I would really appreciate some help...I had my blood test done yesterday (15 days post transfer) and my HCG level was 9. They still considered it a BFP but the doctor is worried that it is too low. She said the normal level should be much higher. I just don't know what my chances are..my second beta is tomorrow in the hopes that it will go up. Has anyone had such a low HCG? Please help me

9 is definitely low, but as you can see on the betabase is possible as a positive test even as late as 17 past ovulation. the key thing is how do the numbers increase. as long as they keep on doubling then you've got amazing potential. In my case I had a first beta that was 7, second was 49, 3rd was 150, everyone was really excited, congratulated me, then it seemed to go up faster than it should, then it slowed down. Clinic said at that point that it could be a viable pregnancy, an early loss, or ectopic, and if I had any pain I should go to emerge. Then I had a small amount of pain near my ovary so I went to emerge and at emerge they diagnosed it as ectopic. I'm sorry, I don't say this to scare you, but only share because you asked for anyone with experiences in that range. My clinic isn't always the warm fuzzy type, but they were right in saying that it is true that anything can happen. At that moment, I was PG, and right now, so are you. Impossible to know what the outcome will be, but anything is possible. I've got fingers and toes crossed that you get magical news in the days and weeks and months to come!

I really appreciate your reply. I'm just so nervous. This is probably my last shot at this; I turn 37 next month. I'm sorry to hear about your ectopic :( It's awesome that you were able to get PG eventually though, congratulations!

I agree that doubling is the key...  but...  most clinics would not consider a nine a positive pregnancy test at 15DPT...  Most want at least 25 at 14DPO....  I am praying for a miracle and that you simply have a late implanter!  GOOD LUCK!
