one of my tubes is blocked and the other is damaged too.

I'm curious if anyone in this fet round had tubal issues? I'm set to get one removed in a few days. Wondering if anyone else had it done?

Did your RE give you a reason why you were doing IVf if they didn't rule out tubal?

My story is a mess - I had to push my GP to send me to an RP because after researching my issues (hashimoto, thyroid, prolactin and LH) I felt  like I needed to consult with one (This was AFTER my IVF).  When I went to the clinic the Dr. ran a bunch of tests and told me that I did not ovulate and even if I did, that I would not produce a good egg, because of my hormone levels.  He said getting pregnant on our own was very unlikely.  I had already been bbting and purchased ovulation kits which I though had indicated that I ovulated, but trusted him.

When my Naturopath saw the same blood-work - he said that he thought I WAS ovulating.  We chose to trust the clinic and moved forward with IVF - After when I got in to see the RE, he asked me why I hadn't tried clomid and had my tubes checked? (He was looking at the bloodwork from the clinic)  I told him what I had been told and he showed me my blood work and showed me that I DO ovulate...

I then called my GP and said I have an OBGYN (at the clinic) that says that I don't ovulate and won't be able to conceive on my own and a Reproductive Endocrinologist that says that I do ovulate, she said that by looking at my blood work, she thinks that I DO ovulate.  So I had to fight with the clinic to get an HSG done - but they booked it through the hospital and in NB wait times can suck, so it just happened to fall right before my FET.  If we don't do the FET right now, we will have to spend $1,000 more to store the embryos  - so that is where I am at right now.  I just want to see if there is a blockage...might give me some hope if there is :-)

Oh my that sounds like quite a journey! But hopefully you get some answers or just pregnant this round! Yeah if they are blocked it's better because some places need them to go like mine. Mine are swollen full of fluid because of where they are blocked. I wish you luck! All of us actually!

hi everyone, I am scheduled for my third FET at the beginning of March. Our second FET was in November which resulted in a chemical pregnancy. We are using donor eggs, and hoping to transfer 2 embryos.

My protocol is: BCP, lupron, Viagra, estrogen patches, baby aspirin, hcg, medrol, PIO. My issue is a lining issue and Viagra has seemed to be the only thing that works. Last cycle, I also was on Vitamin E, B12, thyroid meds (both prescription and supplement), castor oil packs, fertility yoga and exercise.

Wishing everyone the best of luck this cycle.

Me 43, DH 43

Trying since 2012

Natural Pregnancy May 2012, ended blighted ovum

Natural Pregnancy June 2013, miscarriage 6 weeks (chemical pregnancy)

Natural Pregnancy January 2014, miscarriage 8 weeks

IVF Pregnancy December 2016, miscarriage 4 weeks (chemical pregnancy)
IVF Pregnancy May 2017, 1st beta May 23 hcg 3,290, 2nd beta May 25 th_abfp.gif

First clinic 2012-2014

Second clinic 2014-present

Dx: diminished ovarian reserve; thin lining

Unsuccessful protocols: estrace, estradot patches, gonal f, natural cycle

Lining gets to 8.0 mm

Using donor eggs

FET attempts 15, transferred 4 times (2 BFN, 2 BFP), cycles canceled 11.

IUI attempts 2 (2 BFN)

Successful protocol for lining: estradot patches, Viagra

Successful protocol for FET: medrol, lovenox, PIO

Our issue is tubal as well.  They wouldn't let us proceed with IVF until my blocked tube was removed because the fluid can back up and cause early miscarriage.  I elected to have my other tube removed at the same time since it was already partially blocked and I didn't want to end up having to have another surgery down the line. recovery was easy and didn't affect my cycles at all.

Ahh I'm doing a natural cycle so I have no date. My date is whenever my body says it is. It wasnt too bad the last time. Pretty much exactly in line with my normal period and ovulation date.

Hopeharder- I now can't help but wonder if that's what happened with my first IVF? They found lots of fluid in me and had to drain like 3 times !!!!

ladies: I am wondering if your clinics check your estrogen and perogestron level before transfer? my previous cycles they were not checked but wondering how we are sure their dosage is enough?

Because I am doing a natural cycle. All they follow is my lining and I do ovulation kits and follicle growth. When I get smiley face I call and 5 days after that transfer. It's super easy but more ultrasounds.

My FET is covered so I can only do a single transfer. When I did my fresh cycle we transferred 2 embryos and honestly, in retrospect, I don't think I could have handled twins! I wish I could do a natural cycle but since my clinic is 4 hours away, a medicated cycle gives us more control with respect to timing. I can do the early monitoring closer to home, but it takes about 1 day for them to get the results.

Hi All - May I join your group? My FET is around March 18th. I should know about my protocol by tomorrow.

I have a long protocol it seems like. They want me on bcp for 2 weeks and 2 weeks on lupron.

I only have 1 frozen baby (3AA) ... hopefully it's my lucky baby.

My current supplements are:

- Prenatal

- NAC

- Vitamin D

- Ubiquinol

- Asprin

I also want to start acupuncture starting next week. Any experience with fertility acupuncture?

I absolutely love acupuncture! I think it's great with fertility treatments and stress too. We all know how stressful this whole process can be. Where about are you in Canada.

We are most likely transferring two blasts. We had a failed day 3 fresh and a failed day 5 fet so we have the option to transfer two.

Hello everyone, I hope you don't mind me joining in. I just found out that we will be doing our second transfer mid March. We are doing a natural cycle, single embryo transfer. CD1 is due to arrive on the 24th. I am currently taking prenatal and omega, I just called my acupuncturist to book me in. It's a little short notice, but if I can start that this week, that would be ideal.

I was part of the December FET group. If you'd like me to make a list and keep track of everyones tentative transfer date, I don't mind. I find it helpful for us to keep everyone's dates straight, Let me know if you're interested, or if you'd rather not, that's ok to.
Sticky thoughts and baby dust to us all.

I had fluid after my first ivf mild ohss. They actually saw it in the ultrasound in sept when preparing for fet at end of October.
I know swollen tubes can cause fluid. But other than that not too sure.
