Hello everyone,
I need your opinions... I took two pregnancy test this morning and both were positive however I have been bleeding since before my transfer due to my cervix. Can you get a false positive from the blood? I read online that blood in urine can cause false positive....
Hoping that's not the case!

It's doubtful. But I'd go for an hug blood test to be sure. I bled a lot after my transfer and didn't get a false positive.

That is 100% impossible. The only thing that makes a test positive is the pregnancy hormone HCG.
Me: 30 Hypothyroid, Endo, MTHFR, elevated Cytokines,TNF 36.8 (13.2-30.6) IFN 27.5(5.8-20.5). 2006-Twin m/c @ 8wks w/ex BF followed by 22 BFN's ... 6 months on clomid & 4 IUI's. Married for 5yrs to the love of my life. We want to make that love childDH: 31 Azoospermia (NOA) FSH 28.3, LH & testosterone levels normal Normal genetics. NOA possibly due to injury when younger.IVF/ICSI Barbados 201312/3-ER! 18 eggs, 12 mature & 10 fertilized!12/8-ET! 2 beautiful beans snuggled into place! 7 snowflakes!12/13- BFP12/17- Beta 9dp5dt 255!12/19 Beta 11dp5dt 392, 13dp5dt 585???12/26 Beta 3,388!1/2 U/S TWINS!! HB's 122& 1211/20 U/S Lost Baby B @ 7-8 weeks. I will say it would definitely be of concern though if you are bleeding so badly that you can't just get urine alone collected for your test.
Urine , I'm sure I don't have to mention comes from a different hole down there so if its just cervix spotting your urethra isn't even near your cervix to get contaminated.

Thanks everyone! I actually stopped bleeding this morning but I am going to get my blood test done today to find out. Hoping it will be confirmed and everything is good!

NOTING can give a false positive EXCEPT an HCG trigger shot because HCG is the only thing that makes the sencond test line show up!

Thank you. I got my results today. I am pregnant! My Hcg levels were 391. I'm hoping that's a good number!

That's a very strong first number. Anything above 25 for a first draw is good!

UPDATE: I'm counting the days and hours waiting for this miracle to unfold. Christina Perri's A Thousand Years pretty much sums up my experience.

Hi, I know this is an old thread but I wanted to add something in case somebody reads this later. Infected urine from UTIs DO NOT give false positive on hpts. I know because I use to get them very very frequently and never did I get a false positive on hpt even when hematuria was one of the symptoms.
