AshP - my doubling time with DS was 55 hours and everything turned out perfectly!!! Try not to worry about it :) If you go to betabase.com they have a doubling time calculator if you want to figure it out....

Ola- Thanks SO much for sharing that :) That really gives me a lot more hope for this little embie :)

When I went to the beta calculator, it said my doubling time was 56 hours and that number was within the normal range for where my HCG is at right now (the range says it should double between 31-72 hours at this point).  I just get anxious because of my last loss, although that beta started out at 18, so significantly lower than this one...:(

Really hope to get good news on Friday!!!! Fingers crossed!!!!! xxxx

Well, just about ready to leave for the ultrasound appointment but I'm not feeling too optimistic. My morning hpts have been lighter than my evening ones for 3 days now, and this morning I started spotting just a little bit :( Why is this so hard and stressful. ....

AshP - I think your beta numbers sound good. Not quite double, but close enough!

I now have the option of getting another beta drawn today, but I'm not sure if I want it with my ultrasound tomorrow. If I get good news then great! But if it's bad news, then I'm just going into the ultrasound in a bad mood. I guess I could have it drawn today, and not answer my phone for the rest of the day!...why do we have to go through this torture!

ET Aug 2014 - 19 retreived, 6 made to 5 day blasts - sent to PGD Lab (freeze all)...4 blasts good to go!

November 2014 - 1st FET cycle...cancelled due to bad uterine lining

December 2014 - 2nd FET cycle....cancelled due to bad uterine lining

February 2015 - 3rd FET cycle...uterine lining got to 0.8mm...transferred 2 blasts...BFN

June 2015 - 4th FET cycle (only 1 blast left to transfer...one didn't make it through thaw).....we'll see...nope BFN

Oct 2015 - 31 retrieved, 8 made to 5 day blasts - sent to PGD Lab (freeze all)....6 blasts good to go!

Jan 2016 - 5th FET cycle...lining got to 6.5mm, not great, but Dr seemed confident...transferred 2 blasts...just waiting...finished waiting

Well, ultrasound went great :) We saw our little bean measuring 6w4d (I'm 6w2d ) with a heartbeat of 120 :) Feeling much relieved. I'm also very glad that I have no more hpts in the house. ...
Good luck with the ultrasound tomorrow Jody! I hope you get some good news. ...the beta might not be a bad idea just to correlate with the ultrasound? ?? Fingers and toes crossed. Are you still bleeding? ??

Yay Ola! That's so great to hear! You must be over the moon excited!

No bleeding since Monday (I'm not counting Tuesday because I'm pretty sure that was just the "leftovers") so I'm hoping that's a good sign. I think I'm going to get the beta drawn this afternoon, that way the results won't be in until the morning anyways. By then the ultrasound will be over and hopefully I can relax a bit.

I want to wish all the ladies going through the stresses of early pregnancy good luck. I know it's tough but keep staying positive. I've had my own share of ups and down so I can completely understand what you are going through. Stay strong, we're all pulling for you!

Afm, because if my past ups and downs I've been stressing over this pregnancy and I keep praying everything is fine in there and so far (thankfully!) it all seems to be progressing well. When I was pregnant with my daughter I bought a Doppler because I knew it would help calm me down whenever I got super stressed and concerned. I've used it during this pregnancy too (as recent as yesterday) and so far I keep hearing the heartbeat which is such a comfort. Otherwise my pregnancy symptoms seem to be lessening. The morning sickness is pretty much gone, I don't feel as EXHAUSTED as I was and the bloating has gone down too. Yay all around! As of today I'm 10 weeks 2 days!! My hubby and I were anxious to pass the 9 week mark since I miscarried at 9 weeks before, now the next goal is 12 weeks. One day at a time!

Hi everyone,
I'm new to this, and I was scared to join so soon, but I just need people to talk to. I have had 7IUIs and 3 rounds of IVF all with BFN and no frosties. My husband and I looked into adoption and even went to a lawyer and then randomly had something in our insurance change so we decided to go back and try a 4th round of IVF....we finally got a BFP. I'm actually still in stock and I'm not sure that I believe any of this is real. I'm 5 weeks today and according to some website I'm due 10/13.

I wanted to pose a question as I'm curious what your doctors have you doing....is anyone on progesterone supplements? I'm currently take 1.5 cc of PIO and endometrin 2 times a day. It seems like a lot. Thoughts? It was tested today and I had a number of 24.

Ola- so glad to hear that the ultrasound went well....sending you lots of positive vibes :)

Jody I hope whatever you decided went okay for you!

Welcome Orange and congratulations on your BFP!!!
I'm on 3 progesterone suppositories a day and when I did my first beta test my progesterone level was WAY higher then yours. Rest assured that the progesterone level is good and necessary.

Best of luck.

Andi- that's amazing that you're already 10 weeks along :) 1/4 of the way there!!! I have a doppler too and am debating when to start using it....I got it when I was 10 and a half weeks preggo with my ds and found his heartbeat right away.....I might try around 8 or 9 weeks but we'll see....

Orange - congrats on the bfp!!!! I am so happy for you :) Don't worry too much about the progesterone - we just need extra because our bodies likely aren't producing enough after retrieval....I don't think my clinic checks progesterone levels at all....also, around 6 weeks, the placenta starts producing progesterone to support the pregnancy too so you'll be just fine :) When is your ultrasound booked for???

Ola- So happy to hear that your ultrasound went well :) That is amazing! You must feel so happy and relieved!!!

Orange- Welcome!!! :) I am taking 3 progesterone suppositories per day and 300mg oral Prometrium per day as well.  My progesterone measured at 60 (Canadian measurement), but that's all their machine goes up to, so not sure what it really is...pretty high I'm sure!

Andi- Congrats! Sounds like you are doing very well so far :)

Jody- When do you find out about your beta?? Hope all goes well with your ultrasound tomorrow :)

AFM- I am 4 weeks, 2 days today! Just anxiously awaiting my 3rd beta tomorrow and really hoping and praying for good news going into the long weekend...!! Will keep you ladies posted once I hear :)

Morning!!

Just a quick check in...got the call for my third beta this morning and it went from 285 to 734!!!!!! :D We are overjoyed and feeling SO thankful right now....The nurse said it obviously it more than doubled so we don't have to do another beta before 7-week ultrasound, but we can if we want.  I will likely do one more on Sunday just to ease my mind until the ultrasound, but she said things are looking really great!!

How is everyone else doing??? :) We have a long weekend in Ontario, so I am so excited to have an extra day to relax with DH :)

My report cards are due on Tuesday (I'm a teacher), but it's definitely nice to have an extra day!!

Jody- hope all went well today!

Thanks for the feedback everyone on progesterone, definitely helpful! I go for my first ultrasound on the 18th. What should I be expecting. Obviously it is too early to hear the heart....do you see anything? Do you know at that time how many embryos took? We transferred two day 5 blasts.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Hey guys, I couldn't bring myself to get my beta number before my ultrasound today....I just couldn't do it. But after the ultrasound found out it is at 49,676, and the ultrasound showed 2 healthy little blobs in there!...and a subchorionic haematoma...hence the bleeding. I have another ultrasound on Wednesday just to make sure things are going good, then another one in 3 weeks from today to see if the haematoma has gotten smaller. I've been told that I may or may not have more bleeding because of it, but no one seemed too concerned. It wasn't close to either blob of baby, so all is ok!...also got to see both little fluttering heartbeats, both at 124...and both measuring 6 weeks 2 days, so right on track! Thanks to everyone for the support over the past few days...its been a tough week, but good news in the end. Now to relax for the long weekend...and celebrate my birthday that I didn't celebrate on Tuesday because of the stress and bleeding!

Our FET was 1/15/16. We are very cautious because my first bata was 6.8, but 5 days later it went over 900. Then we had bleeding, still bleeding alittle. We were pretty nervous for our ultrasound today. Our bean measuring 6 week 4 days and the heart beat is 138. Yay!

This is pretty stressful process.

Congrats on your BFP, beck! A little bleed is normal. I wouldn't worry about it. I always had implantation spotting which seemed to come around the same time as you are having it now. I'm sure it's all fine. Let us know how the US goes today.
This whole process IS stressful especially when you've gone through so much to get this positive. We all understand and are here to support. Let me tell you, the stress doesn't get any less as your pregnancy continues. It just becomes a different stress. My symptoms are gone, what does that mean? The baby hasn't started moving yet, what does that mean? The baby hasn't moved in an hour, what does that mean? Hahaha. Only 33 more weeks left ;)
