Hi everyone, I'm just wondering how long everyone's clinic made them wait after a BFN on a fresh cycle before starting a frozen one..

My clinic tells me I don't call until day 1 of my 3rd bleed, then I start suprefact nasal spray on day 21. Then I call on the next day 1, start antibiotics and estrace on day 2, increase estrace day 7 and day 12. then i go for an u/s between day 15-20, if the lining is greater than 8mm i start progesterone and after 5 days of the suppositories i do the transfer.

So, my BFN was feb 1, the first cycle day 1 was feb 4th. Which means my embryo transfer will likely be towards the end of May :(

That just seems like a ridiculously long time and i'm grumpy about it lol.

Me: 35 and single

06/15 - 1st IUI - BFN

08/15 - 2nd IUI - BFN

Jan 18/16 - transferred 1x5 day blast and froze 7 more!

Feb 01/16 - BFN!

May 03/16 - FET (1 5 day embryo transferred)

I don't understand why if cycle day one was February 4th that you have to wait until the end of May? I know most clinics make you skip one. So theoretically if you started February 4th and then let's say you start again early March then you should be able to transfer towards the end of March

I had to wait two full cycles before they would give me a protocol, and then another cycle on suprefact prior to transfer. The waiting sucks!!
IVF November 2015 - transferred 1 blast - resulted in bfn (8 frozen - 5d embryos)
FET March 2016 - first BFP but ended at 11weeks (ultrasound showed embryo stopped at 8w4d)
FET Oct 2016 - transferred 2 and BFP

Every clinic has their own protocol....but I do feel that 3 bleeds is more than the norm.  At my clinic, I have to wait two full bleeds.  So on your next day 1, I would get to call and then start nasal spray on day 21 after ovulation confirmation, then bleed, take estrace and transfer.  So it would be 3 bleeds from your BFN.  If you are concerned, call and have a talk with them.  Good luck

My old clinic made me sit out two cycles. My current one gave me the option of cycling right away.
Finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

See "About Me" for details.

Very sorry about ur bfn...we cycled together and my clinic said I could do 1 right away but I skipped the first bleed after the bfn-which came the day after beta...so I'll start in the next week or so. I hope your clinic changes their mind...that does seem like a long wait.

my clinic had no wait. i started AF while on progesterone for fresh transfer so as soon as i got my bfn, i started a FET cycle the next day.

itvixen - i can't imagine how long 3 months will feel.  i would def speak to your clinic about it and remember you are paying and should have answers and a plan that works best for you-even if it means looking to a different clinic.   good luck!

My clinic had no wait. Though I did find success after waiting it out a month or two between fresh and frozen. Not sure if there was any correlation but that seemed to work.

Hey ladies hope all is well with everyone. I've only got a few more days left of my 2ww and I'm starting to lose it. Been having constant cramping for the past 4 or 5 days and today I've had some spotting. This is my 4th and final go at ivf and it's really feeling like AF is coming. Feeling extremely down today, don't know how much more I can handle of this. Sorry to be such a downer. Sometimes it's hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel when you want something so bad. Sorry again guys we decided not to tell family and friends what were going through, so I don't have an outlet to vent. I'm sure by now DH has heard enough from me. I was really hoping this time would be it :(
