The longer version:

My husband Joe and I are hoping to find a great embryo match for both us and our donors. We are 35 and 36 and have no children. We have been struggling with unexplained infertility since we were married seven years ago. Though our life has been wonderful and fulfilling in many other ways we are definitely ready for parenthood. We want to give everything to our kids - fun, culture, education, and of course love.

Family is our top priority - we have the time, love, and money to take great care of a child. We both have flexible jobs that allow us a lot of time with each other, friends, family, and our pets (two adorable, crazy rescue dogs and one free-range, littler box trained bunny.) I work from home 2-3 days a week. My parents are very close to us - emotionally and physically. They are retired and excited to indulge their grandchildren. It has been a pleasure watching all of the activities they do with my nephew. Together, they enjoy things like science experiments, growing vegetables, and going on trips to the beach which are things any child (or adult) would enjoy. Joe's parents are lively, fun people who live in Wisconsin. They have an annual camp for the large group of grandkids at a big house in the Wisconsin country where they do normal camp activities - canoeing, arts and crafts, put on plays, etc. The kids love it and it is a great chance for the young cousins to get to know each other.

Joe and I both have advanced degrees (5 total degrees between us) and education is a very important to us. We look forward to discovering and nurturing our children's interests. We will ensure our kids have whatever they need to achieve their aspirations.

We like enjoy doing a wide variety of activities, from hiking and camping in the great outdoors to theater and ballet in the city. We are lucky to live in the Bay Area where there is great diversity in the activities, environment, and people. We try to balance our time among all the opportunities of the area. We also travel internationally at least once a year - something we plan to continue with our kids.

Joe is a talented athlete (as reported by Kristen, Joe would be embarrassed to say that about himself) who played soccer and rugby through college. He's not much of a t.v. sports watcher but loves to go out and play. I love skiing and horseback riding and can't wait to introduce these activities to my kids.

We are also avid readers and I have a whole list of my favorite children's books to share with our children. Joe and my dad both studied science in college and love to do fun science experiments with my nephew.

Thank you for considering us.
