Hi ladies am a little numb at the moment just came from my clinic appt after getting 3 faint bfp on 3 hpt's 13dp5dt and 14dp5dt and my beta hcg's 13dp5dt hcg85 the 15dp5dt hcg 162 then 19dp5dt hcg 458 my doubling time has been 2.1days to 2.7days today my fs tells me he it doesn't look good then says i want to do an ultrasound so off we go myself with high hopes he sits me down afterwards and says sorry not a viable pregnancy you are 5w 4days today and i cannot see anything stop meds and then you will just miscarry but if its ment to be the drugs wont be needed anyway 😢 what dissapointing news when my bloods are showing that they are in fact doubling has anyone had any success stories or is my fs correct i dont want to believe him still hoping for a miracle with tears flowing

I'm a little confused. Your betas were doubling in the beginning, now 2 weeks (or so) have passed and he says the ultrasound is abnormal? Is that the timeline?

I'm unfamiliar with "fs" as an abbreviation.

Have you had any more hcg's checked? What exactly did he see on ultrasound?

IVF #1: March 2016: Long protocol: Suprefact (200)/Menopur (225)

    9 follicles => 4 eggs => 3 mature => 3 fertilized (ICSI) => 2 blasts (one transferred, one frozen)

    BFN

IVF #2: June 2016: Microdose flare: Suprefact (40 BID)/Menopur (150)/ Gonal (300)

     7-10 follicles (?) => 12 mature eggs => only 4 fertilized w/ICSI => transferred 2 @ 3days and 1 blast frozen

     BFP:  day 14 beta = 93, day 18 beta 557 (37h doubling time)

     .... it stuck and we welcomed our boy March 2017!

back on this crazy journey again: June 6, 2018: FET #1...

Fs - fertility specialist

Honestly I'd wait till at least six weeks. If you have a late implanter it could be a few days that makes all the difference...

I'm sorry you're going through this. I also agree it's too early to call it, with an hcg level if 458 and being before 6 weeks you won't necessarily see anything yet on am ultrasound. I would wait a little while longer yet and check betas a few more times, if those are still going up accordingly then another scan. Hope things turn out well for you.

Sorry everyone i posted this then couldn't find it again lol yes i had my first beta hcg test at 13dp5dt and the level came back at 85 i asked the nurse that rang me so what does that mean? Her response was congrats at this stage its a positive because its higher then 50 i said ok she said just have your 2nd beta in 2 days we should know more with that one so i did my next beta hcg at 15dp5dt and the nurse rung me and said my levels have doubled to 162 but still on the low side come in and see the fertility specialist in a couple of days and if he wants you to have another beta he can send you for one so i go in he says lets do an ultrasound to see whats happening inside and i was positive this is going to show me i have nothing to worry about so high hopes i get up on the bed. He checks me out, so to speak. Sits me up and sez sorry its not a viable pregnancy i should at least see a sac at this stage he told me stop the crinone gel and just let the miscarriage take place i was just sitting there in disbelief and shock he said i hope your ok. I said actually no im not i know what you have said but i dont accept it my numbers maybe be low but they are doubling in the guidelines. He said stop the meds and if you are pregnant then it will be fine baby will continue to grow without the meds. I asked if it was clear that i am pregnant today how long would i need to take the drugs for he said at least another month i said ok lets carry on he said ill tell you what we will continue as is, for another week and you can have 2 more beta hcg tests and ill see you in a week for another ultrasound. He said go get the blood test today which was (Wednesday last week) & again friday) I walked out of his office with my sons in tow and a lil upset but faught back the tears as i didn't want to show my boys mummys upset. I thought no im not rushing in for another bloodtest just for him i will wait til the following morning (Thursday) that arvo the nurse rings and says great news your pregnant you beta hcg levels today at 19dp5dt are 458 i said thanks how come your so sure she said cause your numbers are doubling i said yesterday the doctor said its not viable as he couldn't see anything on the ultrasound then she sez yes sorry sometimes it means miscarriage stop your meds. i was like noooo i am still having another beta and and ultrasound in a week as im not convinced yet. Then she said well dont get your hopes up the fertility specialists knows what hes doing and you mist be having a miscarriage so be prepared. So to add to my already rollercoaster of emotions and having to retell the heartache to my darling husband is already hard but today i go for now my 5th beta hcg test which instead of the friday he told me to i decided with the weekend i wouldnt have got the result til the next week day which was actually today Tuesday as it was a public holiday where i live yesterday the nurse rings me with my results and at 27dp5dt my levels are now 3110 and although doubling time has slowed down to 70hours it is still doubling with in the recommended guidelines and tomorrow i go in for my 2nd ultrasound. So after writting this whole novel for you to read i have to say i am sooo nervous about tomorrow hubby and i have convinced ourselves our fertility clinic have no idea what the heck they are doing if i dont see anything on the screen im going to take it extra hard and to make things worse i have no one to watch my babies so have to take them they are fine in the waiting room but am worried i wont be able to keep it together if it isnt the news i am wanting and i dont want hubby to think i cant handle this as we have been through ivf sooo many times and everytime i haven't gotten the outcome we were hoping he says no more trying as he hates seeing me with soo much heartache

Your betas are doubling. 19dp5dt is too early to confidently see anything on ultrasound. Trust your gut feeling!! It may not be viable, but you're giving it time and every chance possible. No rush. No harm in waiting.

They say nothin is visible on US till betas are at least 2000. No idea why he would even look so early. You can't see just a few cells.
