Hi everyone - we'll by cycling with VFC and Dr. Hudson this fall. The plan is to do IVF with PGD in October, with transfer in December/January. As part of my protocol, I'll be doing intralipids. Just wondering if anyone else that's out of province has done intralipids, and if so, how did you find a nurse/doctor to administer the IV? I have two friends who did intralipids - one had to fly back and forth to Phoenix every weekend, and the other was lucky enough to have a doctor friend of her father's administer it for her.

I do have a nurse friend I can ask, or my sister (who lives near Grande Prairie, so fly there every weekend), but wondered if anyone know of anyone local to Calgary?

I did it as a part of my cycle 4 years ago that lead to a successful PG. My clinic was able to do it in house. They booked me in for 3 hours, put me in a lazy boy, hooked me up to the drip and checked my blood pressure ever 15 minutes or so. Very low key.

Wishing you all the best in your cycle

Eclipse fertility clinic in Calgary will admin intralipids for you for about $300. They are a fertility clinic that does iui, satellite monitoring and some adjective ivf support treatments but not ivf.

Currently 41, DH 46 - severe male factor, advanced maternal age, immune issues, uterine issues with TTC#2 following c section and miscarriage

TTC #1- 3 failed fresh cycles age 35-36 (one cancelled) and one successful FET at 37 (DS:)

TTC #2 - 2 fresh cycles at 39 and 40- one miscarriage and one failed (uterine infection after)
-3 failed FETs (2 with complication of uterine fluid but went away after progesterone)
-2 cancelled FETs (one due to uterine inflammation/infection after miscarriage and one due to uterine fluid)
-2 great quality frozen embryos left - one day 3 (at 39) and 1 day 6 blast (at 40) waiting for FET - have figured out the protocol to avoid complications and just hoping for my golden egg

It's so hard to wait around for something that may never be, but harder to let go when it's all you've ever wanted"

I was also going to mention eclipse wellness also. I know the doctors there and they are very integrative I their approach. I may also be using them if we get to that stage with this cycle (fingers crossed).
