Wonderful news BabyB!

When I did my cycle all of my 8 mature eggs were fertilized with ICSI - none were damaged. Perhaps ask your clinic how damage occurs.

Bayb.
I've read extensively about icsi and to do
Icsi they need to remove a cellular material from the egg to inject the sperm. I've also read that this cellular material that coats the egg communicates with the sperm and I have also read it can cause the egg to degenerate and in some
Cases become hardened. Just whAt I've researched

Oh wow bayb dreams, awesome number of eggs! Glad it went well! I'm not really sure what ICSI damage is, definitely ask your clinic.

ENF, my mock cycle is okay. My lining looked good and it looks like progesterone levels are normal. How are you doing?

Hi ladies :-)
Just finished a FET in February that sadly was a bfn. Just signed the consent forms to try again. We'll be doing another FET at the end of April. 3rd times a charm I hope!

I had a failed FET in Feb too at RFC. All the best this time around :)

Welcome JCharbs!

I've just received my protocol and it looks like I will be taking ASA after all. I'm currently taking 5mg folic acid, 2000iu vitamin d, and a prenatal. Starting on CD2 I'm to take 81mg ASA and 4mg oral Estrace twice daily. I'll have my lining check on CD13 or CD14. CD1 should be March 23.

Welcome to the new members! Glad to see there are so many of us doing FET in April. Does anyone else feel like time is going by extremely slowly? I still have a full week before I start my Estrace. I started my Lupron on a Feb 27, but since I used Lupron Depot it's a monthly dose so haven't done anything since then. Sometimes I forget I took it until I get a hit flash lol!

Hi Everyone,

I'm a little ahead of the group but will, hopefully, be in my 2ww in April. I did my first lining check today, CD21 after 18 days of patches + estrace and I got just over 7mm. This is huge for me! I've only seen 6mm before. I did a C-GSF treatment, also called neupogen, and will go back at the end of the week. My lining is also tri-laminar. I'm trying not to get too excited but feeling positive that my hysterscopy, acupuncture and all of the supplements have at least changed things for my lining. My last attempt I held at 5mm.  I would also still have to get a good matris ultrasound score to transfer but I am now estimating that if I make it to transfer it will be between March 23-28. Should know more at the end of the week.

Anyone else started estrace/estrogen and enjoying the symptoms? I thought I'd dodged the moodiness but got super annoyed about some dishes last night. My partner is out of town and I think he was good about it when I got cranky on the phone last night that he'd left dishes in the sink and the dishwasher unloaded. Thank you estrogen!

Hey Schlepp,

Congrats on the thicker lining that normal, that's so exciting!!

I'm awaiting my period following my egg retrieval which was on Friday and it feels like time is just crawling by!!  This whole process really tests our patience hey?!

I took estrace in preperation for my stim cycle and don't recall any crazy symptoms, I find I have more symptoms on progesterone.  I'm currently taking Provera and am breaking out, getting hot flashes, feeling super tired, and irritable.  Oh the joys!!

Good luck at your next lining check! :)

Welcome Schlepp! Your lining sounds great and I'm sure you must be relieved and so happy. My transfer will be sometime around April 11-13 (based on when AF is due to arrive) but I'd love to hold off until April 14 or 15 if my RE agrees. I'll be on Estrace, 4 mg twice a daily orally, starting on CD2. I'm assuming it won't hurt to wait a few extra days on Estrace after my lining check to transfer, but I'll need to confirm that with my RE.

Real3D - Back in 2014 when I did my fresh cycle I totally felt like time moved very, very slowly. This time around I feel like time is moving so fast. I'm very apprehensive about being pregnant again because I had a very difficult pregnancy last time. Baby was super healthy but I had severe nausea and severe carpal tunnel, which made day to day life pretty miserable. I'm very excited about trying again though, just nervous how my body will cope. What date do you start Estrace?

I start my Estrace on the 20th and have my lining check on the 30th. I don't remember the side effects from last time but I'm sure there were many and I'll be reminded of them soon enough. I'll be taking both PIO shots and progesterone suppositories this time so that should be interesting... last time I only had to take the suppositories.

Just wondering whether anyone is using any supplements to help thicken their lining? I read that the lining thickness plays a large role in the FET outcome so was thinking of maybe trying something to boost my chances. I don't even remember what my lining was at when I did my fresh transfer. Somehow that whole part of my life is a big blur right now.

Hello everyone! I will also be starting an FET cycle in April. My day 1 should be around March 24th and I'm doing a natural cycle. This should mean I will be transferring around April 6th.

I'm currently "just" starting back on acupuncture, eating a paleo diet, taking a pregvit multi vitamin (prescription) with extra folic acid, as well as taking vitamin d and omega 3. I've been horrible after my failed cycle in January!

Silly question: I have been reading some good things about baby asprins...I'm wondering if I should take one a day to increase my chance of conceiving? Anyone have experience with this?

I had my funded IVF cycle last March with a fresh transfer that ended in a chemical and then in January had an FET which resulted in BFN. I have no children, just fur babies; but, I hope to change that soon! It's nice to meet you all and share in the ups and downs of all this together flow.gif

So I got the final call from the lab today and only 3 of my 15 eggs made it to day 5 blasts, the rest stopped growing.  Feeling pretty disappointed to have started off with so many eggs, only to have 40% of them damaged during ICSI, and then only have 3 out of the 9 that survived ICSI to survive to day 5.  Now to wait 2 weeks to hear from the lab as to whether or not they are genetically normal.  This process is brutal and I'm having a super hard time feeling positive about it all today.

BayB Dreams: I'm so sorry to hear that the number of your eggs dropped to only 3. We had the same. I had 14 eggs retrieved but only 4 made it to 5 day blasts. So there's still hope that all 3 of your embryos will make it too!

Is there an over the counter baby asprin that you all recommend? Do I take it only once daily? Do I start now? Or closer to the transfer?

Real3D - I haven't had lining issues but I do 8 sessions of acupuncture prior to my FETs, which I've heard has some benefits.

Welcome Hoping&Praying - I am also expecting day 1 to be around March 24th so our timelines will be similar. How many frozen embryos do you have from your funded cycle? As for aspirin I would definitely speak with your RE before starting any medication, including 81mg ASA. There's no particular brand that you need to buy as it's all the same medication (acetylsalicylic acid). It sounds like you are taking all the usual supplements and I've heard great success stories from women who did natural cycles. Good luck! smile.png

BabyB - I'm so sorry you're having a hard time feeling positive. Have you heard any feedback from your clinic about why so many embryos were lost during the ICSI process? 3 out of 9 making it to blast sounds pretty average, but I know it's still a disappointing number for you especially considering how many you started with. This process is so stressful and the waiting is killer. I hope the next two weeks fly by for you!

BabyB - I'm so sorry to hear your results. I only had 1 embryo from 13 mature eggs. I feel your frustration. Fingers crossed you get great PGS results.

AFM I'm at 8mm and we scheduled the transfer for next Wednesday. I decided to pass on the matris ultrasound. I didn't want it to psych me out if the score was low and we have done everything possible for my lining to get this thick so I can't see it ever being better. My RE was fine with my decision. We're using embryo glue and I didn't even question it. As long as the embryo thaws properly I'll finally get to transfer! I'm super excited as this is our first transfer.

Jcharbs, sorry to hear about your failed FET, hoping this next one is successful!

Bayb dreams, sorry only 3 made it to blast. I know how painful it is to see those numbers drop. I had 11 eggs retrieved, only 4 mature, 3 or 4 fertilized. By day 3 only 3 left, transferred 1 (chemical) and 1 made it to day 5 and frozen. Fingers crossed they test healthy!

Schlepp great that your lining is cooperating! I don't think estrace made me too moody last time I was on it. Although I took it right before AF, so I would have been moody either way.

Real 3D I've never had issues with lining before, so never done anything to specifically target increasing lining thickness. But acupuncture is supposed to help, and maybe pomegranate juice and red rasp tea, and aspirin. That's what I remember seeing people talking about, but not 100% sure.

Hoping and praying, welcome! You sound super similar to us. Had a chemical on our fresh funded cycle. Will be doing a natural FET. No babies but plenty of fur babies (1 dog 3 cats). And we keep falling off the good eating bandwagon too! Trying to do gluten free and reduced sugar. Good luck to you! Not really sure about the aspirin. I asked my doctor if I could/should take it and he didn't want me to.

Cycle day 1 for me today so I have started Estrace again which I will be taking twice daily until further instruction after my lining check on April 4th.  In the meantime, just trying to not think about the disappointment of all my little embryos that didn't make it to blast and hoping the 3 that did come back with normal CCS results.  Got a jump start on Spring cleaning to keep myself busy and distracted.  Haven't been feeling too great, I'm assuming all the stims and Provera are to blame for that - the things we go through to make our baby dreams come true!

How's everyone else doing?

I transferred today! My beta is April 5. This is my first 2ww and we only had that one embryo...so, no pressure! Now trying to fill up my calendar for the next two weeks to take my mind off it all. I did acupuncture before and after as well as embryo glue. Feel like I've done my part and it is now up to the embryo.

That's so exciting schlepp!!  I hope you are able to keep yourself busy and find some peace and calm over the next 2 weeks :)  I've never heard of embryo glue before but sounds like it couldn't hurt - the stickier the better!

Good luck schlepp! Hope that embryo gets nice and cosy.

I started my Estrace on Monday and have to wait another 8 days for my lining check. That feels like forever right now... I find myself to be a little irritable at the moment. Trying not to freak out on anyone at work, but that's hard given all the bulls.hit I deal with on a daily basis. I find I have just enough patience to last me until my son goes to bed, and then I want to chill and not interact with anyone. I forgot how crazy hormones can be.
