hi there, I am starting to look into egg donation as my mother was a surrogate for almost my entire childhood. She had 5 of her own children (I am a twin) and gave birth to 6 others through surrogacy (1 set of twins) to same sex couples and also gay couples. I've grown up with the gift of giving life to families who can not reproduce on their own and i think it is an amazing thing!

I am currently looking into clinics, how to start the process of becoming a legitimate donor, type of relationships families would like with donors (semi-known, known, closed etc)

I would like to do this from the kindness of my heart as I do not want any children of my own in the future (or at least any time right now as things may change)

 

What agencies do you recommend?

 

How long is the process?

My fiance and I are looking for an egg donor.

 

Egg donation agencies - Little Miracles, ReproMed, Egg Helpers, Surrogacy in Canada Online, etc.

 

Egg donation process - 2 months depending on your cycle - MUST go for an evaluation with your SO (blood work, ultrasound, psychological evaluation and appointment with the fertility doctor - 1-2 days) - once approved, the fertility doctor will get you set up for the egg retrieval process by working with your cycle - takes about 4-5 weeks for the retrieval process
