Hi ladies

Anyone else gearing up for a February FET? I was initially on the Jan FET forum however our transfer won't be until February 13th or so.

I just got AF today and will start my Superfact on January 12th! We will be transferring one day 6 blast, we have two frozen. One is 4AA the other 4AB quality. Our Dr. stated being they had to go to day 6 to make the blast stage they are considered "medium" quality even though the grading is great.

Anyone else have success with having to wait until blast made it to day 6 and then have a successful cycle?

Hi ladies,
I'm scheduled for FET in February as well. I've had a lot of setbacks along the way, so I just take it one step at a time now. I'm currently on nuvaring for suppression and my first appointment will be on Jan 12th for ultrasound and bloodwork. I was previously on a different site (fertile thoughts forum) but it stopped working for me so it will take me a while to learn this site and add my signature.

ETA: FET is frozen embryo transfer. Fresh is when you transfer immediately following a IVF cycle.

DH: 39 - MF, low motility, low count

Me: 40 - lining issues, hx of polyps and fibroids

TTC since 2008.

Started IVF journey in 2012, 3 fresh cycles and 3 FET attempts with first RE resulted in 3 BFNs and 3 cancelled transfers. No BFPs, no chemicals, never even seen a double line on HPT. cry.gif

Changed REs in 2015.  Repeated all tests and decided to bank embryos for PGS testing due to history of BFNs.  After 3 cycles and PGS testing - finally achieved 2 PGS normal embryos. banana.gifbanana.gif RE suggested ERA testing to determine implantation window. Mock cycle in May 2016 and July 2016, receptive results showing that 7 days of progesterone support required.

FET attempt #1 with new RE - Sept 2016: cancelled due to pharmacy med mixup th_agrr.gif

FET attempt #2 with new RE - Nov 2016: cancelled again - lining not trilaminar eusa_wall.gif

FET #3 with new RE - Feb 2017 eusa_pray.gif - suppression check and removed nuvaring on Jan 12th.  To start delestrogen injections Jan 16th.

Hi Ladies.. I'm hoping 4th time is the charm for me. Started Synarel nasal spray today after a blood test to confirm I have ovulated.

I haven't had to downreg before but last round I ended up having to cancel my FET because my body decided to ovulate naturally. I'm hoping I don't have too many side effects. From what I'm reading water intake is important to keep up.

Any other tips from you ladies that may have already taken Synarel in past cycles?

All the best to all of you smile.png Love seeing cycle buddies already <3

Hi Wishful!

I think we are with the same clinic (RFP) and wondering how you found out your embryo grading because they've never told us!  We had a failed FET in December, so are gearing up for Feb or Mar depending on when AF arrives.

Our last FET in 2014 gave us a beautiful healthy baby girl, and was a day 6 or 7 slow mover blast to my understanding, but again I don't know what they graded the embryo for quality.  We've got 2 of the same stage of embryos left so I'm crossing everything that the next transfer takes!!!

Found out yesterday that we have have 2- 4bb embryos and 1 5bb - this was a surprise as we thought that we only had 2 left!  I don't think my FET will be until March or April, as I need to balance out my thyroid first.  Found out that I do ovulate on day 21 - getting my tubes checked for blockage on Feb 13.  SO excited to feel like things are moving along! I was a bit down in December, but am now feeling ready to get this going again!

Sending good vibes to everyone!

Hi Capricorn85
I am from RFP! Sorry to hear about your failed cycle, it never is easy!
The only reason i know our embryo grading is because I asked at mymfollow up appt. I was really disappointed to learn that our blasts were considered medium quality bc it took them a bit longer to get to blast stage. So I was curious on grading which was great! I'm happy to hear you've had success from 6/7 day blasts!
Did you do a fresh cycle at all?

Welcome to everyone else!

Gfrench - glad to hear we are starting this together again lol! I start meds Jan 12th. I find it odd we are days apart when I think my AF was a few days before yours. Hope they have my date right. Will you be starting on cycle day 21? This protocol seems so long compared to the last fresh cycle we did! I'm just glad to be getting started again! One wk to go!

Hi WIshful!
It is odd that they have me starting the 10th, but I feel like it's my date that's weird. I saw day 21 on the online timeline too, but they've told me to start day 18. I'm also on bcp (started day 5 the last 2 cycles) so maybe that's the difference. I'm also hoping to delay transfer to at least the 17th. When I last spoke to the nurse she indicated that was possible and dates are more flexible with the FET. My husband is away until the 17th and i really don't want him to miss it.
We're planning to just transfer 1, but I had them put a note on my file that if the first embryo doesn't survive thaw or it doesn't look viable to move to try two for the transfer.

Hi Everyone,

I am joining this board for the first time.  I am a single woman, gathering up the courage to do my first FET (I have one, 5BB blast).  My clinic requires me to travel, so this adds some additional stress, as you can imagine and they have not been that helpful with giving me an advance picture of what to expect so hoping to fill in the gaps here.  Any advice you have on what dates are best to plant on being on location, would be appreciated.

The proposal is to start me on estrace  and progesterone suppositories once I ovulate but I would be on nothing but baby aspirin until then.  I am turning 48 this month so that seems to me to be very little?  What have others over 40 experienced?

If all goes well, I think that would probably put my transfer somewhere between feb 1 - feb 4 so I think I might likely overlap with Wishful09, ETA and Vicchick33:)

WIshful - just wanted to let you know I confirmed with the clinic and the reason for my earlier start day for superfact is because they've had me on birth control.

Capricorn- I'm also at RFP. I wasn't told my blast quality either. But I'm confident they wouldn't have frozen any they didn't think were viable. And considering how many we lost from day 3 to 5/6 I'm thinking they are very picky.

Hello everyone else!!!

Hi Ladies.. I got my period yesterday we are officially all systems go! I am now on CD 2 and my clinic has gave me the OK to add Esterace once a day for 5 days, then up it to 2x a day for 5 then up to 3 x a day for 4. Lining check will be on January 20th. With my history I am guessing i will need another week after that as well, but will hope for the best and wait and see.

I thought it was time we started a list of our group so far, I tried to add all names/next big milestones please feel free to update and add as needed. Let's keep a list going so as we start gearing up we can keep track :) **Sending everyone positive energy.**

Thanks Wishingforthatbump.  My estimated transfer date is also around Feb 2nd.  Are you doing lupon and BCP or are you just starting on estrace?  I saw that they have you starting on day 2 and I am wondering why my clinic would have me wait until I ovulate to start meds?

TryinginBC - we'll be transferring around the same day - Feb 2! There are different protocols so maybe that why you are starting meds later?

My last transfer I only used estrace and progesterone after I ovulated too. This time I have a long protocol with bcp, lupron and then estrace, aspirin and progesterone.

FYI - if you are taking estrace and/or progesterone vaginally I would recommend wearing a pad ...gets pretty messy! And if you are doing estrace vaginally don't be surprised by a blueish green discharge!

@TryininDC No Lupron or BCP for me I started Synarel after ovulation last cycle (day 18, Dec 27) one spray in the morning and one in the evening. Now adding Estrace as of Day 1, Jan 6. Will be increasing Estrace 2mg every 5 days until my Jan 20th ultrasound

I had a FET originally scheduled for Dec however it was cancelled because I ended up ovulating, usually just Estrace will prevent it but my ovaries were super strong that month so the cycle in December was cancelled and set for longer protocol this time around. The reason they don't want you to ovulate before a FET is because they will be giving you progesterone and when you ovulate you start producing progesterone on your own and it's hard to then say exactly when the body started producing the progesterone and it throws the calculations off on how much is the right amount for you before/after your transfer. When they told me they were going to have to cancel my Dec 7th transfer because of ovulation one of my first thoughts were "Well I'm pretty sure I won't be able to get pregnant naturally so can we just keep going?" and then they explained it to me. :P

@Vicchick33 - Totally agree! My FET in June i had to end up doing Estrace vaginally on top of the oral supplements and the vaginal progesterone. Very messy. I was constantly changing liners. Have you started meds yet at all?

My estimate is my transfer will likely end up being around the same as you two ladies as well, since this is a new protocol for me I don't want to get my hopes up so will just wait patiently for my Jan 20th appointment for now.

Wishingforthatbump: thanks for making the list so we can keep track of each other! My November cycle got cancelled because the lining didn't look ideal, it wasn't triple stripe and the RE said he thought it might have been exposed to progesterone. So we cancelled and he put me on birth control for an extra long time, which is why I didn't transfer sooner. I hope that I'm nicely suppressed on Thursday.

Wishingforthatbump - yes. I took bcp for about 16 days and have now been on lupron for 5 days! I feel good. I've had a few dull headaches, but I'm prone to them anyways.

HFLO - I will be transferring after 6 days of progesterone this time. Last transfer we did after 7 days and it was a BFN so my RE is adjusting it a little bit.

Vicchick: I'm confused because your signature says your lining was postreceptive, meaning that you should have fewer days of progesterone? How many days of progesterone did you take for your ERA cycle? Did the doctor not recommend repeating the process and doing another biopsy to determine which day you are receptive? Mock cycles are time consuming and it sucks to be on the meds when there is no transfer or chance of bfp at the end of th cycle, but we felt it was a safer option than gambling with our two frozen embryos.

Hi ladies!

Hope everyone is doing well and having a great start to the week!!

I have a quick question for you ladies. Has anyone ever dealt with mid-cycle spotting? Mine started about 5 days ago (around cycle day 15 of a 31 day cycle). It's been fairly consistent and just real light spotting, sometimes brown or light light pink. I first thought I may have had some ovarian cysts rupturing from the IVF round and it was possibly this, but we are going on day 5 and nothing has changed. I've had no cramping and not really much for ovarian pain or twinges.

I did call the clinic a few days ago and the nurse told me sometimes this happens and to call back if it gets any heavier. I did call today and left a message so I'll see what happens. I'm 2 days away from starting my superfact! I'm praying this doesn't delay or cancel our treatment this month!

HFLO - thanks for pointing that out. That's just me misunderstanding the terms. Neither doctor I spoke to recommended doing a second biopsy....I'm not even sure it was a true ERA . I didn't pay anything for it....did you pay for yours?

Wishful09: I've experienced mid cycle spotting before and it didn't interfere with the cycle. Hope that's the case for you too!
Vicchick: yes I paid for the mock cycle monitoring, meds and biopsy. Plus a fee to the company who does the ERA testing. Then I repeated the whole thing, and paid all the same fees the second time, but that time I got a receptive result. I can't recall how much I paid, and I haven't had a chance to transfer since then. But I'm praying it was all worth it!

Hi ladies!
I just had my suppression check this morning at my local clinic. They will send the bloodwork results and ultrasound report to my RE today. Hopefully I can get the green light to start the FET protocol!
Any updates from anyone else?
