I don't drink coffee but maybe you could start cutting down so it's not a big withdrawal once/if you buy out?
Heck I'm not even eating healthy yet 😬

When my husband drinks it a lot then doesn't he gets headaches for a day or two. If you think you might, I'd do that before stims so you do t have those side effects plus withdrawal

Afm- great news!! On cd2 im getting u/s and blood work. If my estrogen levels are still low then the doctors are gonna go in and drain that nasty cyst before it even has a chance to hurt our cycle. Only bad thing is the procedure is just like ER so it will be like getting two Ers this cycle 😭. Also this cycle I'm not on suprefact which I hated just straight to injections!!

Fairytale- awesome that you already know your dates! I hope the draining goes well and isn't too bad for you. What is suprefact?
Marianne- do you know your retrieval date already?

Fairytale, it's always frustrating to have to add extra elements in. But I think it is a good idea to have it sorted so it doesn't cause you pain.
Hbbg hooray always good to have a good scan. 1 less to do.

Hello - does anyone have any suggestions or tips on what to do before a frozen embryo transfer? I am going through my first medicated FET. Currently down regulating with bcp. Will be on suprefact later and will have an endo scratch done as well.
For anyone who has had an endo scratch - how many weeks before the FET did you get it done?
IVF #1 - Estrogen priming antagonist protocol. Poor responder. 6 eggs retrieved, 2 mature. 2 fertilized with ICSI. Transferred on Day 2 (one 4 cell and another 2 cell) - BFN
31 Years Old, deemed a poor responder with DOR due to severe endo (chocolate cyst on right ovary).
Am currently trying to figure out what worked for others in similar situations as me ?
IVF #2,3, and 4 - Completed Embryo Banking with VFC (Dr Hudson). Amazing Experience. Retrieved in total 9 embryos of high quality and day 5+.
FET #1 (with VFC) - June 2017. Successful, BFP, and DD born in March 2018
FET #2 (with VFC) - tentatively scheduled for December 2019

I just did a quick read over everyone's messages so far. Marianne: I'm in the process of cutting out coffee too! I've cut back but am still having 1 cup/day. I am on Day 5 of my FET cycle, long protocol so I just started BCP. I'm guessing that my transfer will be mid-June. I need to start eating healthier too!
Wishing and hoping - I did have a scratch done with my fresh cycle. I was thinking of having one done with this FET but decided not to and to try it without. Sorry I'm not more helpful with the timing of it all though!
Wishing everyone luck as we all prepare for the weeks ahead!

Wishing I haven't had a scratch before but was going to ask about that and also the saline wash. Saline wash is meant to improve implantation. So might try that first. In answer to your question what else I do, I also take cartia which is a low dose aspro to keep the blood thin to ensure the blood flow around the uterus is not thick which can cause miscarriage.
Zoe we will be close on transfer but fingers crossed I will find out my dates tomorrow at my appointment.

Hello everyone! Adding myself to this group. Had our preliminary meeting with the nurse last week. Looks like I will be starting meds mid May so transfer is likely in early June. We will be doing our first IVF cycle and we are using donor eggs. So it will be more like an FET. I also have thin lining issues so for the past few months I have been focusing on improving blood flow to help the lining grow. I have cut caffeine (I don't drink coffee but do enjoy my tea...I am trying to stick to only 1 cup of caffeinated tea a day). I go for weekly acupuncture. And I am taking Vitamin E, D, Omega-3 and the usual prenatal vitamins and folic acid. I am also trying to eat healthy and exercising more (training to run a 10k in a couple of weeks!).
To prepare the endometrium for the transfer, I will be taking estrace pills and estradot patch as well as Sildenafil (Viagra) suppositories daily starting CD1. The sildenafil helped get my lining thicker during a previous mock cycle. Hopefully all of the above will help get me past the minimum goal of 0.6mm. I am really nervous about that part since thin lining is my biggest issue right now.
Good luck to everyone in this group! Hoping June will be the lucky month for all!

Dx: POF due to Chemo & Radiation;1996: bone marrow transplant, chemo & radiation fried ovaries, never got to meet AF;

2013: On hold - started HRT for premature menopause symptoms;
2016: Another round of mock cycles - thin lining issues persist. Thickest lining achieved: 0.6mm. On waiting list for government funded cycle with DE in Winter 2017
2017: Moved up on the waiting list. New cycle start date: May 2017!

I've never done a FET (never had any embryos make it to freeze) so I can't really help. I am drinking red raspberry tea which is supposed to help with uterine lining so it might be worth checking into for FET?

Marianne - good luck with injections!
Those who are in Ontario, are you getting your meds from your clinic or Glenshields, or local pharmacy or online?

Fairytale: I haven't had a D & C but I have had a scratch. I would guess, based on friends who've had a d&c that the scratch is much quicker. I think in a d&c they really try to scrape everything out, with the scratch they just "scratch it" in a few spots. I believe it's quicker than a d&c and less painful. I was really worried before having my scratch done and in the end it wasn't that big of a deal (some of my sonohystograms have been way worse than the scratch was).
hbbg: I just get meds from the clinic. There have been a few times that I got estrace or prometrium at a local pharmacy... and I did get Gonal F there once back in 2012 for an IUI but they really didn't know much about it (the pharmacist admitted she didn't know how the pen worked and that they'd just been on youtube trying to figure it out.... my response was to explain that on the pharmaceutical company website there was a video explaining how to do it and then showed her how I thought it worked)
