Hi, looking for a cycle buddy(ies) in October. I am just waiting for AF to arrive, then I can call in my day one, with the pill to start day 2 or 3. I am scheduled to start Suprefact on October 9. My last ivf cycle had me on Bravelle, but this time they are going to try Gonal F and Menopur. Sounds more complicated to me. Starting to get excited. Sure hope the second time is the charm. I am not sharing with people this time, either. Just going to do it. Jinxing it and all that stuff.

tannikka,
Hope everything goes very smooth for you this time around. The second time can be the charm, just think positively!! Although we won't be going through this at the same time (we are hoping for Dec/Jan), I would love to keep in contact with you throughout your journey.

Hi, Sherry. How was your summer? Nice to hear from you. I am just glad that DH agreed to stay with Artus. I am a bit worried cuz by AF still has not arrived. It is late, so I am going to call Jackie tomorrow and panic. LOL. The worst thing at this moment is the stress. It seems to be everywhere. Lots of stuff going on. Have you done any studying on the acupuncture? I have talked to my GP about it, and he pretty much said that it is what I believe will help. Lots of help he was. Might even give that a go. Stay in touch.

Finally, AF arrived, and now my protocol has changed. All of a sudden I have to be in S'toon for tuesday am. They are going to follow my natural cycle. So I do not start Suprefact on the 9th. I guess the FSH drugs stay the same, but the suprefact might change into centrutide(sp). I will keep it posted. Happy Thanksgiving.

Hi Tannikka,
Thanks for the update. Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Try not to create too much stress. Hopefully with less drugs and by following your natural cycle you will have great success. I've heard that by following your natural cycle you may have to make more trips to Stoon, but there's greater success with natural cycles. I hope it's true with yours.....

Boy, things get hectic and spin so fast, that "all of a sudden I have not updated this at all in 11 days". So my appointment came and went, and I have been put on hold. My pattern was all wrong, and my AF was too weird. So I started BCP 7 days ago, and have been put on an antogonist cycle, rather than an agonist cycle. Which means I do not start suprefact. Finally understood the last cycle, and now this is all brand new. Never make plans. LOL. So I am kind of on hold until October 31, next ultrasound. Then I might find out where I go from there. Sorry I have been out of touch. Thanks for keeping in touch Sherry. Sure feel like you get lost on the other threads with 14 + pages.

I can not believe how fast this time round has happened. The ultrasound was good on the 31st, and started gonal f mised with menopur on the 4th of novemeber. Things went smooth, i thought, until my next ultrasound, i was overproducing, so Dr. C lowered the meds. Been hectic. We decided to drive back and forth, and I feel so rushed and behind. We had ER on wednesday. They got nine eggs. Still have not heard from anyone as to how many fertilized. ET will be saturday. Actually home from work today, tried, but I am sore from ER. That is pretty new to me, I was fine with the last one. Sorry about not keeping this up-to-date.

Congratulations on the 9 eggs. I pray that all fertilize and you have lots of success. I will be thinking of you on Saturday. Look forward to hearing from you after your 2ww.

So out of nine eggs, seven fertilized, and five made it. ET was for two grade ones, and they were going to wait with the other three, make them blasts, to freeze them. I am to call this week and find out if three made it to freeze. Did nothing in S'toon until Tuesday, got home yesterday, so now I wait as patiently as I can until next Friday.

Well I called the clinic and none of the embryos made it to day five. None to freeze. So the question that has been running through my head is if they did not make it, what about the ones in me???? Sis said that a petrie dish is no substitution for the womb. Fingers crossed. Trying to stay calm. Four more sleeps.

Well, another round had come and gone. Lots of time off, did things a little differently, and still BFN. Not sure where to go from here. What a let down. Good luck to you Sherry. I will keep an eye here for you. Are you still set to go in December/January? I know the strike has caused some distrubances(sp).

I will pray and send baby dust your way. Fingers will be crossed.

Oh tannikka, I am so sorry on your bfn. I was praying for the best for you. Are you up to trying again?? or are you looking into other opportunities??

As for us, the strike has pushed us back. We are most likely looking at Feb/March now.

All the best to you....

Thanks Sherry, I am glad to hear that you have not been pushed back as far as I had heard people talking. I was kind of looking forward to having some frozen, but that did not work out. I am not sure. Since my DH surgery, his count is up, so the bad decision to have tubes done at 25, hopefully can be fixed. When we do our follow-up, I am going to try and see Dr. O the same day. He referred us on, so it should not be too hard to see him. But it is at least a year waiting list for tubal reconstruction. So in the mean time, we might try Foothills once. I can always cancel the tubal surgery if we happen to get BFP. It is especailly hard at this time, but hopeful, as his sister, whose little girl just turned one. She tried for years, then when the baby girl was only four months old, she got pg again. She has a blood problem. Plus a tubal pg that ruptured one tube. So there is hope. I will look into this clinic chat in feb/mar.

In the meantime, enjoy the holidays.

Take care and I am starting to send baby dust to you.

Hi TannikKa

I recently had a Ivf cycle at Artus with antagonist protocol. I just got BFN yesterday. I just want to ask you what did you think Foothills tried different which led to your BFP cycle, although I liked ARTUS and doctors very much, But I dont know what to do next.

I look forward to your reply.
