Hi Ladies,

Need some advice. I took a HPT (first response) today 7dp3dt. It came up in 3 minutes a very very eye squinting positive. I took it outside to be certain i was seeing a line. Then it became obvious to me and husband yes there's a line but very difficult to see. Then i took a dollar store test and stark white negative. it was from the same urine sample as the first response.

So, anyone else have something similar? Am i just too early at 7dp3dt to test? Is there still hope?

First response is far more sensitive than a dollar store cheapie. And it's not a blue line (which can sometimes be an eval line and a false positive)? If it's a pink line test, you should be good!

See about me page.

Yeah I've had a few insanely faint positives on FRER. One was on 7dp3dt. I drove myself crazy trying to decide if I actually saw it or not but it was definitely real. So it sounds promising to me!

Definitely there is hope. I got a very faint positive with frer with a beta of 5....dollar store tests are sensitive down to 25 so a big difference!!! Congrats on the bfp on hpt momma :) Fingers crossed that line keeps getting darker and you get a nice strong beta :)

Carson that's untrue. You tested on embryo day #10. That's the earliest possible anyone ever sees. It could still take days for a reliable, steady state hcg level to be detectable. At dates that early, even drinking extra water can dilute your urine enough to make it negative.
The only accurate test (pre missed period) is your blood test. That's why the 2ww is such a killer

IVF #1: March 2016: Long protocol: Suprefact (200)/Menopur (225)

    9 follicles => 4 eggs => 3 mature => 3 fertilized (ICSI) => 2 blasts (one transferred, one frozen)

    BFN

IVF #2: June 2016: Microdose flare: Suprefact (40 BID)/Menopur (150)/ Gonal (300)

     7-10 follicles (?) => 12 mature eggs => only 4 fertilized w/ICSI => transferred 2 @ 3days and 1 blast frozen

     BFP:  day 14 beta = 93, day 18 beta 557 (37h doubling time)

     .... it stuck and we welcomed our boy March 2017!

back on this crazy journey again: June 6, 2018: FET #1...

Carson, yesterday you were asking us if it's too early to test. Today you're 100% sure it's over.

All we can do is reassure you that there is still some hope. Nobody knows how much hope .... just some.

You might be right, it might be over. And that's why many of us test so frequently -- to be mentally prepared.

That said, 8dp3dt is still early and the only way to know for sure is to wait and have a blood test.

The more days it stays negative, the more likely it is to be a BFN, but I wouldn't write your cycle off 100%.

i was looking for reassurance yesterday but after today's test i'm 100% certain im out and i have not an ounce of hope left. I've been through this before, and i know its done.
