Hi everyone,
I've been feeling really down as I just completed my 2nd IVF cycle resulting in a chemical pregnancy (hgc was 17 9d post 5 day fet). This cycle I tried to do everything "right" - went to a top of the line clinic, accupuncture, reduced stress (time off work and no gym), only did things that made me happy.. and all I got was a tease of a "pregnancy". I have been open about this journey.. but I feel like all the well wishing responses only get me more down, including "success stories" from a friend of friend, etc. Glad to have found this forum of ppl who are fighting this together and truly understand what a struggle this is.. and really sorry you are going through this as well. Looking forward to going through the posts!

i am so sorry you had this experience. I recently completed my first fresh transfer of 2, 3 day embryos and found out monday that none took. We have one frozen embryo but if that doesn't work i am not sure what we will do. Our journey may officially end there. Right now i am feeling like a failure and that the dream of becoming a parent won't happen. I am some how managing to get through day by day. We are all in this struggle together. Most of my friends were able to have children without any problems so none of them understand. As a result i have pretty much isolated myself from them. This forum as well as instagram have been a good support system for my questions, feelings and concerns.

I have one more froze embie left too - waiting for AF so I can go straight into another fet in aug. I dont have much hope for it as based on past history the dr suspects its the dreaded egg quality as being the issue. When will you be doing a fet @Ivfjourneyofhope? Im also not sure what we will be doing next, but I do have an appt to get a 3rd opinion before deciding next steps. However I don't think I can do another regular IVF cycle given how slim the chances are vs the costs and will be leaning towards DE.

We are meeting with our RE this afternoon to go over the failed transfer. I don't think we can do our FET until most likely November or December as we are part of the funded group and it looks like there is a wait list for FETs. I am going to ask about my egg quality potentially being a factor. We have a 5 day blast 4bb frozen.

I also don't know if we can afford to do a full cycle on our own. My meds would be covered through my benefits but we would need to figure out paying for the cycle and we don't just have 10k lying around.

Hang in there! Hopefully you can get some diagnostic insight from this. Let me know what your RE saids.

Off topic.. for a funded cycle, even the fet has a waiting list? I assumed once you get approval on a funded IVF cycle, aside from the IVF procedure schedule itself, the fet is based on whenever you want to transfer.. not a wait list each time..

Furbabyfornow: sorry to hear about your chemical pregnancy. They suck! You finally get your hopes up that it has actually worked and then it is all over with beta. I hope your one frosty is the one.

I also had a chemical pregnancy this cycle and finally started af yesterday. Our hcg was 44 14dp2dt then dropped to 30 2 days later. We only had one egg fertilize with our funded cycle so we are trying to decide whether to try again with a mini IVF cycle or call it quits.
