I have recently become obsessed with whaether the presence or absence of cramps during the 2ww is indicative of a BFN or BFP. I have no cramps...has anyone who bacame pregnant not experienced cramping during their 2ww?

Hi Danalori,

Cramping doesn't always mean its a BFP or BFN. It could go either way. I would just try to relax and think positive. I know easier said than done, lol. Hope soon you get a BFP!!

Good luck,

Danalori,

I had cramping during my 2ww and got a BFN. It can go either way I think. Some women have cramps and get BFP's!!! It's hard to say...I wrote you a message on another thread asking if you had any testing done after your first BFN. Or did you just repeat the cycle as is? Did they make any changes?

What about with you Val? Any tests you did?

i dont think cramping has anything to do with bfp/bfn
it occurs when your ovaries are going back to normal ,some women are more sensitive to those changes than others
some have more swelling than the others
the meds cause constipation and bowel pushes on the ovaries and uterus too thus causing cramping
hope that helps

Dear Sam,
Thank you for giving me this news, I have had on day 10 and 11 a lot of cramping and real solid pains on both sides of the abdomen - I am on my 2ww schd for 9/28 - so I have some hope! keeping myself positive as this is my 5th IVF with donor eggs, I don't have anything wrong, except my age!!! I will be 48 in Feb 08 HAHA - had never thought I would be chsing this path, at this ripe old age, but I would love to have a child with my DH as he is the greatest man I have met in my whole life and looks after my daughter (from my previous marriage) like his own!! so please ladies pray I can make him happy! Love and positive energy to all of you lovely ladies!
Love

Thank you Sam, you brought tears to my eyes, I have been very emotional last two days, praying and keeping myself positive for Friday !! Yeah, I do understand what you say - I did get pregnant naturally at 45 but miscarried at 16weeks, it was most painful, all my IVF's have taken, but for some reason I m/c at 5th week onwards - have done all the tests, everything comes out normal - even my periods are like clock work 28/30 days - so this time, the Dr. suggested we do a donor egg cycle, so hoping all will be positive for Friday and the next 9 months will go on smoothly..... wonder what is in store for us!!

Hi Danalori!

I had cramping, but it started PRIOR to the embryo transfer! So I think that mine was directly related to the progesterone.
