So I had a acupuncture appointment last Friday.  I have another appointment tomorrow, and then I have one more next Friday and my FET transfer is right after on Saturday morning.  Should I book one more appointment after my FET?  I'm nervous about doing ANYTHING after the transfer other than taking my low dose aspirin and other prescribed medication like progesterone.

I had a fresh cycle IVF in June that resulted in Chemical pregnancy.  Also did Acupuncture leading up to transfer as well although my last appointment was 2 days prior to transfer whereas this appointment will be the day before transfer.

I just looked back at my FET calendar to see what I did.  I'd been doing regular acupuncture appointments leading up to FET, then the pre and post acupuncture sessions on FET day (5 day transfer), and then another acupuncture appointment two days post.  I'm not sure if it helped conceive, but I am 25 weeks pregnant with that blast.  If anything it helped me relax and visualize, instead of being tense and wondering if I'm doing everything right.  I did everything I could to make it a success and therefore no regrets.  Good luck.

My acupuncturist specializes in fertility and our schedule is cycle day 3 or 4, then 3 or 4 days later then 3 or 4 days later and the day of FET before FET and after FET so 2 on the day of.  Good luck!!!

I don't think I can do one day of transfer because my transfer (as long as my lining is thick enough when I go for my check on Monday) will be Saturday morning at 8am.  So I have a appointment booked for 4pm Friday evening. Which isn't day of but I figure its better than nothing?   But I will check with my acupuncturist and see if I can get an appointment for Saturday after my transfer?

Is that the norm?  for people to do acupuncture right after?  I mostly have used acupuncture for the relaxation of it all.  I haven't discussed with neither my Fertility Clinic nor my Acupuncturist in depth about the effect of acupuncture.  Although my acupuncturist has studied TCM and all that.

I'm just so conflicted. I want to make sure I do all I can do for this cycle.

It depends on your practitioner - mine only did treatment pre transfer for fet, but both pre and post for fresh transfers if possible. I only ended up doing a pre treatment with my last transfer and it still worked :) I would say see what your practitioner says. With DS I had accu pre and post transfer and everything went great too!

Its so hard because I want to do all the right things.  But in the end I know ultimately I have no control over this outcome so I need to chill.  But as you can tell from my posts today, I'm having a bit of a spinning day where I am overthinking so many things and I just need to calm the F--k down.

I didn't do acupuncture for relaxation.  I actually don't enjoy it lol.  I did it for fertility and lining benefits.  He puts needles in my abdomen and applies a current through them and in my legs and hands and whatever... ours works with our fertility clinic.  If it relaxes you, great! :)  Talk to them and see what they suggest.

The acupuncture I got was not from my usual acupuncturist but one that works with my fertility centre, we did acupuncture and visualization/meditation and it was very relaxing.  Call and check if there's one that works with your clinic.  My clinic doesn't do FETs on weekends if it can be avoided, only fresh transfers, maybe the timing of your transfer could be changed for later if you want to make some appointments before and after.

Hi there, I just did an FET in August and have been doing acupuncture. They specialize in fertility acuputure and they recommended to do a pre/post treatment and if you end up with a BFP, continue until you are 13 weeks. With the pre treatment, they put the needle in your feet, uterus, stomach legs. And for post they stay clear of your stomach and uterus area. I was going to him a few weeks before my actually FET as well. For me, every time I go, I fall asleep so I guess I'm relaxed. Good luck, and best wishes.
