I have been recently diagnosed with a subchrionic hemorrhage. Two days ago I had a gush of bright red blood. I went to the ER and they found a SCH. I am 13weeks and have been put on Bedrest. We did a FET of 2 blasts and one took.

What has your experience been if you had a SCH? good or bad

How long were you on Bedrest?

Did you return to work once you were taken off Bedrest?

I am out of the province right now and am scared to even fly home next week

Any other tips would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you

I had a huge gush of blood at 9 weeks and was diagnosed with a SCH. They put me on besdrest for 3 weeks and was completely gone at my next ultrasound. I returned to work right after that and it never returned. My little darling Madison is 6 weeks today! I know it's scary but 2 of my friends who recently had babies had the same thing as well. Everyone has healthy babies now! Good luck
1 year...6 fresh ivf's...so many failed attempts...we finally got a BFP on Nov 27, 2014. What finally worked: co culture, G - CSF, IVIG, prednisone .Nov 27 Beta 112 Nov 29 Beta 291 Dec 16 Saw 2 flickering heartbeats on ultrasound!!!! (from a single blastocyst transfer)Looking like identical twins for us...wowDec 22 control u/s to make sure the babies are growing. Only 1 H/B found. 1 twin didn't make it. Just 1 baby for us. Jan 23 NT scan and blood work came back all normal! As per our amazing technician...70% chance it's a girl!Mar 18th 20 week anatomy scan shows a perfectly healthy baby girl!
Madison arrives on July 17 2015 at 37 weeks 2 days! 10 fingers and 10 toes...perfect in every way.

I had one. They aren't terribly uncommon.

I am currently nursing our one month old so everything turned out OK.

I was never put on bedrest.

It was there on my 7 week ultrasound. Gone by my 20 week ultrasound. The ultrasound previous to that was 13 weeks and it was still there at that time.

I am going through same thing recently. Actually posted about it just before this post. Was 7w4d and had huge gush of red blood. Ultrasound next day showed huge SCH as well as a twin gestational sac that was empty. I was put in strict bed rest for about 2 weeks (just ending now). Had no bleeding since..followup ultrasound showed no evidence of SCH despite how big it was only 8 days earlier. This time the ultrasound showed empty twin sac (blighted ovum) and healthy baby still going strong. Now my concern is this empty sac because it is still growing. Hoping my body reabsorbs is and doesn't have a miscarriage with contractions that could affect the healthy baby.

I think the bed rest really helped. It is not easy to do but seems to be very worth it..I see the OB for first time tomorrow so we will see what he says.

I did my IVF at VFC and am back in manitoba now but hadn't yet gotten an OB when this thing all started. We had out two embryos in and one took and the other implanted but never progressed. I think that the SCH came from the failed twin pregnancy

Although I was told I don't need strict bed rest anymore I was told still take it extremely easy...only walk around minimally and still pelvic rest.

I had an SCH diagnosed at 7 weeks, with two scary bleeds over the course of a weekend followed by heavy spotting for weeks. I was never put on bed rest, and went about my normal work day immediately. By my 12 week ultrasound it was still there, but tiny. It was gone by 18 weeks. I'm now 29 weeks, and the baby is doing great. There are tons of happy SCH stories out there--I hope you're one of them!

Me: 30, no issues

Him: 42, poor motility (antibodies)

5 X IUI = 4 BFNs and 1 chemical

Nov 2014, switched to Foothills clinic for IVF w/ICSI

Feb 2015, IVF #1 antagonist protocol

29 retrieved, 22 mature, 14 fert, 8 to blast!

Transferred 1 and froze 7, BFP with a beautiful singleton.
