Tentatively joining in. I was going to try a mock cycle first but am getting impatient as I was away and missed CD1 in January to start it. I think I'm going to move on to the medicated cycle as I've been on over two months of supplements for my thin lining (yes, I'm doing acupuncture etc. as well). My CD1 should be around Jan 28 and I'm doing estrogen patches and viagara this go round.

Good luck to everyone!

ME: 38 39 age appropriate AMH (14pmol/1.96ng), 7-8 FSH, AFC ~20
DH: male factor (using PESA/TESA)

June 2016 IVF w/ICSI, frozen PESA sample: 13 mature eggs - 4 fertilized - 1 day 5 blast frozen

Low fertilization blamed on quality post-thaw of PESA sample: motility went from 44% to 4%, morphology 21% to 4%.

FET November 2016 - Cancelled

CD 13 lining check 5mm after 10 days of 3x4mg estrace, CD 17 still 5mm. Cycle cancelled.

Nov 2016 to Jan 2017 - acupuncture and supplements for thin lining

Feb 2017 - FET cycle w/estrogen patches and viagara

Welcome Skroeze And Schlepp!

DH: 39 - MF, low motility, low count

Me: 40 - lining issues, hx of polyps and fibroids

TTC since 2008.

Started IVF journey in 2012, 3 fresh cycles and 3 FET attempts with first RE resulted in 3 BFNs and 3 cancelled transfers. No BFPs, no chemicals, never even seen a double line on HPT. cry.gif

Changed REs in 2015.  Repeated all tests and decided to bank embryos for PGS testing due to history of BFNs.  After 3 cycles and PGS testing - finally achieved 2 PGS normal embryos. banana.gifbanana.gif RE suggested ERA testing to determine implantation window. Mock cycle in May 2016 and July 2016, receptive results showing that 7 days of progesterone support required.

FET attempt #1 with new RE - Sept 2016: cancelled due to pharmacy med mixup th_agrr.gif

FET attempt #2 with new RE - Nov 2016: cancelled again - lining not trilaminar eusa_wall.gif

FET #3 with new RE - Feb 2017 eusa_pray.gif - suppression check and removed nuvaring on Jan 12th.  To start delestrogen injections Jan 16th.

Welcome ladies!

How is everyone doing? I'm wondering if we should start a list of where everyone is at? I'll see if I can get some time tomorrow or tonight and do it 😬

For myself I started superfact nasal spray yesterday. So far all is going well. I did have a massive hot flash that I'm telling myself is from the midcation lol.
My mid cycle spotting stopped a couple days ago. Clinic told me it's common and can't be sure of why it happened. I am wondering if I have any ovarian cysts though. My right side yesterday and today has been painful.

Gfrench- how are you doing? This cycle seems so long compared to the fresh cycle hey! When do you anticipate AF?
Also do you know when we start the ASA? I wasn't sure if I was supposed to start with my superfact or not.

Hope everyone is gearing up for a great weekend.

Wishful09, I've been on low dose aspirin since November when I started birth control. You should ask your clinic to be sure, but I think you should be on it soon.

Hey Wishful. I was told to start ASA with the Superfact.
I'm doing pretty good. On Day 4 of superfact. No side effects yet :-)
I expect AF on Jan 23. I'm still on bcp too so I'm pretty confident in that date. Cycle is seeming long, but I appreciate not needing to go get those numbers for u/s so early in the am!!

Yes thank goodness I got the green light! I removed Nuvaring which is the method of birth control I was on, and I'll be starting delestrogen injections on the 16th. Next check is a blood test on Jan 22.
What is your next step? What happens on the 20th? I've never taken synarel before what does that do?

@HFLO My next step is a lining check on January 20th to see how i'm progressing. Likely i will need another week or so before we can confirm a transfer date. Synarel, similar to birth control or lupon shots is another way of turning off the ovaries so you don't ovulate or produce progesterone on your own when cycling. Good thing is it's just a nasal spray :)

Anxiously awaiting the appointment.

Wishing: that makes sense and good thing it's not an injection! Are you taking estrogen to thicken your lining?

Time seems to be moving so slowly right now! I'll be starting estrogen injections tomorrow evening.

Hey ladies! I noticed a few of you are doing your cycles at the Ottawa Clinic! We are starting our first IVF cycle at the Ottawa clinic next month, hopefully :)

We had our phone interview a few weeks ago. Just wondering when i should expect the scheduling nurse to contact me? We are traveling from Newfoundland! As silly as it sounds, I'm afraid they will forget about us and never call. Crazy i know lol!

Thanks :)

Lnewfoundland: welcome and good luck on your first cycle. And it doesn't sound crazy that you're worried about them forgetting about you. I've been around the IVF block for awhile now and I've learned you have to stay on top of things and not be afraid to advocate for yourself or ask questions. Ive heard stories and personally experienced the clinic dropping the ball. If you're cycling next month you should have your calendar by now. Did they put you on birth control?
Vicchick: I started estrogen today too! But my estimated transfer date isn't until Feb 7th. I have a blood test on Jan 22 and then lining check on Feb 1st. I've been cancelled many times before so I won't breathe easy until after the appointment on Feb 1st.

Hi ladies

Anyone else gearing up for a February FET? I was initially on the Jan FET forum however our transfer won't be until February 13th or so.

I just got AF today and will start my Superfact on January 12th! We will be transferring one day 6 blast, we have two frozen. One is 4AA the other 4AB quality. Our Dr. stated being they had to go to day 6 to make the blast stage they are considered "medium" quality even though the grading is great.

Anyone else have success with having to wait until blast made it to day 6 and then have a successful cycle?

Hi Wishful!

I think we are with the same clinic (RFP) and wondering how you found out your embryo grading because they've never told us!  We had a failed FET in December, so are gearing up for Feb or Mar depending on when AF arrives.

Our last FET in 2014 gave us a beautiful healthy baby girl, and was a day 6 or 7 slow mover blast to my understanding, but again I don't know what they graded the embryo for quality.  We've got 2 of the same stage of embryos left so I'm crossing everything that the next transfer takes!!!

Hi Capricorn85
I am from RFP! Sorry to hear about your failed cycle, it never is easy!
The only reason i know our embryo grading is because I asked at mymfollow up appt. I was really disappointed to learn that our blasts were considered medium quality bc it took them a bit longer to get to blast stage. So I was curious on grading which was great! I'm happy to hear you've had success from 6/7 day blasts!
Did you do a fresh cycle at all?

We did a fresh cycle many many years ago at the start of this all.... got a BFP but bleeding had started even by that point already so we pretty much knew it wouldn't stick.  Beta levels dropped within a few days.

I can't decide if I want to know about embryo grading or how to go about finding out now!  Looks like we'll be trying again end of February but they want to do both that are left in the freezer and I'm so nervous!!!

Yup GFrench, I can relate, I've been on that bumpy ride this week. Don't be too hard on yourself, our DH's get it pretty easy during this whole process compared to us, so I'm sure they can handle the turbulence, it's more important that we let it out and not keep it bottled up!
