Looks like I'll be in the early FETs with islandchyck and MCG.

I'll be doing a natural FET, so one ultrasound at the end of may and then transfer between the beginning and middle of June :)

So, I got my labs back...

TSH is 2.72 (not below 2 like some fertility dr's like it to be but my dr. isn't worried).

Vitamin D is 29 (considered deficient), so I am taking 2,000 units of D3 per day.

These are american measurements.  I know a lot of you are in Canada and the measurements are different :)

Iheartmemories - I have to take the 2000 units of vitamin D as well. Along with a prenatal of course!

Aiglee - is a natural FET one without medication at all? I've seen the term used all over the boards, but I don't have personal experience with it.

I'm continuing to take the mini pill, which I hate because of the non-stop spotting. Im on the long protocol. I take it for 3 weeks, so until the 26th of May.

How is EOE doing?
Me - 36. DH - 38. DD - 2.5 years.
TTC since September 2006.
Had a Lap "just in case" - no endo.2 HSGs - all clear
3 IUI with Clomid - BFN1
IVF in jan 2011. No ET due to severe OHSS.
FET #1- BFN
FET #2 - BFN
FET #3 - BFN.
Tired of of the same old protocol and BFNs. On to VFC.
April 2012 - transferred 2 blasts. - our long awaited BFP!February 8/2013 - gave birth to a baby girl! What was different: cut out gluten, Endometrial biopsy, intralipids, Neupogen, Medrol, heparin, acupuncture right after transfer.

June 2015 - transferred one blast. BFP! Thank you VFC! EDD March 5.

Never heard of the mini pill.  What is the name of it?  I will be on BCP for two weeks.  I dread it too... makes me so sick.

Yes! smile.png This will my first time with a natural FET. I have to go for day 3 ultrasound and blood work, then day 10 and every day from them on until I ovulate on my own for ultrasound and blood work. Once I ovulate, I come back a week later and if lining is good they do the transfer and then only have the Endometrin for the next 2 weeks. So we still do the progesterone, but nothing else.

I don't have any issues ovulating or with lining (which I support with acupuncture either way) so the doctor thinks is a good option. If my lining is not good for transfer, then it gets cancelled and I start oestrogen for the next month.

Lucky!  My dr. will not do a natural FET even though I ovulate on my own too.  I guess he just likes to control it with medication plus he says they have better success with medicated FET's (at least at my clinic).

Aiglee - I have no problems with ovulating either despite having pcos but my RE is still going to do a medicated FET. Probably for the same reason as iheartmemories clinic

Also, did my b/w and u/s today. TSH levels are 3.13! Down from 7.21!! I'm very happy but we are still going to wait one more cycle as we want the level to be below 2.5. Ultrasound also revealed a lot of left over follicles and cysts so I want that to clear up before we go ahead. Started my healthy diet and exercise in preparation for FET a few days ago and already down 1.5lbs! Don't really care about the weight loss, but making sure my body and utuers are ready for my FET in June!

Good idea to wait it out another cycle!  I would too....

I called my internal dr. back and told her I want it under 2, so I am increasing my dose from doing: 25,50,25,50 (alternating nights) to: 50,50,25,50,50,25, etc.  I go back in two weeks to see if it is working and I am also checking TPO antibodies, which is good for someone who has thyroid problems.  You may want to get yours checked too.

Thanks iheartmemories, I will definitely get them to do that. I'm also going to ask to stay on my thyroid meds during the transfer and into the pregnancy if I get pregnant. Been doing research and I didn't realize how much thyroid could affect pregnancy

Hoping AF will come early for me as well. Not due until June 4th as my cycle is naturally 35 days but I am hoping, since my IVF cycle, it may kick back to regular 21 days and start a week before June. Getting excited to get things started and rolling again :)

Hope everyone is doing well and patiently waiting :)

Hey Ladies...

I joined the MAY FET group, but my transfer ended up not being until the first week in June hopefully. Most of them are having their transfers in May unlike me.

I'm trying for baby #3 after my twins were born in 2009. Been trying for another child for the last 2.5 years.

Long story, but I have some frosties and plan to transfer 1 the week of June 1st.

I'm currently just doing Lupron until May 15, when I start Estrace.  May 28 I start Progestrone and then I transfer the week of June 1st.

May 2008 IVF#1 - Transferred two embryos. Twins! Born Dec 2008. (Boys) They are now 7 years old! biggrin.png

July 2013 FET #1 - transferred One 5AB embryo, BFN!

November 2013 IVF Invocell Trial, Transferred two Grade 5A embryos, BFN

May 2014 FET #2- transferred two grade 4AA and AB embryos, BFN !!!

November 2014 - Found fluid in Fallopian tubes

December 4 2014 - Removal of both fallopian tubes

February 2015 - Plan to start the Afolia Trial. Praying that the fallopian tubes was the issue and I will see that BFP in 2015!!!

March 2015 - Decided against the trial for now, going with a FET instead. I have one 4 AB embryo left and 2 4BC's.

May -June 2015 - Plan to do the FET with 1 embryo!!

June 2015 FET BFN!

Wanted to do Afolia Trial, but it ended before I got started.

December 2015 - Decided to transfer my last two embryos. Both 4BC's. One from 2008 and one from 2012

Feb 11, 2016 - Transferred 2 4BC embryos

Sono March 7th!!! 6 WEEKS 1 DAY,  heartbeat of 117bpm.

2nd Sono March 21st. Baby's heartbeat 178bpm and measuring a day ahead at 8w3d and released to my OB

1st Regular OB appt is 4/4 at 2pm. Did not get a sono but listened to HB of 166.

2nd OB appt 4/29 at 11:15am. HB 169 It's a boy!!!!!

3rd OB app 5/2, HB 158

Next appt, 5/31 at 18 weeks u/s

Never made it to 5/31 appt. I went to see the Dr, just to hear the heartbeat and there was no heartbeat on May 20th, 2016. Our dreams were shattered in a moment and I delivered the baby stillborn on May 24th at 12:04am.

Court-Knee - you might be the first to transfer in this group!

Hubby and I have gone 2 years without preventing pregnancy (though we weren't trying by any means), and no pregnancy for us either. So here we are again....I'm so grateful that we have frosties. Cycling with a 2 year old should interesting....

Lucky!  My dr. will not do a natural FET even though I ovulate on my own too.  I guess he just likes to control it with medication plus he says they have better success with medicated FET's (at least at my clinic).

That's interesting, most of what I have read and what they told me at the clinic is that the natural FET has better results. Well, as we know in this particular world, not 2 people are the same, not 2 clinics are the same. As long as we have success, it wont matter at the end how "natural" it was.

So I called in and paid $1300 towards my FET. I paid an extra $300 for assisted hatching as I don't have the best success rate with FETs. I start Suprefact injections on May 18th and I'm on week 2 of 3 with the bcp. I feel like my cycle is finally really starting!

How is EOE doing?

Hi may I join this group. I just finally received my protocol today. I started the birth control today for 3 weeks. My FET is set for June 29th. I was asked today if I wanted to pay $300 extra for assisted hatching. This is my first time trying FET and we have some super star 5 day embryos. One is graded a 20/20 and then a few 19+ ones etc. can anyone give me an opinion on doing assisted hatching. I am 42 but my eggs were from a 28 year old donor. Any thoughts?

Sure you can join this group!  If your donor is 28, I do not think you need assisted hatching.  That is recommended for ladies 35 and up :)

Welcome, Tassigirl! You have some nice embies to work with! I'm also at VFC and I thought what is another $300 on top of everything else? I'm hoping it increases my odds, which are about 50%. We are transferring a grade 18 blast. With my daughter, I had transferred a 19 and a 20. The pill Dr. H prescribes makes me spot, and this can be totally normal, so don't worry if it happens. How many times do you have to be at VFC?

So far the protocol only requires an ultrasound on the 22nd and the transfer on the 29th. I live in victoria though so i am lucky it's no big deal if they need me to come in. Everything I read about AH is conflicting. Just as many people for and against doing it, just as many say it did or didn't work. I agree in the grand scheme what is another $300 but at the same time do I want them to mess around with the embryos more. Maybe I will email leigh with more questions :).

So it is for the "egg age" and not my age as much then?

Yes, I wouldn't do it for 28 year old donor eggs. I am sure they will be fine!! Yes, egg age, not woman's age. :)

Glad you are joining us! My transfer will most likely be June 3 or 4th, so will be the first one! Yikes!

My eggs are from when I was 31, but I'm still doing AH - anything to increase my odds!

I go in twice to VFC as well. The 22nd of May for intralipids and an endo scratch. On June 18/19 I have Neupogen, intralipids, and my transfer.
