it!
LOL - yes - I want to add this to the my list as well!
