Just wondering if anyone has gone through IVF and only had one ovary?

I had my right tube and ovary removed after my daughter was born due to a huge cyst.

IVF seems to be our only solution to having another child, but I am worried about only having one ovary.

This whole process is so overwhelming.

If you have your tube open i dont see why ivf is the only option but why wouldnt it work??? If your ovary is still producing then you should be ok

My husband has low motility and morphology, we did 5 cycles of femara, trigger and timed intercourse. We have talked about IUI with injectables but my RE feels it might just be a waste of time and money. It will cost min 1500 per cycle for that and our insurance has a life time cap of 2500 for infertility procedures and 2500 for meds so I will got though that easily and would prefer to save the insurance for IVF.

I was just looking for anyone else that has done IVF with one ovary, I'm concerned because obviously I will likely not produce as many eggs, which was the concern the RE mentioned with IVF, but he said if everything else looked ok then hopefully with the right protocol we would be able to do it.

I can't speak from experience but I do know I have seen people on this site proceed with one ovary. And it only takes one golden egg.

Recommend you post your topic in the general as well - not just in over 35. You may find more people respond there! :)
