I'm feeling fine, normal I guess.  I've got no additional symptoms and the ones I do have are the ones I typically get from the endometrium so it's hard to know what's what anymore.

Returnable, Have you heard anything more on the donor egg application?

We are going this week to see the doctor that will do our assessment. I'm assuming a mock cycle will take the longest as my RE will most likely choose a long protocol. Hopefully they will start me on the protocol at my next AF so we can get this process started. Not sure if I'll have to repeat uterus imaging and what else is involved yet. Just a game of waiting....like always as you very well know through this whole journey. :)

Have you ever had issues with lining or any of your blood work levels? Or I wonder if that doesn't matter sometimes and that protocols are Dr. preferences....  Either way, I'm hoping this isn't another long drawn out process for you.  The way I read into it, it shouldn't be too many hoops to jump through before you're transferring your embryo - I'm really REALLY routing for you.

My lining thickness was around 8 during both IVF cycles and last u/s nurse said my lining looked great and tri-laminar. Hopefully off the IVF meds my lining will still be good. I never had any hormone level issues either, so here's hoping...

I wonder if you could do a mock natural cycle while waiting to start the next phase?  I mean only if you can't do your embryo transfer next cycle and it doesn't affect your potential schedule.  Just to see what your body does on it's own?

Even though this is our last cycle I almost want to get a naturally monitored cycle later just to see if my body has changed because of all the meds or if it just goes back to how it was before.  It's crazy how the human body can be controlled so precisely with medications!

Sunnyskies - this protocol went way better than last time, it seems like it matured more follicles which is good. It was called that agonist/antagonist protocol.

Impatiently waiting - this cycle has been going okay better than the last one that's for sure

AFM - sorry I have been absent. I had an ultrasound on Saturday morning and 8 follicles were looking pretty good and around the same size and today I went for another ultrasound and it looks like I only have 4 mature follicles and the rest have to keep growing. We have decided we are converting to a super-ovulation IUI this time and keep on trying too see it we get the right # of follicles next time. I trigger tonight and then I go in on Wednesday morning and get the IUI. So I am hoping it works. It is only a 20% chance but at least it's something. It's a risk for quadruplets and for my health also but we are willing to take that risk.

Marbear good luck! I am glad you were able to grow more this time compared to last.

Impatiently waiting. I will see what the doctor says on Thursday. I feel like we are at the mercy of whatever they want to do but suggesting a shorter cycle for the mock cycle sounds like a reasonable suggestion to them as I will not be converting the mock to the real thing (which is what you can do sometimes). Thanks for the suggestion. It's great to have perspective from someone outside my process :)

Bre how are you coping? Did you ever ask about the DNA fragmentation test for your husband?

I had some cramping Saturday night and when I tested on my frer sunday morning the line was lighter than it was the previous day. I asked my RE and clinic if I could do another beta and they declined and told me to wait till my ultrasound on the 27th. I went in to my family doctor who did do the draw and hcg was down to 172 (was at 332) on Friday, so I guess I am out. Probably a CP.

We will probably wait till June to transfer to do a FET.

Marbear: Good luck with the super IUI! How did it go today? Does your RE have a specific number in mind for the number of follicles? I know we discussed with our doctor when to not go forward with egg retrieval if there would be 3 or less follicles. Curious what the number will be for you.

Returnable: good luck with the appointment tomorrow. Even though it is a loooong process, every appointment is a step closer to your goal.

Returnable- thanks!! Yes I'm glad I grew way more this time this protocol seemed to work way better! Hope your doing well!

Sunnyskies - it went good today, since Friday I have been spotting which is weird. I talked to the nurse today and she said it could be the increase of the estrogen in my body and that's why I am bleeding and also could be just discomfort from the U/S. when we talked to him in november he did mention about if we didn't have enough eggs just to go to super-ovulation he didn't say a specific # though. My hubby and I just decided if it's under 6 we are not going to do IVF. Just have to wait for that right month.

AFM - I am actually is a lot of pain after my IUI and it's still happening right now. I am assuming because my body is releasing 4 mature follicles is why it hurts so hopefully tomorrow morning I will be kind of back to normal. :) I take my BETA test on April 9th so we are hoping for a positive but we are also ready if it's not and what the next steps are.

Hope everyone is doing well!

Pandora - I'm sorry about the results.  It kind of irks me that the clinic wouldn't send you for another beta, sometimes I truly wonder what their thought processes are.  I'm glad you've got a plan moving forward - I wish you the best.

Marbear - Now the dreaded 2ww starts.  Hopefully you start feeling better soon.  Is it possible you got a mild case OHSS?
