Happy new year to all!

Amp i wanted to ask you how did you gind out what you're having so early on? I cant seem to convince my clinic to do the scan eatlier than 20 weeks

I paid for the harmony blood test which can tell the sex as early as 12 weeks.  I don't think they can see the sex on ultrasound until around 19 weeks.

Good to know, everyone is doing well :)

Ladies, who did get the NT scan, for the second part of the test-which is IPS2 blood test and scan at 20 weeks. I have a requisition for blood test-IPS2 and for the us and have a Hospital form, not sure if I have to submit the form to the blood lab after the u/s tech fills in the baby's measurements.?

For the first part-12 week scan, I was asked to get the scan done and then submit the hospital form to blood lab once the u/s tech fills in the info like measurements and all.

For my last appt, my doctor's office asked me to get IPS2 blood test at 16 weeks and then anatomy scan at 20 weeks.Confused as to when I have to submit the form and if it is to be given to the blood lab or u/s tech. And my doctor's office is closed, until Monday.

Hey Ladies, happy New Years! Sorry I haven't logged on for a while. I'm finally starting to feel better. Nausea is subsiding. We're only 15 days away from our anatomy scan, they've booked it for when I'll be 18 weeks, 5 days, so I'm really hoping they can confirm the sex for us. And obviously confirm it's healthy and all!! For the last week or so I've been feeling occasional fluttering. Is anyone else feeling that? I've read it could be baby starting to kick.

breezeyboo - Interesting.  They always just told me not until 19/20 weeks but I never needed a scan between 12 and 20 so maybe they just don't want people going early if they don't need to?  I liked knowing early to start organizing and planning.  :)

Binks - No idea, sorry.  I just bring the forms and get the tests and they take care of whatever needs to be done with them.

ML888 - Glad you are feeling a bit better!  I feel some flutters and tightness now and then.  Usually for a first pregnancy, you don't feel the baby move until around 20 weeks and for a subsequent pregnancy it can be earlier (around 17 weeks or so) according to my midwife.  But it also depends on where the placenta is and how big you are, I think.  I don't know.  I like to think it is little kicks, even if it isn't.  I find this the awkward part of pregnancy.  Not so new that you are super in shock and excited and not showing enough or feeling enough to really feel pregnant.  I just feel like I ate too much over the holidays lol.  :)  It will be exciting for the anatomy scans!  Since I saw the midwife yesterday, I got to hear the heartbeat, so that was reassuring.

VO16 - That's too bad :(  Wish they would have been more accomodating for you.

Hi guys, I've been reading and following along but haven't posted yet. Have had a tough time lately. Anyways I am 18 weeks as of tomorrow with my first pregnancy after my third FET. I just wanted to ask any of you if you know much about SCH. I had some bleeding twice now but nothing in the last month. My last ultrasound two days ago shows I have four of them now instead of two as previous and they've grown as well. I'm being referred to another fertility clinic out of town which apparently has a higher resolution ultrasound machine. I'm just getting worried because I haven't seen an obgyn yet and am just seeing my nurse practitioner in the meantime. So I'm kind of in between right now. Any advice or stories to tell? I'm an emotional basket case lately because I lost my mom to cancer five weeks ago too so I've been under a LOT of stress.

TTC since December 2012

Me-35, 36,37, 38 PCOS,  DH- slightly low morphology

Hysteroscopic Myomectomy to remove fibroid April 2014

6 IUI's all BFN (clomid, gonal f, bravelle, natural)

1 IUI cancelled due to ovulating too soon

1st IVF cycle June 2015-FREEZE ALL-progesterone too high-16 eggs retrieved, nine fertilized, five frozen at day 3

FET#1 unmedicated-July 2015- CANCELLED- cyst, lining too thin, estrogen too low

Oh LJO, I am so sorry about your mom.  My mom was diagnosed with Luekemia in the Spring and it really sucks.  :(

As for SCH, I have no personal experience but do know people who had them and had bleeding throughout pregnancy.

Is there no way to get in with an OB?  Even your GP could send you to a proper ultrasound place for a scan.  I hope that you can get a better scan and discuss with someone soon.  I am not sure if fertility clinics are the best to look at pregnancies.  I know ours dismissed you at 8 weeks because their specialty is getting you pregnant and not pregnancy itself.  I am sorry that you are having this scare and hope that you get proper care and answers to put your mind at ease.  Thinking of you!!!

*hugs*

Anyone feeling baby movements? I am 18 weeks and I did feel some flutters few days back, but from last 2 days not feeling the flutters. I am getting really worried and hoping baby is fine. My anatomy scan is on the 27th.I am thinking if I should go to emergency or just wait till my u/s.

It's early go feel consistent movements. Lots of people don't feel anything until 20+ weeks. I feel flutters now and then but you feel earlier second pregnancy. I am 20w on Tues. Last time, indidnt really feel regular kicks until 25 weeks or so.

I am 18 weeks now felt a few flutters the other day but lots of days I don't feel anything, I heard some people don't feel until 25 weeks everyone is different. I wouldn't be too concerned. We just had an appt and heard the heartbeat so know all is good! I think we are all just anxious to feel the movements etc

Binks- Its normal. Buy a home doppler but dont go to the ER. Sorry I'm just sympathetic to people that work in the ER bc I have friends that do. They are busy enough, and worn out. People coming in for non-life-threatening or not true emergencies takes away from the patients that are critical and that need their care.

*hugs*[/quote]

Sorry Amp, I should have explained myself better. I do have an appt with an obgyn but not until Feb 22. In the meantime I'm seeing my family Dr. They spoke to my future ob and she sent the requisition for me to go to this other clinic for the higher resolution scan. Apparently this fertility clinic isn't just a fertility clinic. I didn't know that at the time but they have state of the art equipment. I guess they'll look at the results and potentially get me in sooner to my ob depending on the results. I was dismissed by my fertility clinic at 8 weeks as well.
I am so sorry you guys are going through this with your mom as well. My heart goes out to your family. If you ever want to talk please feel free to pm me. Infertility is hard to deal with but losing a parent or watching them suffer with sickness is also devastating.

I am not feeling any baby movements at all yet at just over 18 weeks. I am looking forward to it but wondering what the heck it's going to feel like and will I even recognize it.

I hope that you get your scan and results soon.  It is crappy that you don't see an OB for so long!!!  Will you be having a 20 week scan?  Did your GP send you for that?  Mine is this week.

Honestly, at first, I didn't know the kind of flutters and things were baby movement.  It just feels like a little twinge, or maybe a msucle spasm or something. Very light at first.  With my son, I really didn't feel too much until 25+ weeks.  And probably just didn't know what I was feeling.  Once they get bigger and stronger, there is no mistaking it though :)

*Fingers crossed that all is well*

And thank you.  My mom is feeling pretty well now but lots of different symptoms that we aren't at the bottom of.  6 specialists, lots of appointments.  I hope they can at least sort out a few problems that she keeps having (fluid in her lungs) and hot, swollen (but not?) infected, legs.  Those are the things that really bring her down and make it difficult for her to do everyday things.

sorry to hear about your mom amp.

AFM- I am 17 weeks now. Not feeling any movement yet. I have an at home doppler and tried to use it once a week ago and didn't hear anything but I only tried for like 10 minutes. From my previous scan, my placenta is posterior in location, so I should hear something soon. I'm not too worried though as I am taking all my other signs and symptoms as a positive thing that everything is making progress. I have gained weight, I popped and am definitely showing more this week, I am ravenous all the time and am craving very healthy stuff like fruit and veggies, I am drinking lots of water and I am still feeling tired (but more energetic that 1st trimester). I feel that going through this whole process we are so used to getting immediate results and having something to monitor or check (daily or weekly) so now that we are in a bit of a wait until our next scans... it gets us worried. But I truly hope that all of you are making your days full with activity and excitement to help get you through until your next scan or until baby movements are very distinguished.

Hey everyone!

Ljo, welcome and sorry to hear about everything you are going through. Now is the worst time to have to deal with anything like loss.

I agree with what everyone was saying about feeling movement; everyone is different. My obgyn told me this week that I don't have to start worrying about regular movement until week 28! Around week 15 I started feeling the fluttering, but it definitely wasn't consistent, would go days without feeling anything. Then towards the end of week 18 it changed to different feeling, like a slug of water or a wave. So I'm sure it's the baby moving around.

We had the most amazing ultrasound last week! Found out the we don't have a single umbilical artery (there is two, yay!!), and found out we're having a boy!! It took a while to sink in though, I was so sure it would be a girl. We are totally happy with either though :)

Hello everyone!

ML88- Yay!! Glad ur ultrasound was good

Had our anatomy scan today and the baby is doing fine and was moving all over the tech was almost chasing the baby to take measurements. It was all good news until we met the doctor after. Firstly she said I have a low lying placenta, which she said should move as pregnancy progresses. The worrisome news is that the placenta on one side is having less blood flow, which could lead to pre term birth, preeclampsia and low birth weight for the baby. I broke down when the doctor said this, she says I cant do anything to improve the situation. She said I would be closely monitored and more ultrasounds to ensure baby is growing well. I just cant stop worrying. I go for another ultrasound in 2 weeks.I feel the doc did not look hopeful about this, which makes me more nervous.
