We are down to choosing between these 2 hospitals for delivery. I like Sturgeon because closer to us, nice private rooms, already know a recommended OB there by family dr, and the comfort of knowing there won't be lots of residents or crowded hospital. My DH thinks we should go Royal Alex route as it has advanced NICU and if any complications happen to me.

Any experience delivering at Sturgeon Hospital? Any helpful information would be greatly appreciated.

Me: 39 | DH: 39 | DD 3yr from FET3

TTC: 2008

DH - MFI only in morphology in 2011 it was 1% (they look for anything above 4%).

Me - healthy except for irregular AF / on thyroid medication.

Personally I wouldn't deliver at the Sturgeon. Their neonatal care is lacking. Last I heard (which was 3-4 years ago mind you), they didn't have an in-house Neonatologist (who you need to intubate your baby if they aren't breathing on their own after birth).

I'd go to the Royal Alex or the Mis. If you live in St. Albert, both hospitals are pretty equidistant I'd say.
