Abby - did you get your results from your test? Hope you're in the clear!

How's everyone doing? It's been so quiet in here!

Sorry to be a whiner...my update..I spent last week at home with a sinus infection and now have some really sexy nasal drip going on. It's so attractive. Really. To make things more fun, I'm limping because my sciatica is acting up so both my lower back and left knee are wrapped AND I have a pinched nerve in my shoulder which is making my right arm basically useless. I'm ridiculous right now. I'm looking at my gym clothes, including the maternity running gear I was so optimistically hoping to use, and just shedding a tear. If you read this while wondering if I need some cheese to go with my w(h)ine - I'd like it with a cracker too!

Hey Autumn! I'm sorry to hear about your sinus infection and sciatica, how awful. :( As for exercise...the best laid plans, huh? I'm in the same boat. I know that I for one did not anticipate how much pregnancy was going to mess with my body! I'm having some retroactive sympathy for all the pregnant women I used to secretly resent so much. I will gladly share the crackers with you, though. :D I'm making a mental list of all the things I want to eat once heartburn/pregnancy no longer prevent it... a nice ham sandwich, a rare steak and sushi are currently at the top of my list!

AFM: I finally admitted I need some help this week and we hired house cleaners (they are coming today!) Although physio has helped my shoulder, I just can't keep up with cleaning the house and it's been dragging me down. I guess I'm a bit of a clean freak, I just like things to be nice and clean, it helps my mental state. My husband has helped but he's working full-time too and then he twisted his ankle so now he's also doing physio, haha. It's just too much. I feel kind of ashamed about how dirty things have gotten, I don't know why, but I think it'll be a big help even if we have to stretch the budget to make it work.

Has everyone been buying the stuff you need? We've got all the biggest items now I think - car seat, stroller, bassinet/crib. The bub is still a real kicky boots and growing well. It's weird for me to see all the new "due dates" threads here - people are due into October now! We aren't the new kids anymore. These babies are coming soon!

p.s. I was wondering whether anyone might be interested in joining a (private) Facebook group so we can keep in touch and share photos and things? I'm not comfortable posting a lot of stuff publicly here but it might be nice as we start having our babies and may not check the forums as much. Just gauging whether there's interest!

Autumn- you can whine away!! Sorry to hear your still not well! That sinus infection is brutal! I'm 2 weeks past the start of antibiotics and I still have nasty post nasal gunk! I'm also limping but I don't know if it's sciatica or not! Like Star said, i honestly had no idea how hard pregnancy would be on my Body! Hope you feel better soon!

Star- sorry you've got body pains too! It's crazy that people are due in October wow!! Our babies will be here soon, ekkkkkk!! I'd be up for a private Facebook group! It's been so quiet here! Just PM me and we can connect!

How is everyone? I'll be 29 weeks tomorrow and I still cannot believe it! It's been a rough week as we got rear ended last week and i had to spend the night in The antepartem unit to be monitored. Turns out they found a bit of babies blood in mine which indicates trauma. So now I'm waiting to see a specialist. It's been stressful but I'm thankful baby seems to be doing great! I just want until he's here safe in my arms! Zantac has helped my heartburn thankfully! I was able to eat spaghetti the other Day!

At least one person expressed interest in a FB group so I went ahead and created it - everybody is welcome but it's a secret group (not searchable), so just PM me your FB info (name or e-mail address or both) and I'll add you to it! :D

Star, I'm so sorry you have to deal with all these right now. :( glad you got a house cleaner; that's one stress off of you. I'd love to join the private group. Will PM you. I hope you and your hubby feel better soon! I hear you on the working out part. I've been on mat leave for 2 weeks now and I've worked out once. Sucks the weather is not that great, walking would have been good :-/

Annamarie - oh my, glad to hear baby is ok! Keep us posted would you? That must've have been so stressful. I'm glad your heartburn is better! ❤

Abby - same here. I fee like my belly is stretching everytime I yawn or take deep breaths. :-|

Anyone have stretch marks yet? I've been using biooil for 5 months now. Really hoping I don't get the stretch marks my sister got - they're really dark and gnarly-looking (don't ever tell her I said that!). I've been feeling blah... nursery is finished, complete with newborn diapers out on the diaper depot and daybed all made up. It's probably gonna get dusty since baby is not due for another two months :-s but it's been stressing me out and I needed something to do to pass the time. Hospital bag is almost done too. Anyone like me, not usuallly anal and OCD but I've become one! We're seeing the OB every two weeks now. The weight gain is freaking me out. I know compared to what you ladies are experiencing, I'm just whiney. lol I guess that's what happens when you're bored. I've been Netflixing and chilling, on top of taking care of our dog who had both her eyes taken out. Sorry I'm rambling.

I do creep in here just to see how you ladies are doing. Also, I've been reading the earlier due dates to find out their labour stories, but maybe I should stop. lol it's really starting to freak me out. Anxiety about labour is making me lose sleep at night. And my mother wanting to stay with us when the baby comes but that's another story altogether. lol

Anywho, keep the updates coming!!!!! We are almost there!!!! ❤❤❤

Reena, thank you! And exactly, I love walking (and usually walk our dog) but the combination of the shoulder (he's a big Labrador and he gets excited and pulls sometimes) plus how snowy/slippery it has been have kept me from doing much of it this winter. Ah well, come April/May we'll be out strolling with the best of them!

I sent you an invite to the group using your e-mail address - let me know if you don't get it! I'm feeling similarly aimless, maybe we can keep each other from going nutty over the next two months, haha. I cleared my work schedule so efficiently that a lot of days I'm at loose ends, though I'm still trying to stay productive. Oh my gosh about your dog's eyes - is she going to be okay? How awful! Hugs for you. Also, your pregnancy struggles are just as valid as everybody's and you have every right to whine if you want/need to! :D

As far as stretch marks go, my body helpfully used my existing stretch marks and just added onto the ends of them, lol. I have a few new ones near my hips. I've been putting belly butter on them but I don't know if it helped, oh well.

Thanks Abby! <3 I hope your test results are good and that you're doing okay!

My test results came back good , so I'm thinking that sandwich was was ruined my first test . I've been using shea butter cream for my skin too , so far I've just noticed my scars from 2 previous surgeries look abit bigger guess we won't really know the damage till after pregnancy. I noticed he found the heartbeat a lot higher on my belly then previous times but it makes spence because my upper right of my belly has been feeling a lot of pressure lately.

We did our hospital tour the other night and L&D is on the 15th floor, I kept cracking up thinking about the poster who said "I can't have my baby in a small tower!"

Hahaha GUILTY AS CHARGED. For what it's worth, I *think* that was my peak pregnancy hormone weirdness and I haven't been quite as irrational since then. Also ironically we've pretty much decided to use the local birthing centre which isn't even a tower at ALL but a converted house. How times change. icon_lol.gif

How is everyone doing, hanging in there? There's just one week left in February, I can't believe how time is flying!

Hi ladies! Wow it's been a long time since I posted... time has been flying by and standing still at the same time! I just read through all of your updates- It's nice to see everyone trucking along biggrin.png

I'm 35w3d today and oh so uncomfortable lol. I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes (GD) pretty early at 23 weeks because I forgot to fast for my fasting test. I decided to be monitored by my gestational diabetes clinic regardless, and it turned out to be a good choice because my GD ended up picking up weeks later. Luckily I've been diet controlled this whole time, though I've been getting lower blood sugars lately (which I have read can indicate issues with the placenta) so I could be looking at an earlier delivery...I'm hoping to make it at least to 38 weeks unsure.png

Aside from the GD, I've had some of the same pregnancy woes that you guys are describing... carpal tunnel in both hands, some sciatic pain..having to waddle everywhere lol. I'm also currently on week 2 of dealing with a pesky sinus infection, so I feel your pain AnnaMarie (Although hopefully you're not still dealing with it!). We are getting close, ladies!!

Amesw, it's nice to hear how you are doing and see you around! I'm sorry to hear about your GD but glad you've been able to control it mostly with diet. On top of all the other "fun" pregnancy stuff! I hope you can make it to 38+ weeks as well and that you don't end up worrying too much. You don't need more stress!

p.s. I don't know if you like Facebook at all but we made an additional group there to share photos and etc. and if you PM me your e-mail I can get you added to it! No pressure, just wanted to make sure you knew in case you were interested. :D

Thinking of all of you and hoping your pregnancies are going well! We had our first prenatal class last week and there was this super surreal moment for me when I looked around at all the people and thought "We are in a PRENATAL CLASS because we're having a BABY" and I couldn't believe how lucky we are and how happy I am. I had to fight not to tear up a bit because I am a huge sap, also thanks pregnancy hormones, haha. <3

Hello again , so far two of our bigger purchases have gone on sale shortly after buying , but luckily they let us bring the receipt in and get the sale price - so keep an eye out on the flyers! On wed the baby dropped , it hurt though! I had two sharp pains like lightning in my lower abdomen and then it hurt to walk the rear of the day. So I left work a little bit earlier then I planned. Since then I've just had more pressure in the lower region and since the baby is lower no more pain in my right rib . Hope everyone is doing well
