Scheduled for our FET for July
Wednesday the 25th was my follow up appointment from additional testing after my last fresh transfer. The doctor said that everything looked beautiful and that he had no explanation as to why it didn't work out. I was originally concerned that I've started spotting a week before and until my period starts. He did mention that that could be a sign of endo, but that IVF is the best way to treat that problem anyways, so he was not that concerned. He did have me do a mock cycle, where I went in for blood work on day 21 and also had a hysterosonogram to check my uterus for polyps etc. So, I guess since everything looks fine, he said they would put me back on the list for FET. The plan is they are taking my 2nd lowest grade embryo and trying to un-thaw it for transfer first, then if I need to I can use my first grade embryo if I have to. The doctor believes this is the best way to go. I have only 3 embabies, so this kinda made me nervous as well.
Yesterday while I was at work I received the call that we will be starting in July! I'm excited, but scared as hell. It's been really hard getting over my last cycle, and like everyone, I'm SO scared I will end up with another chemical or a bfn. I'm trying to let my faith be stronger than my fear.. but it's so hard! I think my husbands nervous as well, but of course he doesn't say anything. The fear of failure is something we will just have to push through. Take it one day at a time.
Anyways, Now that I only have two months to prepare for my FET (and I've absolutely been eating junk like crazy since my failed cycle), I need to get on preparing my body. I have made an acupuncture appointment and will start taking it once a week until about 2 weeks before transfer and then I will start doing it twice a week until after my beta. I will be drinking my red raspberry leaf tea at least once a day until transfer and be eating and drinking nothing but warm foods and liquids after transfer. I guess I will still be using socks as well (even though it may be very hot, being that it's summer). No more sugar, caffeine, or bread (as much as possible) and lots of water! Of course, I LOVE avocados so they will be part of my daily diet as well. Last but not least, I'm taking vitamin D, prenatal Jamieson multi vitamin, omega 3 and Royal Jelly. Just got to be healthy... and pray that this little frostie becomes our take home baby...
