Hi all, I've been a long time lurker, finally decided to create an account.

Quick introduction:

Me: 29 years old, blocked tubes due to severe pelvic TB at age 20

DH: 30 years old, unexplained azoospermia

We've been married for 10 years now, have been ttc for 7. We were told during my TB treatment that it may effect my fertility, but never would we have guessed that the DH would also have a problem. Sometimes I think that maybe God gave me TB to create this fertility issue in me so that I would not resent DH for the rest of my life.

Anyway, DH will have a microTese in June which will decide our fate. Donor sperm is not an option for us.

We've been very private about our struggles so I'd love to chat with others who are going through the same emotional roller-coaster.

Hi wannabmomma,

I just wanted to say hello and wish you all the best in your TTC journey. I am near Toronto and just starting IVF in May.

We have been quite private about our IVF plans, so I understand how it can be a bit isolating.

Take good care of yourself!!

Hi wannabmomma! Like t-bird, we are also very private with our struggles IRL so it really helps to be able to connect with other people here who are going through similar challenges. Good luck to you and your hubby, all the best!

Thanks for the replies :)

T-Bird: How have you been dealing with the waiting game? I feel like I'm literally waiting and counting the days till DHs procedure. It's been very distracting, my mind just tends to wonder and think about the possibilities. I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but it's proven very difficult.

In other news, I had a HSG yesterday and everything looks to be in tip top shape :)

Hi wannabmomma, we just found out last week about our infertility, myself both tubes blocked and DH not the greatest semen because of reversal. We have to go for more tests and appointments to ask questions. It's all a bit daunting with all these possible outcomes running through my head. So I can totally relate. I feel like we share our struggles with the people in our lives we will get some negative reactions especially since my DH has 3 children from a previous marriage. I hope only the best for you and all the other women on here!! It's a great feeling there is others to talk and who understand. Take care.

Also in Toronto and very much keeping things to ourselves, I also understand the struggles your dealing with and since we all have the same end goal its nice to have a group like this were we can connect.  best of luck :)

Just thought I'd update. DH had the microTese and they were able to retrieve 5 vials of mostly immature sperm. Not sure if 5 vials is a good amount, but we're happy that they found something.

Does anyone have any experience with using frozen immature sperm for icsi?
