Hi ladies,

If you were impacted by the Bravelle recall there is a law firm in Halifax called Wagners Law exploring the possibility of a class action.  Due to site restrictions I can't post the link but you can easily find them if you google Wagners Law (its in Hlfx).  They would like people to contact them.  If you click on "current class actions" you will see a link to their Bravelle information.

You can also message me as well.

Some of us have also started a FB page (secret page) for support and to chat about this.  If you want to be added message me here with your FB name.

Sorry if you are impacted by this.

About me:

TTC for 1 year.

1 fur baby named Penelope, the chocolate goldendoode.

Me: 38, DH: 35 with male factor infertility, only 5% motility (lazy beasts).

Hysterosalpingogram, FSH (5.3), AMH (1.86), Estradiol (<100), LH (2.0) all normal.

January 11, 2013: Stims started.  Menopur 75 and Bravelle 225.

Jan. 21 - ER 5 eggs retrieved, 3 fertilized.

Jan, 23 - ET of three 2day embryos. Grades 4B, 5B, and 4C.

THEN I get sick sick sick with a horrible kidney infection that gives me 9 days of pain and several trips to emerg, including a diagnostic laparascopic surgery. My hopes are dashed. IV pain meds and antibiotics given. I'm losing hope.

10dp2dt: Surprise! BFP th_abfp.gifon HPT.  7 more +HPTs after while waiting for beta.

1st Beta 254 at 14dp2dt.

2nd Beta at 629 16dp2dt (48 hours later).

3rd Beta: 3731 21dp2dt.

It's a great Valentines' Day!

First ultrasound -- it's TWINS! So happy!

Second ultrasound March 7...Unfortunately we will lose the little twin, but can be seen on ultrasound until 14 weeks.

Thanks NovaScotian!

I took the liberty of sharing our post with a few others regarding Wagner's Law firm.  I was affected by the batch numbers as well.  I am waiting to hear from the law firm to see where things are at.

I am such a mix of emotions right now….just when you accept that things are not going to work out in that department I am finding myself riddled with the big WHAT IF???  It is more than just the cost of the Bravelle that was used for the cycle…that was only a fraction of what one cycle cost me from a financial standpoint.  Let alone the emotional roller coaster.

I am sure that anyone else that was affected is likely feeling the same way.

Husband had vasectomy during his previous marriage.  He had a TESE done in December.

First IVF cycle

started injections on June 3 - Suprefact 20 uts BID

June 5 added in Menopur 300 mg in morning and Bravelle 150 mg in evening

Went for f/u ultrasound on June 11 - 6 follicles visible

continued injections until June 13 - repeat ultrasound - 3 follicles look good but need longer to become bigger (13, 11, 9)

continue same injections

June 16 - repeat ultrasound 3 really good looking follicles (20, 18, 17) and one hiding behind that measurement couldn't be determined.  Last dose of Bravelle tonight....trigger shot tonight of HCG.

ER scheduled for June 18. - 3 eggs retrieved.  Now to wait and see how fertilization goes.

ET June 21 - 2 three day 8 cell embryos successfully transferred.

Now PUPO - with twins...LOL

Several positive pregnancy tests (home and lab urine)

June 30-July 4 light bleeding no cramps/clots

July 4 beta 11

July 7 beta 2  - CHEMICAL PREGNANCY

July 16 f/u appointment with HL

On list for another round in October

We submitted our recall package in May 2016 and have yet to hear back.  For those who have received their refund, how long does it take?
