Just got call today that my current FET cycle cancelled.

The reason is kind of unacceptable: no PGS test result yet.

On this forum, I believe there are no FET cycle got cancelled due to this kind of reason.

I donot understand why it took them so long to have the test result ready. is it just a 10 day process?

Should I just told them forget about the PGS test, and just go ahead?

My clinic does not do their own PGS testing.  When I asked about it, they told me it would take a couple of months.  Did your clinic tell you it is a 10 day turnaround?  If so, I would be asking them for an update and when it will be complete.

Were you embryos frozen and sent away for testing or is it done at your clinic?

If they were sent away, I am not sure you could just cancel the PGS testing to do the transfer anyway, but you should discuss everything with your clinic.

Sorry for your cancelled FET :(  There is enough waiting throughout this process!

NewD,

I am  with NewLife also and it does take some time. I was told 6 to 8 weeks.  I don't understand why they would tell you 10 days? FET cycles get cancelled for many reasons unfortunately and yes it can happen because timelines were off. I am a little confused because usually they will do PGS, once completed, they will freeze the embryos that were PGS normal and then start you on a protocol. It seems you started your protocol first, is that correct? If so, that is odd because this is not NEWLIFE'S practice, usually. I would suggest you wait to get your results and then do the FET. How could you go ahead if your embryos have been sent out? Do you have other embryos that are not being tested? From my understanding PGS is done from an outside source, NEWLIFE does not do it on their premise.

Hi amazing grace,

Thanks for your information

It is strange since they started my cycle monitor for FET cycle and then cancel it. It doesn't sounds right.

Hi NewD,

Thought I'd chime in too. I have looked into sending mine for testing as well.  I'm not sure about your clinic, but mine sends it to Reprogenetics (just in case yours go there too), and my nurse told me that it usually takes about 6-8 weeks for the result to come back.  Hope this helps!

No it does not sound right. I am confused as to why they would do that. If I may ask, which location are you at and who is your nurse? Keep me posted, I would like to know what happens.

Hi Seem14,

Mine clinic told me is 2 to 3 weeks process and didnot give me a name where they send to. so maybe they do it in house.
